The Drum Master- Drumming has the power to unite people, no matter how varied their language or cultural background might be. On a trek through Africa, Neil Peart had a singular experience that proved just that. "I was in Gambia, walking through a small village, and I heard the sound of a drum. So of course I was curious! I looked into a compound and I could hear the drumming coming from a curtained room. I walked up to a woman doing laundry in front of the room. She could see my interest in the sound, so she waved me to go in. Inside I found a young, white missionary from a nearby Catholic school. Sitting across from him was the commanding presence of the local drum master. He was attempting to show the missionary how to play any kind of beat. The missionary was trying as hard as he could, but he wasn't having a lot of success." After a time the drum master, frustrated by the missionary's lack of ability, noticed the other man who had come into the room. The master had no idea who this person was, but he thought to himself, "Why not see if he can play?" According to Peart, what happened next was fascinating. "The drum master gestured to me to try and play a rhythm. So we began playing together, and he started smiling because he could tell I had a rhythm - maybe not his rhythm, but a rhythm of some kind. We were playing and playing, building the intensity, and little kids started coming in, laughing at the white man playing drums. Then a few women came into the room, and everybody began dancing to our beat! The master and I even started trading fours. It wasn't a spoken thing, but he could tell that I would lay out and listen to what he was doing for a certain amount of time, and then he would do the same. It was just a magical moment." When they finished, a confused and startled missionary ran up to Peart and asked, "How can you do that?" Chuckling to himself, Neil politely responded, "I'm in the business."
Neil pearl is one of my favorite drummers of all time, but little known fact he also writes the lyrics to almost all of rush`s songs. My favorite musical line ever "one likes to believe in the freedom of music, but glittering prizes and endless compromises shatter the illusion of integrity." He plays with real freedom and writes like a true poet philosopher. R.I.P Neil Peart you will always be my hero and inspiration ❤
And that is why he is known as the Professor. RIP Neil. He taught himself to play all four limbs individually. He was a musical genius in his drumming skills and lyrics. Thanks. Great reaction.
He was indeed great, but by no means self taught. Neil himself talks about his first drum teacher in his books and interviews and even went to study with a master teacher in the time between the recording of the Counterparts and Test for Echo albums in the 90s. He was always trying to get better and more musical. A true student with a passion for seeking mastery.
low rider Well yeah, of course! No one gets that good at anything without years of very hard and work and dedication to their craft. The quality of my life was enriched by his thoughtful words and his amazing music. What an incredible musician and human.
Extra points if you know what YYZ stands for and double extra points if you know the significance of the intro to the song. (Who's line is it anyway point system)
Neil Peart was a baaaaaaaaad man behind the drum set...what's crazy is not only did he write the music for Rush, he wrote all the lyrics as well....✌🏻🇺🇸
Neil's a drummer's drummer... One of the best in the world. Rest in peace Neil... You will be missed. Thanks for showing that and for putting a smile on my face, you are funny! keep up the good work!
He's the greatest percussionist/drummer to have ever walked this planet...and I agree with the comment above this one, the torch has been passed to the drummer from Tool, that dude is a savage....
The natural talent & technical ability this man had is unbelievable 🥁🔥 RIP to “The Professor” ♥️ You are missed by all ♥️ I don’t wanna be the grammar person everyone hates but his last name is pronounced PierT like a pier on a lake 😉 Fun fact! His drum kit cost like $70,000! Sorry to keep adding stuff but damn he’s great!! The man was 51 yo when this was recorded!!
And there it is. Shows exactly why his peers and fans put him at the top. I've been lucky enough to see him 3 times live in concert. It's just amazing to witness his ability. A true legend. RIP Neil, you will be missed.

**STORY TIME** This happened in the city of Los Angeles. My friend was raised in his father's music shop. As a result he was proficient in the piano, lead guitar, bass guitar, and saxophone (and the flute, but he won't admit it). He also spent a lot of time at musical instrument trade shows and trade fairs. At one such event, he came across a full stage setup, just waiting to be played. Someone had picked up the bass guitar, and was having fun jamming. My friend picked up the lead guitar, followed the bassist's lead, and they jammed for a few minutes. Eventually, a drummer sat down and started to play behind them. They had a blast. Just riffing off one another for a good 10 minutes, then they started inviting each other to do a solo. My buddy killed it, the crowd had shown up right when he started, it was perfect. Lots of smiles, lots of applause. At some point, the bassist and my friend step back and look at the drummer. He starts his solo. My buddy forgets to keep playing, just slack-jawed staring at this guy. He's just dominating this random drum set-up, designed to be a showcase. Everyone cheers. My Friend: "Wow man. You're pretty good. You should totally be in a band, man" Drummer: "Hey thanks! That's really nice of you." My Friend: "No seriously!" Drummer: "Hey, thanks again. But, I actually am in a band." My Friend: "No shit?! Anyone I might have heard of?" Drummer: "Dunno, you ever heard of "Rush"? Moral of the story: my friend told Neil Peart that he was "pretty good" and should "totally be in a band." No. We will never let him forget it.
