"i did my research" *10 seconds in* "WOAH WOAH HOLD UP"
Right! I guess he didn't see any pictures of them. The masks have him a lil Skeeerd
He probably only looked at first results and was looking for info on the bands history. Google shows minimal amount of photos unless you're specifically browsing images, and usually will only do up to date photos.
Wikipedia doesnt show photos of all the masks used. He was surprised by the mask change. He doesnt know about that because he's never followed them through the years. Thats how people forget history. Only concerned with the current and not where things came from.
Got 'em! HA HA HAHAA! love this reaction. LOL
Best part of his reaction is 2:56, he cracks up when he sees Craig's mask!
He called "TIMEOUT!!"
I'm From Des Moines Iowa. One of my good friends in high school was in this music video. I was planning on going too, but my boss called me into work. I was foolish enough to not let my boss down, and has been one of my biggest regrets in life for missing out. It was just a high school grocery job after all. Fun fact: the first kid in the opening scene flew in from England just to be in this video. The members thought it was so cool that the kid was that much of a fan, they put him front and center for the opening shot.
Edit: 2 weeks ago my fiance won tickets to knotfest with meet and greets in Tampa Florida. I had a 2 day notice and told my boss I was going. I did, and I still have a job. Moral of the story, dont live life with regrets.
That sucks sorry bro glad you made up for it later🤘
Great story, great advice !!!
All that ends well init😂😁
I'm so glad that you atleast got a chance to meet those legends
im so sorry man
Hey Shaq, just so you're aware, the masks are a reflection of their own personal selves. Each album they update their masks as they're growing as musicians and people.
And they say it helps them become there stage selves like the beast within type thing
Okay so their first 3 albums they had the same masks, but after that they started updating them regularly
"each album they update their masks as they're growing as musicians and people"
Mick, Chris and Craig: 😐
instablaster.
Fun fact Shaq: they paid a fan 50k to use his house for the video, but I'm not sure if that was enough.
He was already going to demolish it. They just pit it to good use lol.
Tom Joint not even that it took the record label $500,000 to make the video
That’s awesome
@@randompolishguy6476 I don't think it was getting demolished. They had to pay a lot for repairs
They were renovating so they wanted to knock some walls down, but they went too crazy and almost tore the whole place down, so Roadrunner had to pay for the repairs
Wait and Bleed by slipknot, bangin', trust me
I was thinking of this song too!
Truth
Absolutely. This is my favorite song by them.
Got me into them tbh, good call m8
My favorite slipknot song!
Love when rap people get into metal share the HEAVY METAL love what's up...
@Paul The alien ahahahhah
This guy's so genuine, seriously.
Ik you gotta love shaq😂
React to Tech N9ne ft. Corey Taylor of Slipknot "Wither." This would be the perfect meeting of your hip hop and metal tastes Shaq! DO IT!!!

Yes! Please react to Wither
@@joshokon2800 unfortunately he doesn't read his comments on old videos. I kept trying to get his attention on UA-cam and Twitter but I can't so I guess it's whatever😔
Yes! I forgot all about that one! Great song!
Hell yeah!
Slipknot - Psychosocial
Purists don’t like it, but it’s their most popular track, and the track that converted me into an actual metal fan.
its really good. video is cool too
Cuz wait and bleed is their most popular imo but Psychosocial is good too
Psychosocial Baby feat. Justin Bieber 😂
Snuff is a killer
Yass
Joey is a nut on the drums. Miss him in the knot.
Dude joy and Paul :(
👏👏👏
Joey is a fkin godd💪💪
He's missing out though, Slipknot is still going strong.
@@jamesshawn4746 And chris now :(
Still remember 6th grade at the library after school using other ppls computer logins off the sheet to watch hours of slip knot music videos when my friend first put me on to them. It was def one of the dark times in my life. Parents separated, I was slipping in a friend’s basement when I was staying with my mom, n my dads house had no heat or electricity or water. Their music related to the anger n confusion I felt as a 12 yr old during the 08 recession. This was the first song I ever heard of theirs. I’ve been hooked ever since.
“ I like to do my research”
*couple seconds later *
“What’s up with the masks?”
Slipknot always wear their masks however the lead singer, corey taylor and i believe one other member is in a hard rock band called Stone sour and they dont wear masks
It was Jim Root but he got fired before .5 The Grey Chapter came out.
Mainly they wear masks for when the band is together. Least from what I have seen.
Ugh...
