Hey all. To turn off lane assist just hold the button down until it turns off. Will auto turn on every time you restart the car. Also if you hold the cruise button down it will be normal cruise control and not radar assist. Another good trip is if you are in a 80 zone on cruise control and it goes to 100, once the car detects the new speed limit, hold resume up and it will automatically increase to 100. Same goes downwards so if 100 then drops to 80, hold down set and it will drop straight to 80....happy driving :)

Agree I tried to go around a cyclist and it pulled me back in towards them...very dangerous. Would love to turn off perm or have the software updated.

Press the lane assist button on the left-hand side of your steering wheel for 5/10 seconds and it will turn it off.

I have driven over 10,000 kms in my LC300 VX mostly on mostly pot holed B grade roads in Qld. This feature needs to be able to turned off as it is tiring fighting the steering wheel trying to avoid pot holes at 80 kph & higher. My partner now won’t drive the LC300 because of this feature. She had a terrible time towing a large single axle box trailer between Brisbane & Stanthorpe.

My partner and I were driving down the m1 and looked away for a second next minute it almost pulled us into the Kenworth next to us. We now drive around with the hazards on and don't have to worry about lane assist.

Quick question. Don’t know if you’ve had it t my collision control sensors tripped while trying to snatch someone out of a bog on the beach. Is there a way I can reset it?

Read the manual dipstick...button on steering wheel, press and hold to turn off. You need to turn off everytime you start the vehicle

If you have an extreme desire to call people you don't know "dipsticks " then maybe you should get off these sites and turn your attention to your partner and see how they like the verbal abuse.

Just had a car rear-end me yesterday in my brand new LC300 GR when the Auto Break slammed on with a motorbike crossing in front of me. Bike wasn't even that close and I naturally wouldn't have hit the Breaks, the car system hit the Break and red Break light went on and the car behind (who was following too close) hit and damaged my rear bumper.
This, with lane assist is downright dangerous, especially in Africa. Toyota now making things worse