Beautiful story! I have one myself, although it's not the same, it's somewhat interesting, nonetheless. I grew up in Long Beach, California. And I attended many shows at Long Beach Arena, and one of them was Iron Maiden. Yeah, the one they taped live. Yeah, I know, the place held almost 15,000 people, and about 100,000 said they were there. Like Woodstock, like the US Festival (I was there, too) I get it. But _was_ there. Anyway, a few years later, I found myself in South Florida, near Ft. Lauderdale; Coral Springs was the place I lived at the time of this story. I couch surfed at my girlfriend's parent's condo. Her parents were awesome people. Her brother was the drummer for a local rock band, a band that got signed to Atlantic, but fizzled out an album later. And that seemingly uninteresting part of the story is the part that matters because of what I'm about to tell you below these words. So, one early morning, after a long night of getting hammered because I found out my mother had died a day earlier, I hear a knock at the door. And of course, being hungover, I ignored it at first... until it got louder. So, I dragged my soiled carcass off the couch, staggered over to the door, opened it, and there stood a short dude with long hair and a British accent, and he asked, "Yes, I'm sorry it's so early, but is [REDACTED] up yet?" Now, my brain was _beyond_ fuzzy at that time; I could barely make this guy out, but I picked up on his accent. So, I said to him, "Um, maybe, let me check... come on in and chill on the couch." Of course, I had to tidy it up a bit, as there were sheets there. I then went over to [REDACTED]'s door and knocked and said, "Hey dude, someone is here for you!" I barely heard a sound after I did that, so I knocked harder. And that's when the door opened, and [REDACTED] stuck his head out and told me to tell his friend to wait and that he had to get into the shower. So, I walked back over and told this guy what I was told and headed for the kitchen to make a pot of coffee. I then asked this dude, "Hey, do you want a cup of coffee?" and he said, "Oh, no, I'm fine mate. I had some tea earlier before arriving here." Again, I was still in a heavy fog from getting hammered the night before, and never once thought of asking this guy who his name was. So, as I made the coffee, I asked this guy, "So, do you play in a band? Is that how you know [REDACTED]?" and his response was, "Yeah, sure... have you ever heard of a little band called 'Iron Maiden'?" And, STILL not getting it, I said, "Uh, yeah, they're only one of my favorite bands! I was _at_ Long Beach when they recorded 'Live After Death'!?" And that's when this dude said, "Well then, my name is Nicko... maybe you've heard of me?" I immediately dropped what I was doing and looked over, and it dawned on me that yes, I was a hungover fool, and Nicko McBrain was sitting in the same fifty feet as me at the same time. I then said, "Dude! I'm SO SORRY! I can't believe I didn't recognize you! What in the fu(k are you doing here?!" and his reply was, "I'm going golfing with [REDACTED], that's why I'm here." I don't know what screwed my head up more: the fact that I didn't recognize Nicko McBrain or THAT HE GOLFED! At that time, I was only 21 years old. I didn't understand how life worked. I couldn't wrap my head around the fact that a heavy metal musician would want to golf. Yeah, that was before Alice Cooper said he liked to golf, so, YEAH! Anyway, Nicko was a cool dude. He autographed my Number of the Beast T-shirt, that I would eventually lose in a drunken stupor while visiting New Orleans... but that's another story altogether.
I've never seen anyone play drums like that wow. I was a teen in early 80s when rush was popular I've heard rush. never saw this drum solo. wow is all I can say
That is a Mallet KAT (sometimes called a MIDI marimba). It’s a MIDI keyboard for percussionists. It’s laid out like a xylophone/vibraphone/glockenspiel/marimba (all essentially the same, just different tonal qualities). He can use it to trigger any synthesized or sampled sound he wants. He also has trigger pads and pedals placed strategically throughout the kit. He uses them to trigger the brass stabs and the final big-band sequence at the end.