Stone sour is the nickelback of metal lol
Jim Root, but he got yeeted
DabberDan
I like both... but ight lol
Mainly Corey’s voice that draws me
But literally everything in Slipknot draws me, not just Corey.
Arrrrgggh RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE Coach come on!
I 2nd this
I love watching them in concert on UA-cam. I can definitely feel the energy from the music.
Back in the 90s and early 00s my furthest exposure to metal was Disturbd, Rage and Godsmack but Slipknot is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.
Slipknot “Spit it Out” live Download 2009
I was just about to post the same thing! If he thinks the "house party" was nuts, can't wait to see his reaction when the crowd jumps. That and Joey's kit was awesome on that tour!
Jump the fuck up!!!
Why wouldn't you want him to do the studio version so he can actually hear and understand whats being said first then the live version?
I don't think he would do both. Lyrics can be read in the phone.
That show is jawdropping. I want to see his face
@@wooze4sho (1) because he can pull the lyrics up and (2) he's already reacted to a studio video, he should do a live one both to see the band's performance but, even more so, the size and intensity of the crowd. Just my opinion.
Pantera-This Love. Side note, saw Slipknot, Rammstein, System of a Down at the Pledge of Allegiance tour in Dallas Texas after the September 11th attacks. Greatest show I’ve ever seen
I got trucked by a 400 pound dude in a mosh pit to this song on a hill at Cynthia woods in Texas slid down the hill for days bro
The woodlands
Just seen ozzy and stone sour there
Was this knot fest cause it got crazy cause I was there. I was supposed to have corporate coming to my store the next day. No fucking regrets cause they put on a hell of a show! Going this year as well
Go Phone I was in the middle of 3 mosh pits - kinda like a triangle. I was happy when this other big dude joined me and my friend. It was so f’n cool.
Do before I forget by slipknot.
Tech Nine Wither with Corey Taylor from Slipknot
Man I just checked that. Shits lit as fuck!
Yas!!!!
Fuckin love that shit
Yeah, shaq needs to do that next.
He already reacted to that song
Slipknot-eyeless. One of my favorites because it's so unique
Every time I watch Shaq react, I am anticipating that “man, you white people are CRAAAZY, dats tough!”
Haha me too and this is coming from a mixed girl
Slipknot posted an ad in a local newspaper inviting fans to come to a video shoot of the song. That video was of fans who showed up with the only rule being not touching the band. Slipknot rented the home for one day for the shoot. And that's what the fans did or so that's how the urban legend of this video goes.
Coach... Rage against The Machine "Bulls on Parade "
He wants bars, Rage is where he'll find them.
Corey Taylor is a huge Eminem fan. He keeps tweeting trying to get a collaboration but Eminem never replies to him. Eminem can rap to rock but Slipknot music? Or would Corey sing to eminem music. Which way would work better I keep wondering
Travis Tousant nah. It would have to be Corey singing on Ems song. Kinda like he did with Tech.
ua-cam.com/video/H7PMhkEyXkc/v-deo.html
Cory could do it for sure. Spit it Out is a very heavy fast “Rap” song.
I would love to see Em and Cory in some sort of collaboration.
Eminem was rap rock.
Both are so versatile they could make it work either way. most likely Corey on Eminem, but it would work in a Korn/ice cube type of way as well
lmao " IM NOT GONNA MAKE IT " hahaha this dude cracks me up
I remember my first Slipknot show with my buddy who had never been to a metal show. I took off my glasses, put them in their case, and zipped them up in my pocket. He said "why are you taking off your glasses?" I said, "you're about to find out!"
Tool- Pushit Salival ( from their live album they recorded at a live concert) ❤
Tool - 46&2
Tool - Third Eye
Tool - Schism
He's not ready for TOOL so please don't do it just yet... again not ready
Yeah, while I'd love to hear his reaction to just about anything from Tool, especially any of their songs that has a video (since they are beyond creative), I am not sure he is ready for that yet.
TOOL (to me), is the Eminem of Metal, their music/lyrics/everything just transcends to a whole new level that no one else can touch.
that pushit version live in maine '98 truly is fuckin' gold. the way he sings that shit gives me chills EVERYTIME. the scream at the end is just on another level...god level lol
@@MrRavager420 yes! They are sooo good, I cry Everytime. The music Godz literally lay you down and fuck the music into your soul. ❤🎶
Yes! Great list !
