does the wireless router have to be connected to the nvr via lan cable to get the camera signal to the nvr? I have a wireless camera system that does not have the option to repeat to another camera
Great video. Just did mine and have a couple of notes. For a Zosi system purchased in July 2019 the camera's IP address is 192.168.1.88 (I used IP scanner to get this). Secondly, linking the NVR to the camera was different - using manual edit bought up a page that did not include an entry for the IP address however a reboot of the NVR picked up the camera on wifi and double clicking this automatically added it to the NVR system. Keep up the good work!
Not sure if anyone will reply to this old video, but...I have an 8-channel ISOTECT camera system from 2019 and a 4-channel AKOSO from 2017 that I have not used since 2019. Last year I added 1 of the cameras from the older system to the newer system and all was good. recently however, the 1 camera added to the new started going out on the same time everyday at 6:55 am. Here is what's strange, the camera is outside on the opposite side of the wall from where the box is located. meaning, it is 2ft away. The other cameras are fine, no issues. If I take the camera and bring it indoors, it works fine. Not sure what is causing this issue. It takes hours for the camera to get back online. FYI: router and modem are 3 years old, no issues there. Not sure the root cause. Thank you.
I have the Zosi K9608, same as this one but with 8 cameras. The repeater function doesn't have to be done manually, you can set the NVR/cameras to automatically configure the repeater ad hoc. But even the repeater function isn't good enough. And the extension antenna works in some situations. a 10' extension has a much weaker signal than what comes from the fixed antenna mounted on the camera (20' is even worse and rather pointless). So unless you are getting it closer to the NVR with near perfect line of site it is useless (I have one working well). I was hoping to see you show how a wifi extender can be used. This seems to be the only solution but there is very little info on how to set it up. Overall, this camera system is junk, a time-lapse system, half the time I am looking at a still shot a couple minutes old, the wifi signal is as weak as cell phone wifi in your home. You'll have the same trouble getting a signal from your cameras as you would using your cell phone wifi out in the street. More importantly is that customer service for Zosi is in China and the service is a nightmare. 2 day response time in broken English and after explaining my complex problem their replies read as if they never understood what your problem is. Wireless NEVER again. POE Systems are the only way to go...and only with a company with customer support located in the USA.
Hallo, ich habe das System mit dem hnvr. Ich hab die Kameras mit Wänden dazwischen im Umkreis von 20-30m, leider nur einen WiFi balken...wie kann ich das lösen?
Thanks man great video, I have Cromorc which is a Chinese brand similar to yours but I couldn't find the default ip address to use your method to connect them to my router. Where should I find it and if there is a way to scan for it once I get connected to the camera lan
@@Behfor thanks man that was a great help. All your videos are informative and helpful I only wish I did find your videos earlier. Best of luck brother.
Hi ... i can see from your videos that protocol can be either n1 o onvif... i wonder if any onvif camera cn be used setting this protocol in the nvr to onvif...is it ok?
Hi, The NVR has the option to choose ONVIF, so I can assume it should be possible to use an ONVIF camera otherwise what would be the point of having that option available right?!! But since I have not tried that myself unfortunately I cannot be 100% sure. Maybe if you ask the Zosi support team they might have a better answer for that! Sorry that I can't be much of help here!
Hello I have one question the camera has microphone but it’s doesn’t work can you explain me why. I want to open it but I can’t I’m connect with my phone not from monitor thanks!
This is a fantastic video! Thank you for sharing! When using the wireless router to extend the range configuration, if a person messes up the settings in the cameras, can they be reset back to default so they would work as they did out of the box? Also, I've got two WAPs...I'm assuming the method of using the WAPs would be the same, as long as they are all on the same network...right? Thanks for your time!
Thank you so much for your comment and questions. In case the settings are messed up, you can connect the camera directly with an ethernet cable to the NVR and in the Video Manage page click Refresh so the NVR can find the connected camera and then click Match Code to pair it with NVR again the same way it was before. Thanks
Hi, I have a very similar system and have found your videos to be very helpful, thank you. I am currently experiencing the problem where the house is too big and I cannot get two cameras within the NVR wireless range. Before I purchase the antenna extenders, I'd like to try to relay the signal from camera 2 to camera 1, as in your video. However, I am unable to as my default admin and password (which I have not changed) are not working - do you have any tips on what I could do to fix this problem?
