I feel like you kinda missed the reason everyone hated Bart as The Flash. It wasn't because they liked Wally more or they wanted both characters. It was because Fastest Man Alive betrayed everything that made Bart himself. Gone was an impulsive, fun loving troublemaker. In his place was a guilt-ridden emo with the weight of the world on his shoulders.
I absolutely love Bart Allen aka impulse. He is the first to become the white flash and is by far the fastest and most powerful. He is the only one that Superboy prime actually fears
Dennis Cleary love the appreciation for my cousin Bart but he wasn’t the first to become the white Flash him and my Uncle Barry and everyone else became white lanterns at the same time when Hal Jordan severed the connection between the black lanterns and Superman and Bart is fast but he is not the fastest and most powerful I am the Epitome of The Flash family because I am the only one of all The Flash’s to master the speed force and use it in ways no other Flash can and I have the fastest and strongest connection to the speed force which is white and it is the combination of all the speed force colors and my connection can not be cut off because i have a mainline connection to the speed force and Superboy prime didn’t necessarily feared Bart what he feared was any Flash because after me Jay and Bart chucked him in the speed force and trapped him there he feared any speedster because the power they possess and he hated being in that place anyway I still appreciate the love that you show for my cousin man ⚡️

Sorry wall man I didn’t mean to mess up, what I was referring to was when Bart Allen visited all of the speedsters from all of reality’s in the flashpoint paradox and borrowed their speed force energy and became the white flash. Essentially embodying the energy of the speed force. He did it so he could give his uncle Barry Allen the speed necessary to stop himself from changing the past which created the paradox. Nothing to do with lanterns or the color white it’s just pretty much saying he is the speed force which I don’t believe any other speedster has done before yet. That’s why I believe he is the fastest because he embodies both thawne and Allen which gives him the benefits of both negative and positive speed force. And I do believe that it wouldn’t take just him to put Superboy prime back in the speed force but he gave him the best fight in my opinion.

TURTLE HIMSELF I've always liked Fate, but never knew the in depth details of his power, just the basics. & I've also always noticed how ppl always give the edge to Strange in a vs match because Fate's power is not self contained, but instead comes from the helmet. They're both 2 of my favs, but I've always favored Fate for some reason.

I thought his death in Crisis on Infinite Earths was really tragic and he went out the way a true hero should: sacrificing his life to save countless trillions of other lives across the Multiverse by destroying the Anti-Monitor's device. But then Didiot went and ruined it by having Barry Allen return. His death in the DC Universe was the only one that sticked along with the original Supergirl dying in the same mini-series. But did they bring her back? Nope. So, Rob, you saying that DC bringing back Barry as the Flash solved everything? No it fucking didn't. Barry's return trivialized what Wally had achieved as the Flash after Barry's "death" and also insulted Wally and Bart. Barry should have stayed dead.
alan bray Barry saw and learned from Wally. Wally is not a part of his shadow nor has he suffered from it. Its because of Barry people know more about the flash family with his return. How did it undermine Wally? He beat Reverse flash on his own, and protected the city.
Hey Rob. As you stated as a kid in the 90s and having a father who was huge into comic books and bringing me in as soon as I could read. Young justice was one of my favourite titles to read and Bart Allen was a huge part of that. Thank you for this amazing video.

Yeah...it was. That's the biggest issue with Jon is the giant sore thumb that the last Jon Kent from New 52 superboy was handled. Granted all of the new 52 superboy was ehh but that alternate jon kent was psycho-crazy but still got handled by Kon. Then he got rescued and revived after Kon impaled him on something. Took over the title after that and became good-ish but then he disappeared and Kon showed back up. At this point, Kon's "death" during the 2nd Hel story, the whole 1st jon kent story, even Harvest's story is up in the air canon-wise.
The reason the Bat related charaters have a strange ban because Batman, Robin, Nightwing and Batgirl are a Myth to the public in universe during 90s DC run

Did DC invent the New 52 universe to make people stop reading their comics? I didn't read DC again until Rebirth because most of their comics tried too hard to be edgy and serious. Why would you mess up Impulse by making him a religious fundamentalist from the future?
I'm so happy that the 2003-2011 era Titans are back in rebirth even if it's their Titans Tomorrow versions. The 2003-2011 run is my personal favourite (and also funnily enough the run where they introduced the titans tomorrow timeline) and seeing characters that I have followed since the young justice comics get sidelined because the new 52 titans run didn't sell well just didn't feel right.
Bart is such a fun character, but making him kid Flash was such a mistake - he balked against that title from day one! Thanks for the recap, like a trip through time!
Re:the reason Robin couldn't be in Jurgens' Titans. It was because at the time the editors of the Batman books wanted to enforce the idea that Batman was largely seen as an urban legend by the DCU, and Batman was successful enough that they got their way. So that largely affected Nightwing and ESPECIALLY Robin. This is in spite of the fact that Batman was also a very public figure in Morrison's JLA run, and was on in-universe billboards.
As much time I spent with Bart back then it was a tough job trying to keep a handle on the kid I mean he was a handful but looking back on it those were some glorious times and I miss those days but more than anything else I miss my family and Linda and my cousin Bart being my Kid Flash I need him once again ⚡️

Death of Superman did not destroy death in comics. Characters died and came back before DOS. Also, it didn't kill sales of Superman titles. They went back to around where they were before the news of DOS (a little less due to the downward trend all titles suffer) but do to the massive spike during the event it appears sales were worse when they really weren't. Also, Bart Tor is the worst