Rage against the machibe! THOSE BAAAARSSSS
Someone : breaths
Shaq: THATS TOUGH
Buddy, you’re excellent! I have never really liked reaction videos, but you absolutely put a smile on my face with this particular video . I love that you are willing to look into styles that you would have never experienced otherwise. And it seems to be growing on you!
You rule
Slipknot is known for their masks. They're all also each assigned a number they have a bunch of members. And Just like hip-hop and rap, metal or rock in general, has changed over the years. Slipknot sounds different than the other bands youve covered like Metallica and Megadeth which is called thrash metal, while Slipknot is referred to as nu metal. I didn't listen to rock at first either but metal does have BARS lol
Bro, your "I'm not gonna make it" was on point!! Good on ya man and I LOVE your reactions! You get hype when you need to and that makes me happy seeing you enjoy stuff like I do. I wasn;t allowed to listen to any rock music growing up so I only listened to R&B/rap/pop/country. So yeah I just got into rock and metal about 10 years ago. Keep being you!
He hit that note!!
Over the past few months you've literally become my favorite UA-camr. Stoked on all you've accomplished and can't wait to see whats to come!
Im a simple man, i see Slipknot, i click🤙💯
Try slipknot - wait and bleed, spit it out (live) or left behind. All great videos! Some rapping too 👍🏻
an omoys the devil in I too answeome video
Left behind 🤦♂️
Corey taylor voice is very 👌👌👌
I keep sayn he's gotta check out Spit it Out. It's straight outta the Shining.
I love how unbiased you are bro. Not a lot of reaction channels switch their choices up.
Dude, how many bands you know that let their fans that close... Mad respect...R.I.P paul
It's really fun coming on your journey exploring metal, i've binged a bunch of your vids!
Rap Metal Band?? Please React to Rage Against the Machine - Bulls On Parade/Killing In The Name/Know Your Enemy. This band will blow your mind Shaq.
^This
Lmao Dudes purposely taking the long long route for Rage. He might actually say meh just cause or he will say whoooaahhh wtf and how the hell haven't i heard this shyt. Closest thing to rap just toss in a whole lower section of a concert that has turned completely mosh. Sea of mosh. There's only a few bands that I know that can start a riot at the drop of a dime. Cheesy as it may be, another is the Chocolate Starfish himself Limp Bizkit.
Lmao I had to remove Rage from my drive in Cali traffic playlist cause straight goin sideways mentally all the time. But anyways, someday maybe he'll get to hear stuff most people wish their fav rappers would say.
DOPE also will.
Know your enemy
Guerrilla radio too
Skindread - Nobody... Its got Carribean influence.. but its metal.. with lyrics like "Skindred we in-ah your area
Bringing the raucous you know we superior" Its gonna get you hyped up!!!! GO GET EM COACH....!

I just found your channel today and I am amazed at how just watching your reactions really makes us, as the viewers feel like we are truly part of the experience and that is something special to do with you shaq. There are a lot of reaction channels that do not have that character and charisma that you have. Mad respect for your openness to all genres, when I seen slipknot and chris Stapleton mixed with little dicky and bill burr I was sold.
I just came across your stuff yesterday...love it! Dude, you are a character! Your reactions are awesome!
I'd love to see how you would react to Marylin Manson. 😂🤣 I'm laughing just imagining it!
Benaboo73 i want to see his reaction to being at a Manson concert😂
I dunno if UA-cam can handle the reaction he would give
Agreed Manson
He needs to react to the video where Manson is in his thing and fishnets 🤣🤣 Id pay money to see that reaction from him
Did you see Slipknot and Manson together? It was wild!
Fun fact, they actually completely destroyed the house and had to pay the couple for a new one
Luis Gomez ooooops. I posted the same fact. Lol
They pay you 2 million youd let them destroy your house to

Johnny cash "a boy named sue"
i love watching your videos. keep up the awesome reactions! tampa, florida 🤘
You got my "like" just for you opening your musical horizon. Props!
For more slipknot you gotta look at something off of Iowa their studio album. ' People = shit' is great or Disasterpiece is another good one
Not the first album??
@@captaingnarlydavidson957 the first album is dope, dont get me wrong i just think iowa is slipknot at their best
I second Disasterpiece
Everything ends
Yes bro already suggested disasterpiece, hope he does it. Love people=shit too
YOU HAVE TO REACT TO RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE DOWN RODEO, BULLS ON PARADE AND GURELLIA RADIO AND MORE YOU WILL LOVE IT. SLIPKNOT IS GREAT BUT IT CA BE OVERPLAYF
no one wants to hear the same lyrics repeated over and over and over and over and over.... Rage is a subliminal band.