James Kirschling, it’s either the KAT or one of the other triggers he has spread around his kit. Besides his full Roland V-Drum back kit, he’s got two or three trigger pads and a couple of trigger pedals. He’s insanely busy during a song. He even triggers synth sounds in some songs. The pre-chorus organ hits in Roll The Bones are triggered by Neil live.
Um... sir, I believe that you are wrong. Neil's playing that thing they gave us as a little kid. You know that thing that makes that "ba-doo-doo-doo doo-doo-doo" sound.
@@craigc1463 - I really wasn't into the Hip as much but it's true that there's a lot of talent here in music, comedy and all kinds of entertainment. A lot of people just assume many are Americans. Why don't you suggest some for #MrVideo? It took FOREVER for Rush to get inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame! Some of the other people inducted were jokes!
Neil Peart the one and only drum legend!!! He touched so many lives just through his drum talant!!! This was one of his best solos ever in my opinion!!! RIP PROFESSOR
Gotta love the Professor! I'll never forget the first time I saw Rush and Neil's amazing solo. I still have my Tshirt. He threw a drumstick up so high in 1981 that in 1991, when he was in the same place, it came down, and he caught it. RIP Professor!
Neil Peart dies in Jan 2020 and the world turns upside down. Notice how his electronic rhythms mimic the communicating with aliens from the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind? Maybe Neil has been in incommunicado all along while saying, "I'm coming home folks!"
I was very lucky to see Rush live. I saw them about 6 times since the early 80's through 2014. Every show was great but always better than the last. Sad to say those days are gone forever. Rip Neil
Simply the best there ever was on Drums. A tear in my eye, knowing that we will never see him play again. RIP Neil Peart, greatest percussionist of all time.
Thank you Mr. Video for reviewing Neil Peart's solo. I saw him perform with Rush a few years ago and he is a drummer like no other. Now that you reviewed Neil (RIP), you must go on a Rush review medley: Subdivisions, Early Distant Warning, Mission, Camera Eye, Turn the Page, Big Money, Ghost of a Chance, Manhattan Project, Bravado, Spirit of radio, Show dont tell, and so many more. He wrote many of Rush's lyrics. I've had many favorite great drummers like Jeff Porcaro from Toto, Stewart Copeland from The Police, Steve Smith from Journey and Bob Siebenberg from Supertramp, but no one compares to the GOAT Neil Peart. Brother your reactions have me rolling. You are the best! I walked by Neil 6 years ago and my face just swoll up from his backhand...lol🤣
It's funny, everyone says how can Neil drum this insanely for this long and not get tired?? It is remarkable, even more remarkable is that this solo is during a full concert!!! The man was way beyond amazing!!! RIP Neil Peart!!!!👌👍❤✌😎
My 10 year old grandson is a drummer. He's been drumming 5 years now. He is always in true awe when I watch Neil Peart drum solos! Lol! This is my favorite drum solo video by him! The BEST!!
i don't think most people realize the type of physical and mental conditioning that is required for professional musicians. They are playing shows almost every night on tour, sleeping on buses and in hotels, and they have to bring fresh new energy for 2 hours every night (sometimes 3 hours if they have a large song catalog), after hours of rehearsals... drumming, strumming, singing, shouting, dancing, jumping, running, screaming... all while capturing the mood of each and every song in the session whether its a happy song, a sad song, a deep thought song, etc. [Out of shape artists do 1 hour sessions and end up with short careers]. Real musicians are athletes.
OMG YOU WATCHED IT!!!! HURRAY!!!!! 🔥 He's the 🐐 GOAT!!! 🙏 RIP Neil Peart of Rush was BAD ASS You mentioned when you watched "Tom Sawyer" how good the drummer was!! Boom 👊💥you nailed it, Leo!! Name is pronounced PER-T
Being one of Those Concert addicts, Rush was always on My Itinerary when they would come around My neck of the woods. I loved them so much especially Live, that When My Son was old enough to drag him along with Me to the shows, these Fellas were always My Favorite to be able Share with Him. Memories created that will Forever be Imbedded & relived in Our Hearts and Minds with every song. Saddened I will never see them Live again, but Blessed that I can Honestly say that countless times I/We had. Rest In Peace Professor
You crack me up! Loved the reaction. Different than any I have seen re this song. And you got the leg action. Most people miss it. His legs are carrying a different beat to his upper body. Something very difficult to do. You are unique. Remember that. My whole family loves you, bro. Keep on keepin' on. Cheers from Canada
This is without a doubt one of my favorite reaction videos of yours for the sole fact of you yelling, " Oh, that bitch turning!!". LOL I got to see RUSH in 1986 and Neil Peart had two sets of drums, acoustic and electric that he would spin around at various times. Your reaction never fails to crack me up when his drum kit starts spinning. Great job, sir!