I have what appears to be the same wireless system but the Zosi software does not have an option to use camera as a repeater. If you read this could you give me the version of the Zosi software you are using?
Hello! Can I use a wired camera (connected to NVR with ethernet cable) as a repeater for a farther wireles camera? The wired camera hasn't the "+" button in the repeater option like wireless ones.
I have ANNKE system and I would like to match Cameras on 2nd floor WIFI to 1st floor where my NVR is. Is this possible? I chanched IP on cameras, but it works only, if NVR and cameras are on the same WIFI. I have pretty big house and I bought two IPC routers too. Thank you for your answer.Nice video, thank you for sharing the knowledge!
Great video. This might just fix the issues I am having. Started following the directions in the video, went to the browser and put in the IP address and it doesn't work? Just says taking longer to connect to the server. Any ideas?
Hi, It is possible that your camera's IP address is different from the one in the video! If you don't know the IP address this video can help you find it ua-cam.com/video/3VAlvtFWOwE/v-deo.html Good luck!
Hi, whenever I want to repeat a signal off camera 1 with big reception (which is only about 6feet away from NVR), it always says -this camera cannot be used, as if it is blocked from being a repeater? why would this be?
Hi, Great video however I have tried to follow it to link two of my cameras onto my WIFI router due to poor signal but can't change camera IP address. My system is Floureon , can you help please?
Fantastic video. I have 8 960P IP Cams with the K9608-W NVR and Google Wifi - Mesh Wi-Fi Routers and I put all of my Cams on the mesh network. I am trying to set up my system with a Windows based NVR so I can auto backup my recordings to my Google Dirve. I tried ISpy but I cannot get ISpy to recognize my streams. Any chance you can do a video that shows how to do this?
I have the Zosi 4PCS and one of my cameras have gone out. I moved another camera to that location and made sure the electric cord was working which it was. My question is where can I find a replacement camera that will work with my NVR? Every camera I see is 1080 and does not show it to work on my model. Information on my NVR - Model# ZG23213M S/N POJA1700450050 Any help would be great. Thanks!
Excellent very educational video. I have a Zosi system with NVR H265 which has 2 USB outputs, my question is: can I put an external antenna through a USB port? Thank you
thanks for the info but my NVR does not show anymore video manage. We just recently bought another NVR with an actual hard drive from Zosi and the cameras we have look exactly like yours. I'm trying to figure this out for my parents, our old NVR menu looks exactly likes yours but it doesn't have a hdd which is why we got a new one.
Great Video. Got one question. I connected 1 camera with no issues but when I went to connect the second in the way you mentioned when I go to 192.168.1.168 to sign on to the camera I get an error message stating logon failed. My system is OOSSXX which it appears is made by Zosi. Do you have any suggestion as to why I now get an error message when trying to sign on to the second camera?
When do you get the error message? Are you able to go to the login page and enter the username and then you get the error message or you cannot go to the login page in the first place? Thanks
I have 8 960P IP cameras and connecting to the router resolved my issues with the last 3. Thank you. I am stuggling with motion alerts. No matter what I set the sensitivity to I get hundreds of false alerts a day. Do you have any idea what else I can try? I have set the sensitivity to 1 and 99 with no improvement. Also constrain the detection area to a small area.
You have already tried changing the sensitivity and changing the detection area and that's all I could have suggested. I personally use motion alerts for one of the cameras and only for a few hours a day. There were a few false alerts so far but nothing like what your experienced! Make sure the NVR's firmware is up-to-date, maybe it was an issue they fixed in the new firmware! Unfortunately that's all I can think of.
I have a similar system as on your video with 4 cameras and the NVR detects only one camera. When I replace that camera with any of the other , one at the time, the NVR don't detect any one of them. Any idea or recomendation will be appricciated. Thank You Joe A.
If this issue only happens when using wireless, then I think you should pair the cameras with the NVR again! Check out this link please: support.zositech.com/hc/en-us/articles/232065607-Add-the-IP-camera-to-the-NVR-by-matching-code-
With cable the addresses are 192.168.1.xx (the one camera that works is 172.20.14.30) When disconnecting cable and refreshing, the camera at the bottom half of the "Video Mange" disappear (no video source) and no refreshment will help
Unfortunately I don't have concrete walls here to give you a definite answer, but one of my cameras is around 20 m from the NVR with drywall in between and works fine. The range would also depend on many other factors such as interference, noise and etc in the environment. But you can always make use of the repeater functionality of the cameras if you need to.