Slipknot is love
Slipknot is life
These are great because it's just people sharing things they're passionate about and enjoy. So I'm sure buddy gets so many recommended songs 😂
Metal slowly creeps into that dark part of your heart and helps you express it and get it out of your system. also why most metal heads are actually really kind unless you do something to earn it
hallowed be thy name iron maiden please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great reactions love it
i went through simular experiences and iron maiden really changed the game for me. Groovy deep and fucking METALLLLL lol
Nah his intro to maiden should be fear of the dark live while hallowed is my favorite maiden song fear live would be the perfect intro to the energy of maiden
Wicker man at rock in Rio would be good choice as well
React To Slipknot - Snuff
luka benidze yasss!
Yes!!
Just seeing the title makes me depressed lol. Love that song
Absolutely yassss!!!!
I just discovered you and you are MAKING MY LIFE WHOLE. I’m a huge metal fan and your reactions are priceless. Seeing the Knot on the 11th in Tinley Park (Chicago) 🤘
I love your videos man. Your energy is awesome when you watch these💯💟
Shaq, you should look up fun facts about the drummer Joey Jordison, he's probably held as one of the best drummers of all time not only in metal and rock but in general. There are so many awesome and fun facts about stuff he's done durring concerts, as stand in for other bands as he seemingly is the only drummer skilled enough to act as a stand in, and much more. He is why I fell in love with Slipknot in the first place.
We need shaq to react to rage against the machine, especially killing in the name of, it has bars I promise
Yeah, like three whole bars. Good song though
My thoughts exactly pierre117 hahaha.
Literally one of their worst songs for bars. Good to jam to, very basic lyrics though.
Watching you react to metal music makes me wanna listen to metal again. Had the same reaction as you throughout the song 😂
I really love all these different UA-cam reaction videos because it has brought different genres of music to people who usually never fuck with it. I love it!
Nooo! Nooo! I saw someone request Daddy By Korn.. Please don't do that one. Not many can handle that song. Never ever do Daddy.
I feel like its the same as Kim,never react to it on screen it makes it that much more awkward
This song will ruin Korn for first timers 100% if the time.
100% agree. Ease into korn before daddy.
Daddy is a very hard song to listen to. I still tear up, and I've been a fan since they came out.
yea dont do daddy yet
React to Pantera-Cowboys From Hell
Pantera is awesome but that is definitely not there best song
That's your opinion.
In my opinion Cowboys From Hell is one of their best songs. :S
@@Hadesll have you even listened to all 9 of there albums?
@@Hadesll 3 of them are bad but the other 6 are good
I only listened: Far Beyond Driven (my favorite one), Vulgar Display Of Power, Cowboys From Hell and The Greath Southern Trendkill
I know that Pantera have great songs, but i think Cowboys From Hell is one of their best. I think he should react to "Hollow" though, 'cause of the meaning that it have, but idk, i feel he will gone crazy with Cowboys From Hell haha
Yo I was watching videos of you at night bored asf. You've made me a fan with these metal reactions funny entertaining and 0 hate for the community keep it up brother🤘
"I'm used to the heavy drops, but not used to the mask" 😂
TOOL, Rage Against the Machine, and Primus next!
Astral Walker Definitely need to listen to some Tool & Primus!
RAGEE AGAISNT THE MACHINE - KILLING IN THE NAME OF that's kind of rap metal
why? so he can react to the same words over and over again? stupid choice for someone trying to get into metal
@@kourtjestr552 no, so he can do 2 metal reaction in one day because on of them is rap metal, and RATM shows that metal can be anything + it's very cool
Dude. There are way more better bands out there than Rage Against The Machine that combine rap and metal. In fact, Rage is one of the WORST ones to introduce for that type of sound. Get off the RATM bullshit already. Killing in the Name of is such an overrated song. It's not even good. Boring ass song.
My mans we call that Nu metal 😉
Pick a better song than one that has basically the same 4 lines over and over and over.
Five finger death punch- wrong side of heaven. It hits home for alot of us vets.
You've gotta go to a show. You've gotta get on the rail. In the pit. Let out ALL OF YOUR AGGRESSION! It's the most amazing feeling ever!!
Hey Shaq, love your rock and metal reactions. Listen to some more Metallica!
