Accept that some customers will try and screw you over, you will lose money on some sales, it`s part of selling that will never go away and should be budgeted for. Always deal with any customer complaints as a number one priority, email comes in, deal with it right away. Put aside all personal feelings and ego, be very polite, apologise that they have had a problem for any item with any issue. Just refund for low value items without returns, it`s not financially worth it to have an item returned and it`s extra hassle for the customer who already has an unwanted purchase sitting there. Take the loss and move on, never take it personally, even if you know that you have done nothing wrong.
@@UncleMort yep this is so true! The thing with this is it is so they can get free return postage which in the grand scheme of things would have cost me an extra say £3 per sale. Regardless I should have reported at the time
@@boldfinds There is no such thing as free, someone is covering the cost of the return postage, eBay I presume. So now eBay are recovering the cost from you by the additional seller fees.
I was in the same position. I realised that I had let things slide and the only action I took was being annoyed. I decided to appeal them all and managed to get out of the very high inside of 3 months. Sales wise though, honestly it’s so slow…lots of people saying the same. I’ve never known this month to be so slow.
Ebay are coming across as flailing around and desperate to make more money. I'm not convinced they actually know the logic for some of their decisions lately 😮
with the new ebay buyer protection thing coming, it makes sense to look elsewhere. let it sink. i'm so bearish on ebay right now. btw, (not sure how accurate) 21% of listings are below 5£. Now 0.75 fee is big and + the up to 4%, + you get your money when buyer choose to, is no no
Mate, they won’t remove them even after reporting. You won’t even get a reply regarding the report. You’ll have to given them a call in a week or two and ask them to manually remove the inads from the list.
If you a top seller you get a discount on fees. So since your in ebay jail your not being charged a fee. Your just not getting the discount that you have before
The trouble with any type of collection is you have to firstly wait in all day for them to come and collect. Also I’ve had collections before and they have not been picked up. Easier for me to drop the parcels off at the shop and get on with my day
@@boldfindsyes I did look and it looks like I will be out of it. I’ve heard a lot of sellers are having a slow period. Hopefully will pick up. I agree vinted saved me also 😊

@ my policy is if the item is does not fit or change of mind they cover the return. They have bypassed this by selecting the reason inad

I closed my account down they don't care about there sellers just like Amazon

Vinted much better - better sale , easier , cheaper to buy stuff etc
Thinking to stop using eBay and focus on Vinted only

Just wondering, would collection from royal mail tracked48 be more time effective

I agree with that
Waiting is a hassle
They normally come 11 to 1 so by lunch i'm done for the day