I've seen that sometimes, but from what I remember it wasn't a serious error, I think it was because maybe one or more of the cameras were not connected to the NVR. Make sure all of them are connected when you go to the repeater and if you still see this error, close the error message and see if you can configure the repeater or not. From what I remember I could still configure the repeater even when this error showed up! I could be wrong though!
Thank you for your reply, no it doesn't allow to configure the repeater if i close the error message also, it just have some red lines for the camera and keeps giving the same error on pressing the refresh button.
Can the DVR be managed locally through a browser without the cloud id? I mean, not only stream the feeds but also access all the settings as if you had a mouse and monitor connected to it. Thanks!
Would it be possible to connect the camera to a wireless extender so that the wireless extender relays back to the router and then router to nvr. If so would the same steps apply? The extender is on the same network as the router
As long the they are all on the same network and the NVR is able to reach the camera which is connected to the repeater it should work fine and the steps would be the same as the ones in this video. Thanks
Chris C I wasn't able to extend with a Wi-Fi extender. It might be possible but I couldn't figure it out. However, I was able to configure the repeater system so that all cameras could connect with good to great connection. This took some time testing out different repeater options but it works (on a 4000sqft house with cameras on all sides and with an nvr that is not central). Try and use the cameras that are closest to the Wi-Fi router/ best connection as your main hub and then try repeating through those. I would suggest moving your nvr to a central location where all cameras can receive some signal (if you have already installed them outside your house). But still you'll need to have some connection to each camera in order for the repeater system to work. Hope that helps bud
Hi Bhefor Thanks a lot. It helped. In my case ip was 192.168.1.115 as company was roborix. I used advance ip scanner to search the IP. after that console was same as yours. Thanks a Ton.
Can NVR and one or two of the cameras using two different network? There are two separate units in my house. I put two cameras in my unit and want to put the other two on my sister's. Can the cameras on her unit use her network? Since it is closer to her Wifi. If not, can I connect the cameras direct with cable and not using wifi?
Let me answer your last question first! Yes you ca connect the cameras with cable, the Part 4 of the video talks about that: ua-cam.com/video/TekAiunG4kI/v-deo.html Now to answer your first question I should say the NVR should be connected to the same network that the cameras are connected to, so it can access them. You said there are 2 units in your house, do you mean 2 separate NVR? If there are 2 different NVRs then you can connect one to your network and one to your sister's network and basically follow this video for each system. If there is one NVR and 2 different networks then the NVR can be connected to one of them so basically it can only access the cameras that are connected to the same network!
Hi, really good video, thank you. I connected the camera on same router, but I have a problem: I have one router on the first floor and one on the second floor. I connected the NVR to the first router down and I would like to connect the cameras to the second router wifi up, but it doesn't work. How can I do that? Thank you!
Dear Behfor, Thanks again for your prompt reply. Yes... I connected the camera directly with LAN cable to Laptop. I am using the latest Version of wireshark(2.6.4). i can not receiving the LAN IP from camera through test with ARP order in wireshark. Did you think that my installed G data antivirus can affect the process? I captured a screenshot from the result of wireshark capture. It will be great if you allow me to email to you this capture. Thanks again for your help. Regards,
One question. Can the Wi-Fi signal from NVR to camera be extended using a simple extender, say Tenda A9. Do we know SSID and PASS network NVR? Has anyone tried?
Unfortunately I haven't tried it but you can see the NVR's WiFi Information under System Setup -> Network Setup -> WiFi Setup and give it a try and see if it works or not! Good Luck!
Hi, I got a wrong static IP address imputed, and now I can’t access the camera again, how do I reset this wireless camera so that I can access the settings on the web, to input the correct ip settings?
If you changed the camera's Local (LAN) IP address, then you should use the new IP address in your browser to connect, also you should assign an IP address to your computer which is on the same network as the camera. For example if the camera's LAN IP address is 192.168.2.168 [255.255.255.0] now you can use 192.168.2.10 [255.255.255.0] on the computer.
