- Today I'm sharing a NEW Dollar Tree Bird Feeder DIY along with 7 of my favorite outdoor Bird Feeder and Bird Bath Diys. I used Dollar Tree supplies along with some thrift and recycled materials to make my them and they're all easy to make and perfect to attract birds to your home and add to your outside garden decor.

I love doing projects with my grandchildren. One of their favorite things is birds. Feeding the birds is something we grew up doing and my children were raised feeding birds. I have taught my grandchildren that there is much joy in feeding birds so these projects couldn't be better. It's amazing how you made such great pieces for little to no money.

the tea cups keep the squirrels out, too small for them…. otherwise, everything else they figure out.
the squirrels ignore my dog, and for the most, she ignores them.
AWWW..poor hungry little squirrels need food too! 😢❤️🐿️ I mean they ARE annoying but they are SOOO FUNNY showing off their gymnastics skills to get to the bird seed! 😂🥳🥰

The projects are creative and pretty, the change I would make is using non-toxic, pet and wildlife friendly glues and sealants.
Hi Ruby 😊 Awesome suggestions! I did research the products I used and they stated they were all safe, but I will definitely look into using other glues and paints for future projects. Have a great day, friend!
Thank you for the view of the red wing blackbird! I haven’t seen one in years since they came in the morning to my fathers corn field. DDT killed them off. I love their sound in the mornings. Am 82 and will make one of your feeders for my Bluejay and Cardinals. Thank you again.
Hi Lepha 💕 I'm so happy you enjoyed them and that you could see the beautiful red wing blackbrid. I live in MA and we have a bunch of them here always at the feeders. It's so sad they were killed off by the chemicals ~ I love the Cardinals too and we just had Bluejays returning a few years ago, sadly, they had met the same fate as your red wing blackbirds. My best friend would tease me to death about my love of bird feeders! I really never did care though. I admit it, I love the birds around my house especially the cardinals! Gonna make these you can bet! Beautiful job!
Hi Lisa! I love watching the birds I find it so relaxing ~ I do bring the feeders/baths in during inclement weather to prolong their life but if you use better quality products you can leave them outside. Maybe make one for your friend LOL! Happy Crafting!

Feeders were amazing, Feeders not allowed in my tiny condo yard. The Bird bath idea GREAT thanks. I have water dishes all over my porch, needed your upgrade hanging birdbath idea. A Friend & I rescue birds that hit the glass skyscrapers in Newark NJ, Most that hit the skyscrapers perish on impact, or when fall to cement. TRT made a video 'Window Strikes in the Business District' of us picking up injured Warblers. TRT nurses them back to health.

@@LoriBlyeDIY Thank you, I just pick up the injured very gently & quick, most of the time cannot even ID them as try to do it in seconds as do not want to cause any additional stress to the injured. TRT (The Raptor Trust) nurses them, we just get them to TRT as fast as we can, it is about an hour west of Newark. Here is a TRT video they have a Warbler I brought in, it was concussed when I found it on the pavement and could not move, if I did not pick up a Gull would have eaten him ua-cam.com/video/mlFGAtA34O0/v-deo.html

Here, we have rain and it tends to mold the seeds. Drainage would have to be included. I LOVE the pine cone wreaths!!!

I love that pinecone bird feeder but we have a lot of mourning doves and I would be refilling it every half hour. I think they tell all their friends
I love feeding the birds too and mine bring a whole bunch of their friends! LOL
These were great projects. I’m a mosaic artist and YES E-6000 is perfect for gluing glass or ceramic for outdoors. If you have ever seen glass totems, that’s what keeps them together. Please use in well ventilated area, it’s very toxic if inhaled.

Awesome video. Please be aware that when you create a bird house, leave the perch off. This perch creates an unwelcoming of predators that steal eggs. Perches are cute but really pose more accessibility to bird feeders. ❤

This is a fabulous video with so many creative ideas!!! I just moved to a place with so many’s birds. I just placed two bird feeders out with a bird bath and recently painted another one for them. I just love having my cup of coffee in the morning while watching the birds. This has given me so many ideas for more bird houses and with 20 aches of land I can definitely put more. Great ideas so pretty. They just cleared a area next to where I live it was a natural wildlife area for birds with rabbits. So now I can add this to area great🤗

I would also use some sandpaper on the edge of the plate so the birds can also grip the edge or glued a couple of the wood in the plate

OMG Lori, the branch stick bird feeders/bird houses are fantastic. I would add spray painting the cans before adding sticks so the silver can never shows through. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸

I would glue some moss from the dollar tree on the cans and the small crate then add the sticks as not to use so many sticks.