Metallica - And Justice For All
Metallica - Welcome Home (sanitarium)
Metallica - Ride the Lightning
Metallica - Fade to Black
Metallica - Leper Messiah
Metallica - Orion (my favorite instrumental)
Metallica - Dyers Eve
The list goes on and on but these are a few of the great
Tool - Right in two 👍🏼
Tool - Shchism 👍🏼

Forty Six & 2
Naw dude. Have him react to jambi live by tool. Can you imagine his reaction when he sees how they play the solo? I was in shock when I first saw it. I actually thought it was a guitar not vox fx
Tool is one of the best ever. Insane rhythms, arguably the best ever
I was hoping you'd react to this one. Took me a minute to find it but I'm glad I did. Thank you Shaq
I loved watching your reaction to this!
I've been in a couple of mosh pits like the ones in the video. They are mental.
React to System of a Down chop suey
I’d say BYOB instead. The reaction would be priceless.
Brad Waggoner true, I just thought more people are going to like the comment because more people know chop suey, and as long as he gets introduced to soad, I can’t wait when that day comes
Definitely a valid point. Either song will be a great video for sure!
I think prison son would be my first suggestion for soad
Gayest system of a down song
Do Limp Bizkit!! Break Stuff, N 2 Gether Now (feat, Method Man), Hot Dog, Boiler, Re-Arranged... are all great songs.
Ew!
Just found your videos and your reactions absolutely love it man keep it going. Hilarious.
Sevendust is a hard core rock group with a black singer... They freaking rock!
Rage against the machine PLEASE! You will love them!
Shaq da goat 🐐🐐🐐
This is hilarious, his reaction is so genuine. I enjoy watching other people react to music who are not familiar with other genres.
My first Slip Knot show. You bought lawn tickets or seats. They dont do that at the show anymore because everyone rushes the stage anyways. People on the lawn started 3 bon fires and mosh pits running around them. Two Water cannons from the top of the back building were on trying to put them out people held on to one another to block the cannons. One of the band members body surfed all the way to the back building in an attempt to get the crowd to lift him to the roof to grab a water cannon and I mean they were ligit fire hoses. Lol it was the greatest thing ever so much energy so much fun.
Do Korn - Twisted Transistor, hiliarious music video.
At least he didn't start with Devil in I, not to say he shouldn't react to that
Sebastian Shields best video they’ve ever made imo.....
He just did lmao
Didnt even watch the video before I clicked the Like button. Just the fact you went there shaq... big ups
Dude i love it man i like both so im a diffinite fan of ur reactions on the metal
Your next Slipknot song to react to is either snuff, kill pop, or the devil in i
Yes!! Those are the 1st ones I requested for him to react to! I also suggested Vermilion Part 2 just cause its a personal fav of mine.
Good call Amanda
Iron Maiden Fear of the Dark
Actually anything by them
LIVE!!
You make me laugh every time. Good stuff my guy!
I gotta say, great reaction as usual my man. I love these videos so much because you can literally play where’s Waldo trying to find a black face in a video like this (I’m pretty sure I saw one dude for like 3 seconds) which is not to say at all that black folks don’t get into music like this but I guess it’s like hanging out with your white friend and they’re like “yo, you heard the new *insert name of prominent black rapper* jam that dropped yesterday? That shit is my shit homeboy!”, my point is I love seeing anyone being exposed to new music that MAYBE culturally isn’t what them and their friends would listen to. Let’s all unite across races and cultures to appreciate good music when we hear it. Again, great video man x
Still waiting for Rage Against the Machine 🤷♂️
Yep yep and yep
Yep, I’m been saying Gojira too
Shaq is going to lose his mind when he listens to Rage. But not Killing in the Name of...that song is terribly basic.
But do Bullets on parade.
everyone do killing in the name of
Yeah killing in the name isn’t the best reaction song.
For more Slipknot, check out Wait And Bleed, Spit It Out, or Left Behind. Wait And Bleed and Left Behind are awesome to ease into the Dlipknot sound, but Spit It Out is nothing but aggressive rapping through 90% percent of it. Lovin’ the reactions bro, you definitely got a fan outta this metalhead!
slipknot were my gateway to metal and I still love them, great reaction
Fun fact (to the best of my recollection).
Slipknot rented this place from an old couple (possibly farmers), and had fans come and trash the place all up for this music video. Of course the damages and everything was covered.
Wish I was a part of it. Just sick af!
Cmon coach!! This is great!! My two sense for reactions is Rage against the Machine - fistful of steel and township rebellion have to be broken down. And System of a Down - Prison Song and Deer Dance. All these songs have crazy bars and messages. Best reaction channel on the planet!!!