The computer and the camera need to be on the same subnet in order to be able to communicate with each other. If the camera's ip is 192.168.1.168 then the computer need to be 192.168.1.1-254 or if the camera is 192.168.2.168 computer should be 192.168.2.1-254. not sure why you need to access the camera from your computer after you've set it up!
There is no exact number because each environment is different ( obstacles, interference etc). The wireless range of the NVR should probably be more or less the same as the wireless range of a 2.4 GHz wireless router used in the same environment with the same wireless configuration. In my house for example the maximum practical range of the NVR is around 20 m.
@@Behfor > When you say your getting 20m, is that 20m radius from the NVR or Diametric range (which means the max distance from NVR to any camera can only be about 10m). But if its radius, then it will essentially cover 40m diameter circle of coverage. Can you plz explain. Or in other words whats the furthest distance your getting from the NVR to any one camera if you drew a line between them thru your building.
Hi my nvr is far from my router, I use the extender and plug it from the nvr it is working when I'm connected to the wifi inside the house, but when using other connection like from work I cannot view it. Can you help me? Thanks in advance
Unfortunately I don't know that, but you can use an IP scanner software to find it or use a packet capture like this video: ua-cam.com/video/3VAlvtFWOwE/v-deo.html
Unfortunately I wouldn't know that because I never had a Chromebook! Maybe google would be helpful! You'll just need to set a static IP address to the LAN interface of the computer (the same as in the video) I'm just not sure how this can be done in Chromebook! Sorry!
Thank you for your reply. I'll just use an old windows laptop. I've got an Annke wireless system that is exactly the same as the Zosi, however I cant work out the default ip address of the cameras! :(
one way to find that is to connect the camera directly to the nvr and go to the video manage menu and hit the search button on the top of the page, it should find the camera and show its IP address.
Hello, unfortunately I couldn't find any way to turn that feature off from the NVR, but I'll try to connect directly to one of the cameras later today and see if that is a possibility or not and will let you know. Thanks!
Are you trying to use the camera from inside a window and getting a lot of IR reflection ? What I do is cut some electrical tape so it fits tightly over the IR illuminators, works for me but you may need an outside source for the illumination. good luck.
Man, thank you. Did not bought yet, but i was checking this cameras. And did not know about bridge mode, neither connection to Wifi router. This sellers are still not so good with describing their products (Aliexpress)... Are you satisfied with quality of picture and range of cameras? About how much space does it take on disk when recording? (your number of cameras and quality in random time period). Thanks!
Thanks for the question! Overall I am satisfied with the whole thing but I can tell you that the major disappointment of all so far has been the APP which is not the most reliable Camera monitoring APP! Other than that I think what you get is a good value for money. Mine has 1 TB HDD and right now I have only 2 cameras installed and active for a couple of months and I'm using motion detection recording and the HDD is not full yet! I think the storage is enough but the good thing is that in case at some point you feel it is not enough you have the option to install a higher capacity HDD too! As far as the range and quality I should say that I'm using one of the cameras as a repeater for the other one otherwise the second one would not have been able to connect. The range is almost the same as the range of a normal 2.4 GHz wireless router, if you have a large house you might end up using one or 2 as a repeater to make sure they are connected with strong signal. If the signal is good then the quality is good too, so they really depend on each other I guess :-) It is 720 P which I believe is acceptable for a security camera, of course there are higher resolution cameras out there but for regular household security camera 720P should be fine. I also have tested Onwote security cameras which are very similar to this Zosi but the resolution is a bit higher (960P) ua-cam.com/video/sa6Y8U4h29Q/v-deo.html Hope this was helpful. Thanks!
Yes, I decided to take ZOSI 960P WiFi NVR set for neigbour (special deal on Aliex. EU warehouse), and will probably go for 8 cameras (max. 6 planned at the moment). If Wifi will not work ok, will try with remote antenna, then bridge (repeater) mode and last resort is LAN cable with "wannabe PoE" connectors connected to router NVR. Will try to learn some more before buying a set for myself ;) They would go for 1080P, but it isn't currently available from EU. I think 960P should suffice. Thank you again, I subscribed and will try to give more feedback when cameras are received :)
Hi I have problem to connect router tenda with 4 antena with nvr.. When I setup repeat mod it work fine with home wifi but on nvr i dont have option repeat.. It Just say in user manual that if connect repeater clik on code mach.. But its not working. Is it ok to home router connect with lan tenda router outside then TRY to change ip adress of camera.. Sory for bad english..