You're a man of the people, you appreciate your followers, Mr. V. I'm surprised and impressed. I like you even more. You're good people. Now I'm a true fan.
I met Neil in high school. He was always a sweet, kind, gentle giant! He taught me how to climb the rope in gym class. I've always followed Rush, and always support them now. I miss him dearly. He inspired my daughter to be a great drummer, and as an actress, she starred as 'Tomasina', the lead in a play about 'Tom Sawyer' by Mark Twain. RIP my friend, Yours always.
I've was able to see Rush live 4 times and I will always cherish the fact I was able to watch the greatest drummer perform his solos. Rush is an awesome band live or recorded!🤘🎸👊
Saw RUSH live several times and each time they were awesome. RIP Neil. He was one of the greatest! Geddy Lee also excellent bass player. One of the best.
Neil was an incredible drummer and very humble. He never stopped taking lessons. He was referred to as "The Professor" because he also wrote most of the songs. He went through some very difficult times before losing his life just recently to brain cancer. If you have the time and like to read, I highly recommend his books - One of which tells of the heartbreak he suffers before he finally hops on his bike, (motor at that time), and heads north from his home in Canada. In late fall/early winter.
One of my favorite Neil Peart quotes was when asked what it was like to drum for Rush and said. "It's like running a marathon while doing complex arithmetic at the same time."
Simply an amazing drummer and lyricist. Really digging the way he could just wear out the drums and then seamlessly drop to a slower tempo. Also, I get tired just watching this drum solo, but he did this on top of a full concert! Dude had strength and stamina to spare!!!!!
Geddy Lee was once asked if they would ever get a drum machine and he said that Neil Peart WAS the drum machine. Rest in Power Professor! Their 2112 album was the first record I ever bought.
It wasn't just his skill as a drummer, but as musician and lyricist. Rush is probably the BEST band over all top to bottom. And how long they stayed together, a true team effort. No egos. I mean, I love a lot of other bands......but when you look at top to bottom, how all their songs just blended together, and the lyrics..it all flowed into one single piece.
It's so heartbreaking to know this man no longer walks this earth. Gone too soon but he will never be forgotten. It's reactors like you that keep his legacy alive.
Sir Neil Peart ..........the drummers drummer and the S.R.V OF THE DRUMS ........AND JUSS LIKE STEVIE , THEY'RE WILL NEVA BE ANOTHA!!!!One of the greatest reactions EVER!!!👌👍👊💣💥🔥💯💯💯😎✌
Neil Peart is responsible for giving me my awakening to drums...Been playing for over 40 years...still have my double bass setup...it is not a Pearl (although I used to have one) but it is a TAMA and sounds incredible....R.I.P Neil Peart

True that.

Anyway, Nicko was a cool dude. He autographed my Number of the Beast T-shirt, that I would eventually lose in a drunken stupor while visiting New Orleans... but that's another story altogether.
he never stopped learning, always reading or learning from others as the humble person he is
You have truly mastered your craft not when you know everything, but when you know that have only begun.
I've never seen anyone play drums like that wow. I was a teen in early 80s when rush was popular I've heard rush. never saw this drum solo. wow is all I can say
Rush are still popular. True talent never fades.
I understand that Rush is still popular but I was referring to the early 80s. but thanks anyway
I'm no drum expert, but didn't it seem he was carrying at least two or three separate beats sometimes in this solo?
@@brianmurphy811 Neil Peart was the master of the off beat , sounds like there are 2 or 3 different beats at a time .
Thanks for sharing that. Is that how he got the thunder sound? Or did he have something to synthesize his kick drum?
James Kirschling, it’s either the KAT or one of the other triggers he has spread around his kit. Besides his full Roland V-Drum back kit, he’s got two or three trigger pads and a couple of trigger pedals. He’s insanely busy during a song. He even triggers synth sounds in some songs. The pre-chorus organ hits in Roll The Bones are triggered by Neil live.
@@Bass17yl I was going to point out that his feet were as busy as his hands and as quick while on totally different tasks.
Um... sir, I believe that you are wrong. Neil's playing that thing they gave us as a little kid. You know that thing that makes that "ba-doo-doo-doo doo-doo-doo" sound.
Your favorite drummer's favorite drummer! The Professor!!!Pronounce like "ear" with a p at the beginning and t at the end.👌🤘
Also watch tommy Lee from Motley Crue on a roller coaster playing drums like if you all agree !!! Stay Safe RIP NEIL!(!)!
