That looks like a right bastard of a job!
That ratchet looks mint though, I’ll have to get me one of those 👌🏻
David Bolton it was a bit of a struggle but nowhere near as bad as I was expecting it to be, just awkward. That ratchet is great. Don’t use it anywhere near as much as I should lol
Stupid Bloke Stupid Videos I need one of those ratchets in my life 👌🏻
You can anneal copper gaskets (if they are only copper) by heating them up to cherry red then dropping them in cold water. It softens the gasket up. Can help when re-using.
You can. I made a video showing the process a few years ago,.. but nobody watched it lol

You can do aluminium too. Put soap on it, warm it til the soap goes black then let it cool naturally
Hi from Turkey.👍
Hi mate
I've changed tranny on this exact van, and I dreaded this job more than that. Not anymore, thanks!
It’s fiddly but not as bad as I expected tbh
Genius
Nice one pal good vid
Thanks mate
I have one to do Monday
On the 3.2?
Not sure Is a 3.2 more difficult
Not done a 2.4, but I think there is a bit less room on the 3.2.
Im suffering for same kinda issue just doing the self diagnosis lol , im abit lost as the water is not feeding back to the reservoir threw the top pipe in tank 🤔 ....im going to connect egr cooler pipes together see if i have an issue still ....iv done a sniff test but not picking up combustion fumes any advice please mate
What issue are you having? This was just losing water.
I have the nauseating feeling that I am going to be doing this in the next couple of weeks.
It’s not actually that bad it’s just awkward to get to, especially when using one hand to film it 🤣
I have the same engine but it seems there is more space for you to go there 😅
I think it just seems like that. It was pretty tight to get to tbh 🤣
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos yes I can imagine that’s vidéo effect. But maybe because I have a left driver one?
@@huskiesandlandscapes1172 could have an effect 🤔
Just watchin this........just in case 🤣
There’s another transhitter vid incoming. Be a couple week probably though.
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos shall look forward to it as my Mk7 @bettyourcampervan will be with me for some years to come 🤣🚐👍
Should have joined pipes up and blanked egr valve buddy
Not my van to make that decision
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos fair enough nice video though👍😁
@@stugbroon16 thanks mate 🙃
Hi was it a genuine ford cooler ? Thanks
I can’t remember for sure, but think it was an aftermarket replacement.
That's got to be worth a decent bonus! The kdava who owns this shitter owes you big time! Hahaha!
And must you still owe me for the sticker, I mean “merch” brah 🤣
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos technically your "merch" contravenes the criminal damage act, 1971.
Your lucky I'm not suing you!
What was your symptoms bud? Was it losing lots of water?
Yes mate, it was losing quite a lot.
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos I got the same issue, few idiots said head gasket but I’ve rebuilt a few of the mk7 and head gaskets have been fine. Just seeing options etc, thanks for your help 👍
@@joelinden1579 if it’s mixing water and oil check the oil cooler, another known failure in the Transhitters