yeah this doesn't work. When I try to make camera 1 an extender for camera 4 (offline) it says this one cannot be used. It's offline because it won't connect to the NVR. The camera is on though
Hi, unfortunately they do not support direct PoE, However you should be able to use passive PoE injector/ splitter, Something like this: ua-cam.com/video/NxK5zdp3DlY/v-deo.html
Dear Behfor, Thanks for your great videos. I want to extend my signal via using my internet Router. (as you mentioned in this video) but I can not log in to my camera. DVR says my camera IP as 172.20.14.98 I can access my DVR under 192.168.1.105, but no access to my camera under 172.20.14.98, !! I saw already your video regarding capture through wireshark as well, wireshark gave me the same IP address as 172.20.14.98 It will be great if you can help me, Regards
Hi, thanks for the question. If the DVR is showing 172.20.14.98 for the camera then it should be the camera's wireless IP address not the LAN one (wired)! DVR uses that IP address to communicate with the camera through the wireless network, but when you connect a computer directly to the camera with an Ethernet cable you should use the camera's LAN IP address to connect. I'm not sure why you got the same IP address in the wireshark! Did you connect your computer directly to the camera using a LAN cable when you took the packet capture? Please also make sure the computer's wireless network is disabled during the test.
You can choose whether to assign a static or automatic IP address to the NVR! The cameras though automatically receive their IP addresses from the NVR (this is the default behavior)
I'm not sure about your camera system, but if it is similar to the Zosi I tested here, you should be able to connect 4 camera through the wireless router, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't! You just need to give them proper ip addresses and connect them to your network and then connect the NVR to them!
Hi Keshab ! Im planning to buy Roborix in the next few days. Can you give me your feedback how its working out for you ? Is it good in reach from indoors ? Through how many walls is its wifi able to penetrate ? Thanks
The one that I have allows it, but I don't personally recommend it because repeaters in general affect and degrade the wifi quality (the only advantage is increasing the range) and using 2 or more repeaters back to back is not recommended.

Thanks so much for taking the time to make this series! I just ordered the 8 camera 960p version
Thank you so much for watching! I'm glad you liked them and hope you enjoy your security camera system :-)
Hallo, ich habe das System mit dem hnvr. Ich hab die Kameras mit Wänden dazwischen im Umkreis von 20-30m, leider nur einen WiFi balken...wie kann ich das lösen?

@@Behfor thanks man that was a great help. All your videos are informative and helpful I only wish I did find your videos earlier. Best of luck brother.

You're very welcome! I'm glad this was useful for you 😀👍
Hi ... i can see from your videos that protocol can be either n1 o onvif... i wonder if any onvif camera cn be used setting this protocol in the nvr to onvif...is it ok?
Hi, The NVR has the option to choose ONVIF, so I can assume it should be possible to use an ONVIF camera otherwise what would be the point of having that option available right?!! But since I have not tried that myself unfortunately I cannot be 100% sure. Maybe if you ask the Zosi support team they might have a better answer for that! Sorry that I can't be much of help here!

Hello I have one question the camera has microphone but it’s doesn’t work can you explain me why.
I want to open it but I can’t I’m connect with my phone not from monitor thanks!
Hi, these cameras in this video do not have microphones!
Behfor can I buy someone you have something to suggest me? Thank you again
Thanks
As for the second question, you are absolutely right. As long the they are on the network it should work fine. Thanks!
I have a sozi 8 cámaras system bad on the screen don’t show video management, how can configure the repeater
Sure, H/W version: 2.1.0

Thank you for your answer.Nice video, thank you for sharing the knowledge!
thats awesome, so thats means that any ip camera can be configured to any nvr as long as you can configure the ip address?
Great video. This might just fix the issues I am having. Started following the directions in the video, went to the browser and put in the IP address and it doesn't work? Just says taking longer to connect to the server. Any ideas?

Hi, whenever I want to repeat a signal off camera 1 with big reception (which is only about 6feet away from NVR), it always says -this camera cannot be used, as if it is blocked from being a repeater? why would this be?

Excellent very educational video. I have a Zosi system with NVR H265 which has 2 USB outputs, my question is: can I put an external antenna through a USB port? Thank you
Hi.. this camera and nvr support alarm and motion detection with push notification through smart phone?