Tommy is awesome too
RIP Neil! ❤️ He was on another level as a musician and a human.
A fine example of Canadian music! Tip of the Iceberg!
Wow he is awesome!!!!!
Craig C - He grew up near me in Port Dalhousie (St Catherines, Ont).
@@susieq9801 I think #MrVideo needs some Tragically Hip in his life!! The soundtrack of a generation of Canadians!
Nice one Roxy :)
Neil was a great gift to mankind. Thanks to the band for the great recordings and Neil for his great books. RIP
Neil Peart dies in Jan 2020 and the world turns upside down. Notice how his electronic rhythms mimic the communicating with aliens from the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind? Maybe Neil has been in incommunicado all along while saying, "I'm coming home folks!"
He's the greatest percussionist ever. Combination drums plus percussion instruments, like the xylophone. Incredible!
RIP Neil Peart, aka "The Professor". I'd like to suggest "Red Barchetta" by Rush. Soooooooo happy your reacting to them.✌💜🎶
Thank you Mr.
Best thing I ever heard to describe him and how influential he was is "He's your favorite drummers, favorite drummer". That says it all
One of the best Percussionists who ever graced us with his talent. 🙏
The BEST!!
Neil was a Level 10 Master at his craft. Amazing.
He is a legend.
Legends Never Die
I knew you’d love it! They didn’t call him the professor for nothing! Thank you for enjoying Neil! 🥁🥁🥁
Impossible to watch this and not be amazed by his talent. He was the best.
Mr. video, your smile and energy is truly infectious. Glad to see you here featuring another talented Canadian. RIP Neal Peart.
Love your reactions to a band I grew up on! Neil Peart is actually P ear👂 t...P👂t! 😀 Excited to see more of your Rush reactions! Get Your Rush On!!
Neil Peart = GOAT Drummer. RIP
You’re right!! He studied African drumming, too- in Africa! You would live African Dance classes- I did! - all about rhythm and Spirit!
"Oh, that bitch turning!"".
*Walks off*
I'm fuckin crying lol 😆😂
i don't think most people realize the type of physical and mental conditioning that is required for professional musicians.
HURRAY!!!!! 🔥
He's the 🐐 GOAT!!! 🙏 RIP
Neil Peart of Rush was BAD ASS
You mentioned when you watched "Tom Sawyer" how good the drummer was!! Boom 👊💥you nailed it, Leo!!
Name is pronounced PER-T
No, pronunciation is Pier t. Watch interviews where it is confirmed.
Iv seen this 10 times live. Simply incredible... the entire band are the best musicians in the history of music.
Legend around southern Ontario is that he was in a bar in St Catharines, threw a dime up on the wall and held it there with alternate strokes.
Life long Rush fan. Neil was one of the top drummers ever! Hands down. RIP
Not only was he a genius drummer, also a prolific song writer and musician. Thank you for reacting.
Im so glad you checked this out... knew you would lose it when you watched it. He was the best drummer ever. He and SRV are jammin in Heaven.
You're a man of the people, you appreciate your followers, Mr. V. I'm surprised and impressed. I like you even more. You're good people. Now I'm a true fan.
I've been to a lot of concerts in my life and none could come close to the show that Rush puts on. They put on a hell of a live show.
Best Drummer that ever lived. I started listening to rush in 1979. First song i ever heard was bytor and the snowdog. I was hooked after that.
saw Rush 4 times live, once with my son...i can die happy
Oh dam, I've never seen this in my 70 years. That man is 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 God he's great💕💕💕. Mr. V. Thanks😍😍
Neil is your favorite drummer’s favorite drummer. RIP Professor.🤘
I've was able to see Rush live 4 times and I will always cherish the fact I was able to watch the greatest drummer perform his solos. Rush is an awesome band live or recorded!🤘🎸👊
There's a reason Neil was named The Professor. He was the best in the world. Rest In Peace, Neil. You have earned so much more.
Neil was one the greatest drummers of all time. I still can't believe he is gone. Devastating loss.
Saw RUSH live several times and each time they were awesome. RIP Neil. He was one of the greatest! Geddy Lee also excellent bass player. One of the best.
"You must be tired." Bro this was the 14th song he played that night. After this, they played 8 more lol. Neil Peart is a GOD!!!
It is an electronic xylophone. It is a percussion instrument, he was a percussionist, an amazing percussionist. RIP Neil.
