It’s a fun combo. I got one a week ago and my reel gave out while fishing for bluegills and sunfish , but i changed it to a Lews Wally Marshalls and spooled the same line and tons of fun. I caught 3 pound cat by accident on it using trout magnets.
I have the same combo. Not a fan of the reel but love the rod. I got mine for $14.99 at Walmart. I use the forcepts for panfish myself. I have caught many species including 3 lbs bass. 👍👊🎣
@@xXdeathnoteX0x I have a Lews 1000 reel and a Abu Garcia 1000 reel. That I replaced the reel with. I still have it but I dont use it. I spool both the Abu Silver Max and the Lews with 4lbs Vanish floro
What bait would you recommend for small sunfish? I've been fishing with minnow lures and various jigs for the past week with no luck so I think I need to switch to bait.