It has the option, I'm actually using motion detection recording myself but I haven't tried the app push notification option yet. Thanks
thanks for the info but my NVR does not show anymore video manage. We just recently bought another NVR with an actual hard drive from Zosi and the cameras we have look exactly like yours. I'm trying to figure this out for my parents, our old NVR menu looks exactly likes yours but it doesn't have a hdd which is why we got a new one.
Are those camera interchargable on different nvr without internet to repair cameras
If the other NVR is the same model, it should be fine. You'll just need to pair the cameras with the new NVR first
Hey there! Can I try this configuration using a repeater? or it has to be directly to the main wireless router?
Our ZOSI wireless system shows three of our 4 cameras are hibernating. What does this mean?
Thank You
Joe A.
Forgot to mention that all camera worked fine when connected with cable
If this issue only happens when using wireless, then I think you should pair the cameras with the NVR again!
Check out this link please: support.zositech.com/hc/en-us/articles/232065607-Add-the-IP-camera-to-the-NVR-by-matching-code-
Thank you for your quick response.
I am going to try again and again and let you know
With cable the addresses are 192.168.1.xx (the one camera that works is 172.20.14.30)
When disconnecting cable and refreshing, the camera at the bottom half of the "Video Mange" disappear (no video source) and no refreshment will help
Is it possible to manually program the cameras to 172.20.14.xx and would it work?
Indoors between concrete walls can connect from
Nvr to ip camera within 20meters?
Unfortunately I don't have concrete walls here to give you a definite answer, but one of my cameras is around 20 m from the NVR with drywall in between and works fine. The range would also depend on many other factors such as interference, noise and etc in the environment. But you can always make use of the repeater functionality of the cameras if you need to.
NVR giving an error information of repeater is incomplete when trying to access repeater function any solution?
Thanks!
Hi: repeater mode: I was trying to connect cam 2 to cam 1 using repeater but cam 1 is greyed out on the menu. Are you able to offer any advise. Thanks
Thanks
Behfor Thanks Behfor! I'll give it a try and report back if it works
Good luck! :-)
Were you able to connect via WiFi extender? If so, what steps did you follow? Thank you!
Hi Bhefor
Thanks a lot. It helped. In my case ip was 192.168.1.115 as company was roborix. I used advance ip scanner to search the IP. after that console was same as yours.
Thanks a Ton.
Hi Abhishek! Thanks for letting me know! I'm glad this was helpful :-)
Yes you ca connect the cameras with cable, the Part 4 of the video talks about that: ua-cam.com/video/TekAiunG4kI/v-deo.html
Now to answer your first question I should say the NVR should be connected to the same network that the cameras are connected to, so it can access them.
@@Behfor Thank you so much for you quick respond.
Hi, can i connect 1 camera with the cable and use it as an extender as well to connect camera 2.
Hi Man, if I use a camera like repeater this camera (repeater) can recorder too or not?
Hi, of course it can! The repeater camera would function as a camera and also extends the wireless range for the other cameras. Thanks.
Hi, really good video, thank you. I connected the camera on same router, but I have a problem: I have one router on the first floor and one on the second floor. I connected the NVR to the first router down and I would like to connect the cameras to the second router wifi up, but it doesn't work. How can I do that? Thank you!
Dear Behfor,
Thanks again for your prompt reply.
Regards,
I'm confused, how are you still using .168 to connect if you changed the cam to .10???
That .10 is the IP address I gave to the computer not the camera!!
I used the big antenna on the NVR box, going out a window.
Good Luck!
@@Behfor Thank you for answer. I tried and report.
Hi, I got a wrong static IP address imputed, and now I can’t access the camera again, how do I reset this wireless camera so that I can access the settings on the web, to input the correct ip settings?
Bravo pizza contest winner doodles will have to be a write off just a heck of a good cpu intell advisor thx...
How come I can't connect to the camera through the browser after changing the settings?
If you changed the camera's Local (LAN) IP address, then you should use the new IP address in your browser to connect, also you should assign an IP address to your computer which is on the same network as the camera. For example if the camera's LAN IP address is 192.168.2.168 [255.255.255.0] now you can use 192.168.2.10 [255.255.255.0] on the computer.