Keep in mind, this was at the halfway point of the concert. He still had to play the other half of the concert after this.
Mind blowing.
Freds drum solo (from the Kentucky Headhunters) is somethin to see too! Saw it live a few years back...who needs stix? Insane! Yeah!
RIP Neil The greatest drummer ever live, it’s hard to believe it’s been a year already since you’ve been gone. 💔
The absolute LEGEND hands down point blank period!!!
Simply an amazing drummer and lyricist. Really digging the way he could just wear out the drums and then seamlessly drop to a slower tempo.
Also, I get tired just watching this drum solo, but he did this on top of a full concert! Dude had strength and stamina to spare!!!!!
You crazy!!! Best solo ever
The greatest drummer of all time.
Geddy Lee was once asked if they would ever get a drum machine and he said that Neil Peart WAS the drum machine. Rest in Power Professor! Their 2112 album was the first record I ever bought.
He was around 53 when he did this. He could still nail it on their last R40 tour.
You should be scared he’s one of the greatest drummers of all time. His talent is beyond insane.
So cool😎 video Mr V ! So we down with drum solo videos try out Motley Crue. Tommy Lee. Roller Coaster drum solo in Manchester UK
Sir Neil Peart ..........the drummers drummer and the S.R.V OF THE DRUMS ........AND JUSS LIKE STEVIE , THEY'RE WILL NEVA BE ANOTHA!!!!One of the greatest reactions EVER!!!👌👍👊💣💥🔥💯💯💯😎✌
Your favorite drummers favorite drummer. After a 30+ year career with Rush this guy still took drum lessons
Love drum solos so much skill and that rhythm is something else.
Don't sleep on RUSH now! RIP to the greatest drummer to have lived ✌
He was so good and humble he was a great human being just like you
From Mitzy
Montreal Québec Canada
He played a drum set with over 80 pieces and he was the master of all of them
Was lucky enough to see him live more than once.
Neil Peart is responsible for giving me my awakening to drums...Been playing for over 40 years...still have my double bass setup...it is not a Pearl (although I used to have one) but it is a TAMA and sounds incredible....R.I.P Neil Peart
*RUSH RULES*
💜💫✌🏼🎵
We need more... 🙏🏼
Plus, it was the one year date of his passing on January 7.
RIP Neil Peart 🥁
*I FEEL YOUR PRESENCE*
*I REMEMBER* ...
An empty custom DW kit with no professor behind it is more than my heart can take.
You will never be forgotten Neil...thank you.
Haha Rush is awesome...live at United Center about 6 years ago watching Neil was fantastic...see you on the other side and keep drumming up in heaven.
I saw him do this live several times over the years. 18 times live for me brother. ROCK PRIVILEGE!!
RIP NEIL PEART

💥THE GIRL WHO LISTENED TO RUSH💥
From the back of the stadium
She’s easy to see
Standing up at the stage
In her Starman tee
From Anthem to Limelight
To YYZ
She’s the girl who listened to Rush
And all of the rockers
And all of the heshers
Well they dreamed of the day
That they might get her
And drive her away
In a Red Barchetta
She’s the girl who listened to Rush
Philosophers and ploughmen
They can’t resist her call
They cannot choose
Not to decide
So they've got no choice at all
They've gotta love her
No she doesn’t say "Pert"
And she doesn’t say "Part"
Yeah, she knows it’s "Neil Peert"
‘Cause he’s close to her heart
Say a prayer for John Rutsey
He was there at the start
She’s the girl who listened to Rush
Philosophers and ploughmen
They can’t resist her call
They cannot choose
Not to decide
So they've got no choice at all
They've gotta love her
Why don’t girls ever listen to Rush? (X a lot)
But she listened to Rush!
The blacksmith and the artist
They can’t resist her call
You cannot choose
Not to decide
So you’ve got no choice at all
No you’ve got no choice at all
You’ve gotta love her!
I was lucky enough to see Rush once. For the Presto tour. And Neal had an amazing solo, like he did for every tour❤💪
Peart... pronounced like the word EAR with a P and a T lol ♥
The Best There Is The Best There Was The Best there Ever Will Be - IT'S BRILLIANT!
The greatest percussionist in human history. Period.
Major RUSH fan. I was super sad to hear of his passing this year. Totally unfair. He contributed so much!
There are two types of people in this world. Major Rush fans and people I'd rather not talk to.
He had the best, largest and most complicated drum kit I've ever seen.
You are doing exactly what any reasonable Rush fan would be doing, burning some herb while listening. Well done sir. 👍
