It's interesting that microG is working again on EMUI. I used to have a P40 Pro and was able to use microG on it, but then, on newer phones like Mate 40 series or P50 it wasn't possible to use microg. People were forced to use things like GBox. This is great, hopefully they don't "patch" it anytime soon lol.

You can also install microG via App Store with Pura 70 devices. In same situations we face some problems with apps/services using this "automatic installation method". It's great HUAWEI is providing us with this simple method. Actually I prefer this method. ^ML
Hi. I've followed the instructions with the exception of the Android System Preview (app was not available). I registered 3 gmail address as per 6:16, 1 was with an @gmail domain, but the other 2 were @domain emails but both were based on gmail. But even though i managed to add the @domain emails, i can't log in using gmail, google drive or other google apps. Did i do anything wrong?
A really good alternative is Curve (www.curve.com). It's available in Europe (EEA) and GB. US should (re)start soon. I use it for several years and it's working perfect for me. ^ML
Aurora needs the permissions. When you download apps with Aurora (istead of Play Store) you are free to give this apps permissions or not. There is no difference to Play Store downloads. ^ML

Is microG installed correctly - did you check the self check and all options are marked? Is your Google account visible in settings-> accounts? If so, try to uninstall UA-cam and re-install it after a reboot. ^ML

Android System Web View can also be downloaded by APKMirror. But it seems not to be important (anymore) for most of the apps. Google Meet is working finde for me. Maybe check the given permissions. ^ML
Google Play Games seems to be work fine. Due to the fact there are some differences between HarmonyOS and EMUI I can't confirm this. I just tried with EMUI. ^ML

As mentioned in the video GPay is not available! There is no solution to run GPay with microG; you need the official Google Mobile Services for GPay. A good alternative is curve (www.curve.com). It is available in the UK and the European Economic Area. Unfortunately at the moment it is not available in the US. But should be soon (see link). I use curve for a few years and it's like GPay. I only miss to connect an AMEX card. ^ML
better to use last version of microG (stable is to old) in this case there are no error messages or incompatibilities and everything works smoothly and quickly
I've got a Pixel 6 Pro. It lasted 1.5 years ONLY and over 1K just goest down the drain. Not to mention the frustrating issues that came with it. Now using P60 pro. I don't have to search and tried to resolve issues on the phone at all. Happy user!

It depends..... If you purchase an app though Play Store it should be normally available also by Aurora (while logged in to same account). There are a few apps that wont work, e.g. Aqua Mail. Drive an Keep sync perfectly for me! Use these apps every day. ^ML
You can update microG when there is a newer version. microG is the replacement for the official Play Services. You can't update microG with an official Play Services version. ^ML
I did exactly as video but when I reached unregistered links of aurora it gives me the possibility to click only android market. The Google play does not pass as number 2 link!

Got this phone as a gift from husband. Used to have Huawei P30 pro, and cloned the phone. Most of the apps just migrate from the old phone and work without problem. But McDonald's app doesn't work, while it worked on P30, and google payments and ads not working on Candy crash. Know it sounds veird but those are my stress relief as a busy momnof 4. Yes, if you have EMUI 13.1 and the november 2023 firmware update. Mate X3 with EMUI 13.1 needs march(april?) firmware update. But both devices currently gets EMUI 14.2. ^ML
You can use Aurora als alternative client as shown in the video. Also you can install GBox and use Play Store. Apps will also installed in system and not in GBox (VM). ^ML

You need EMUI 14.x. For P60 Pro and Mate X3 it should also work with EMUI 13.1.

you can use app list shortcut by swip-up-and-hold and then tap-and-hold on trash icon below or app icon on the top-left

Yes, if you have EMUI 13.1 and the november 2023 firmware update. Mate X3 with EMUI 13.1 needs march(april?) firmware update.

You can use Aurora als alternative client as shown in the video.
Also you can install GBox and use Play Store. Apps will also installed in system and not in GBox (VM).

Hello, the Google contact sync do not appear under the user account. I have Drive, Gmail, Calendar but no contacts. firstly when I installed Google sync, it appeared. after that disappear and can't bring back. any ideas?