@@Behfor what about when setting up new cameras...do I have to change back to the original IP address for my computer?
The computer and the camera need to be on the same subnet in order to be able to communicate with each other. If the camera's ip is 192.168.1.168 then the computer need to be 192.168.1.1-254 or if the camera is 192.168.2.168 computer should be 192.168.2.1-254. not sure why you need to access the camera from your computer after you've set it up!
What should be the distance between cameras and NVR?
There is no exact number because each environment is different ( obstacles, interference etc). The wireless range of the NVR should probably be more or less the same as the wireless range of a 2.4 GHz wireless router used in the same environment with the same wireless configuration. In my house for example the maximum practical range of the NVR is around 20 m.
Behfor Thanks..
You're very welcome!
Thanks in advance
hello , sorry for my english i'm french
i look your video but when i put 192.168.1.168 in chrome , chrome don't open anything
Hello, Is you camera Zosi? Maybe your camera's IP address is different!
What is the local IP Address for the IP Camera MISECU?
Unfortunately I don't know that, but you can use an IP scanner software to find it or use a packet capture like this video: ua-cam.com/video/3VAlvtFWOwE/v-deo.html
Any idea how to do the second method using a Chormebook ?
Thank you very much. I'll give this a go! ... Great videos as well.
Is there any way to connect a wireless repeater to the NVR ?
Dear Behfor,
can I ask you how can i turn off the infrared option of one of my 4 cameras, is there any software solution?(system= Zosi 720P)
Regards,
Hello, unfortunately I couldn't find any way to turn that feature off from the NVR, but I'll try to connect directly to one of the cameras later today and see if that is a possibility or not and will let you know. Thanks!
Are you trying to use the camera from inside a window and getting a lot of IR reflection ? What I do is cut some electrical tape so it fits tightly over the IR illuminators, works for me but you may need an outside source for the illumination. good luck.
some of the newer ones have a default address in the 172.x.x.x range.
Will try to learn some more before buying a set for myself ;)
They would go for 1080P, but it isn't currently available from EU. I think 960P should suffice.
Thank you again, I subscribed and will try to give more feedback when cameras are received :)
Thank you so much :-)
Hi. I have problem. When I change IP of camera 1 it change also on other cameras. How can I fix that? I Am extending by wifi signal...

Dear Behfor,
Thanks for your great videos.
I want to extend my signal via using my internet Router. (as you mentioned in this video) but I can not log in to my camera. DVR says my camera IP as 172.20.14.98
I can access my DVR under 192.168.1.105, but no access to my camera under 172.20.14.98, !!
I saw already your video regarding capture through wireshark as well, wireshark gave me the same IP address as 172.20.14.98
It will be great if you can help me, Regards
Hi, thanks for the question. If the DVR is showing 172.20.14.98 for the camera then it should be the camera's wireless IP address not the LAN one (wired)! DVR uses that IP address to communicate with the camera through the wireless network, but when you connect a computer directly to the camera with an Ethernet cable you should use the camera's LAN IP address to connect. I'm not sure why you got the same IP address in the wireshark! Did you connect your computer directly to the camera using a LAN cable when you took the packet capture? Please also make sure the computer's wireless network is disabled during the test.

Hello! How do I reset a camera. Thank you very much.
Can i connect more camera through wireless router?
DHCP of nvr is enable or disable?
Not to this nvr because it is a 4-channel nvr which allows maximum 4 cameras!
You can choose whether to assign a static or automatic IP address to the NVR! The cameras though automatically receive their IP addresses from the NVR (this is the default behavior)
I have roborix 8 channel wireless cctv camera . Can I connect 4 cctv camera through wireless router?
I'm not sure about your camera system, but if it is similar to the Zosi I tested here, you should be able to connect 4 camera through the wireless router, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't! You just need to give them proper ip addresses and connect them to your network and then connect the NVR to them!

Thank you so much for this video it has solved my long lasting problem in a matter of minutes.
You're welcome! Glad it was useful 🙂👍
can you go three cameras far on the repeating mode
The one that I have allows it, but I don't personally recommend it because repeaters in general affect and degrade the wifi quality (the only advantage is increasing the range) and using 2 or more repeaters back to back is not recommended.
@@Behfor thanks for reply. i have a repreater but it does not seem to do much maybe to cheap.but i am not extending the wifi just the range
