In many countries, stray dogs are a common occurrence.
But in Turkey, there was one particular stray dog that caught people's attention. In fact, it was impossible not to notice the animal. The patient dog spent his days sitting by the same storm drain and peering down into it. - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини

In my experience, it isn't that so many people don't have the heart to help others like that, just that they don't realize when someone (or some animal) needs help or knows what to do to provide that help. It's really easy to just walk on past things in life never noticing what is going on around you. I guarantee had everyone walking by that dog known what was going on, it would have been swarmed with people wanting to help out.

@@The_CholoBro, it isn't about watching the video, it's that a story that could have been explained in like 20 words instead lasted 8 minutes. Like I came to this video already figuring that the dog was protecting some animal in the drain so I didn't need to watch that long. This is a typical tactic. They drag the video on for no reason, even 3-5 minutes would be forgivable for some stories, but this isn't even a long story.

If this made u cry, it means it touched you in a soft spot. That means you're not heartless .. you can go forward and live your life like the dog did; even if he was homeless, his kindness made karma return the favor, he now has a home and a safe place and no more worries...
Same story for myself, once i started living by true values, and not "capitalist" values, all of a sudden my lift went into the other direction, life provides for me as i provide for other life. That is what karma does; it's the great equalizer for the universe...
That dog is very talented. He turned to 3 or 4 different breeds during this story.

This was a beautiful story. Animals are so smart and loving. I love animals and would love to have more. I am 83 and take great care of my 12 year old puppy Sugar Bear.
When I went to get him at 10 weeks old he came straight to me and wouldn't leave my side. He knew he was going home with his mommy. He never looked back.
I mean this goes against the old narrative that cats and dogs are mortal enemies. This is a great and heart warming story to hear.
We had a Yellow Lab and a Snowshoe cat. Cat would lie down by the dog. They got along well, never any fighting.
The stereotype that domestic dogs and cats don't get along comes from rural areas where people have multiple cats and untrained dogs all living exclusively outdoors. It used to be common to put out a singular food source for them, and the dogs would regularly kill the cats and chase them from the food. Felines are far better at night than canines, so the cats would return at night to scavenge scraps. If they were starving, they would kill puppies and drag them away. Over time the dogs realized that the cats were either going to eat their food or try and kill their offspring, so they became very intolerant of them. That is why we don't see this behavior amongst pets that are adequately fed and housed. As long as they all have enough food and space, dogs and cats generally get along just fine.
Cats and dogs are mortal enemies because humans say so. In reality cats and dogs can clearly get along just fine.
@@ShanesAutos I agree. I mentioned that the cats VS dogs thing is mostly due to competition for food, which leads to conflict. In present day most people don't feed cats and dogs from the same food source (if they're pets) so it's not as much of an issue. The exception being some species of dog that have their prey drive triggered by a fleeing cat. Northern breeds (Siberian and Alaskan huskies, malamutes, samoyeds, Norwegian elkhounds etc.) are especially prone to killing cats that they weren't raised with.

My cat listens like a dog, i've never punished her for bad behaviour, and she never shows any bad behaviour either. If she does something i don't like, i only have to show her i don't like it, and she won't do it again. If you don't have the respect of your cat, it's because u don't deserve it.
Most people think they need to dominate over their animals, which is so totally wrong.. Would you like to be dominated the whole time? I don't think so ... I request my cat to do things, and she does them gladly. I walk my cat without a leash, and i live across a nice park; she never crosses the street if i'm not with her, that's how nice my cat is, she only leaves our porch if I'm there by her side... She loves to guard our door when i'm not at home, and the moment i'm coming from behind the corner, she immediately runs towards me and starts meowing "i missed you, you're finally back" while running...
And the craziest thing of all is, this is a rescue cat from a warzone (Mariupol, Ukraine) and in 1 year she totally changed from a scared traumatized cat to a cat that loves to be outside again, that shows nothing but respect, never misbehaves. She lost everything, was shot at by russian soldiers (bullet removed from belly during sterilisation), still she found the strength to trust humans again, but only myself and those that I trust...

@@BoGy1980 Not all cats are the same, so I find these comments that generalize a species really foolish. Like saying all animals are kinder than humans or something when that's not true. Just because your cat behaves well doesn't mean all of them do. It's like saying all dogs are friendly, but there are dogs that become aggressive due to instincts. So, think objectively before giving such a lengthy speech based solely on personal experience, as you won't even encounter 1% of the cats alive in the world.

When you come to Turkey, feel free to ask for (no pay) bones to give to the dogs. 90% will try to help you, except for those who are socialite or not friendly. Butchers may not be able to find a bone to give you in the morning, but if you go towards the evening, they will most likely try to meet your needs. I occasionally take bones from a (familiar) butcher near us and boil them for at least 1 hour. Dogs eat more easily and I can add some bread to the bone broth. Despite this heartwarming story, I must say; There is a very serious stray dog problem in Turkey and these dogs should be hosted in animal shelters (in accordance with their conscience) until the end of their lives.
I wish goodness and beauty for everyone who loves animals, people and plants.

Similar issue here in NJ. Kittens were found in a drain, but were not washed down the drain. The mother cat gave birth to her kittens in the drain feeling that it was safe when it really was not. She would carry food down to them all the time and could easily have carried them out of the drain. Fire company did come to the rescue eventually. I enjoyed the story and was happy that the kittens were rescued as well as Benny.
Poor animals. Im glad they could get a way out.

I love Istanbul and it doesn’t surprise me that this story is from there. People are so kind to their stray dogs and cats. The dogs ride the subways from restaurant to restaurant and lay peacefully outside for food and attention and the cats even have their own parks which are very secure and have police protection. It’s just another side of the people that most Instagrammers are never aware of - showing that it’s not just the place, but the people (and animals) make a place special !!!

Greetings to all animal lovers. I was the happy owner of 2 beautiful AKC Schnauzers. One was a regional champion obedience trial blue ribbon Champ! I took such JOY as a volunteer at our local animal shelter. One day they called me & reported they received a stray SCHNAUZER puppy. 😮Who could refuse such an offer? Unfortunately her tail was not docked. I took her to our vet who said it was not a good idea to dock her tail. Disappointed I concurred. Not the end of the story. That tail has been our JOY for over 13 years!! ❤❤

We went to the nearby animal shelter to pick out a new kitty friend for our other cat who was seeming to be pretty lonely around last Christmas and then out of nowhere the new kitty chose me to be its owner literally jumping into my arms and purring as loud as possible and especially refusing to let go it’s an amazing moment to have a pet chose you instead of you choosing your pet

Some photos seemed consistent with the language written on the firetruck and firemen, and the woman looked the same in the two images (of her petting the dog and the storm drain open). It may be that it's hard to find the record in that particular language, and that it was covered in the news, which often is difficult to capture as they keep moving on to new stories and leave old records behind.
Also, as to your dream stated in your username, you're already a UA-camr! It may take time to move up the subscriber chain, but remember, it's not where you end up, but it's the journey and friends you made along the way.