Impulse was never really given the light to shine in dc animated universe, but he's a fun and fantastic character. Throwing a mask on him and essentially streamlining his character into kid flash was a horrible decision. His face being shown was how his personality shined through.
I feel like people returning to life in comics was always a thing. Adam warlock and Thanos have both been dying and returning to life since the 1970s. Korvac, Red Skull, Elektra, Grim Reaper, Wonder man, Jean Grey just to name a couple that died and returned well before the Superman thing.
Still my Hands down favorite flash. It made no sense how Bart beat the hell out of Superboy Prime but got nerfed in his own Flash run. Killed by the editors. Late 2000s was a stupid time in both DC and Marvel. They slaughtered their own progress at the beginning of the decade and left it in a ditch to die. *cough hope summers cough*

I've been reading comics since the 60's, and it always makes me cringe when people talk about the Death of Superman. Point one - when the story was announced, DC editors were saying, he would be back, and no they were not going to kill off one of their big stars permanently. Point two - in the early 80's, (before the story in '92) I played a game with friends, (some who went on to work at ILM, and Marvel,) called "Villains & Vigilante's," and we frequently made joke's about rule 3.1, which talked about characters getting killed, and then finding ways to bring them back. (Mostly it was the villains.) Because back then it was already a "thing" in comics. In short even though it's all "recent" history, much of the early history of comics seems to have been forgotten. (Like a year before Bruce Banner became the Hulk, DC published a Jimmy Olsen story where in he became a big purple brute called "the Hulk.") Rob as always thank you, and hope you and all the Rob Corps have a great new year.
Bart Allen was my favorite speedster, hate when they aged him up but that made it extra sweet when he returned in Final Crisis: Legion of Three Worlds! New 52 bastardized him i sincerely hope he, Conner and Cassie return after Doomsday Clock and they and Tim form there own team like a Young Justice reboot with an Outsiders type flavor
The sad thing is I grew up with Wally west in the justice league cartoon never really knew about Barry till I got my first comic book that was flash of two earths and I fell in love with Barry then watching young justice I found s new love for Wally again but when I was first introduced to Bart was in smallville and really enjoyed Bart in that show and then when they rolled Bart into young justice I just fell in love with Bart as much as Barry but Wally always seemed this smooth talking guy who always gets shot down by the girls I thank justice league and justice league unlimited for that it's very sad to me

hi i no many love kid flash me too lol but im more of an impulse fan lol....loved walley west as kid flash and like him as flash even more lol they should have kept barry dead walley was flash way longer than barry smh.... but anyways mark waid created impulse and he did a great job on character till the disagreement they should have have his way and let him stay impulse......and if they wanted another kid flash back at dc then they could have just done what they did with the black walley west introduced as a kid flash ...but gave him a different name and made him be a little mysterios till people got to know him then later linked him to being from walleys family and had walley train him as the new kid flash....that would make more sence than them just trying to get rid of the walley west we all no as the real kid flash and flash lol

I really got a kick out of Impulse!
Impulse was never really given the light to shine in dc animated universe, but he's a fun and fantastic character. Throwing a mask on him and essentially streamlining his character into kid flash was a horrible decision. His face being shown was how his personality shined through.
I think Bart's run as Kid Flash, was his best.
I feel like people returning to life in comics was always a thing. Adam warlock and Thanos have both been dying and returning to life since the 1970s. Korvac, Red Skull, Elektra, Grim Reaper, Wonder man, Jean Grey just to name a couple that died and returned well before the Superman thing.

Still my Hands down favorite flash. It made no sense how Bart beat the hell out of Superboy Prime but got nerfed in his own Flash run. Killed by the editors. Late 2000s was a stupid time in both DC and Marvel. They slaughtered their own progress at the beginning of the decade and left it in a ditch to die. *cough hope summers cough*

I've been reading comics since the 60's, and it always makes me cringe when people talk about the Death of Superman. Point one - when the story was announced, DC editors were saying, he would be back, and no they were not going to kill off one of their big stars permanently. Point two - in the early 80's, (before the story in '92) I played a game with friends, (some who went on to work at ILM, and Marvel,) called "Villains & Vigilante's," and we frequently made joke's about rule 3.1, which talked about characters getting killed, and then finding ways to bring them back. (Mostly it was the villains.) Because back then it was already a "thing" in comics. In short even though it's all "recent" history, much of the early history of comics seems to have been forgotten. (Like a year before Bruce Banner became the Hulk, DC published a Jimmy Olsen story where in he became a big purple brute called "the Hulk.") Rob as always thank you, and hope you and all the Rob Corps have a great new year.
Bart Allen was my favorite speedster, hate when they aged him up but that made it extra sweet when he returned in Final Crisis: Legion of Three Worlds! New 52 bastardized him i sincerely hope he, Conner and Cassie return after Doomsday Clock and they and Tim form there own team like a Young Justice reboot with an Outsiders type flavor

The sad thing is I grew up with Wally west in the justice league cartoon never really knew about Barry till I got my first comic book that was flash of two earths and I fell in love with Barry then watching young justice I found s new love for Wally again but when I was first introduced to Bart was in smallville and really enjoyed Bart in that show and then when they rolled Bart into young justice I just fell in love with Bart as much as Barry but Wally always seemed this smooth talking guy who always gets shot down by the girls I thank justice league and justice league unlimited for that it's very sad to me
