my too brotha, back when games were things of passion and each would push the boundaries of gameplay, narrative, graphics, interface.... not the mobile cash grab addictive nonsence of today
my Dad had the game and I used to watch while he played. But the game was in english , and I'm french. Being unable to understand what the game was saying, anytime a soldier would die, I would shout "KA-JOH-TEE !"
Actually i think the french version was a bit better, instead of just saying "Casualty", it said "Brother-of-arm has fallen" (and i prefer from far the french voice of the narrator)
You can really hear how this was a stepping stone for the Halo CE soundtrack; lots of the same MIDI instruments, drum beats, and even a tune that would later become the main Halo theme.
I always heard Stair of Grief 19:56 as a prototype Covenant Dance. The breakdown/arpeggio of Covenant dance (0:53) fits in the background of Stair of Grief controlling for tempo
As much as I would love to see a continuation of this franchise, I think a remaster would be even better. TFL will always be my favorite game ever created.
I only wish they could, if even just for the setting/world that they built. I don't even know who owns the rights anymore it's been so long. I think Take 2 did in the early 2000's after Bungie were bought by Microsoft
Yeah, so hardcore that they are actually really unfriendly to new players. (or very old returning ones) No motivation to play online again unfortunately.
Visual Vel - Lets Player That is also untrue. Renwood and I have been playing since 1998, I doubt he would be opposed to new players. I recently returned after 6 years in absence due to life and wife.
Such a good soundtrack. I replayed this game recently an everything still holds up well. The music, the narrator driven story, the graphics, and the playablity. Thx for uploading all this!
Apocalypto was such a great movie... I'm not even a movie type person but the reviews were so great that it got the best of my curiosity... glued to the screen from beginning to end... it's so intense that it's a bit anxiety inducing LOL it holds your attention without the need for crass gratuitious violence scenes, very well crafted like a Comic Book story almost
It's funny you say that, I recently started reading back through The Black Company again, I'm about halfway through, and I think it's an excellent comparison. Myth always evoked being a soldier in the midst of a desperate struggle. Not a protagonist, you're basically Croaker or Murgen. The narrator is the annalist. There are seismic events happening all around you that you may not even be part of but hear from others, and other events that you witness firsthand. Ultimately your role could be considered fairly trivial, if you take the perspective of the narrator reading his journal entries. He even buries the journal at the end to ensure it survives, similar to how Croaker was obsessed with the tradition of handing down the annals and ensuring their survival. I should add Marty's scores are all legend. From Myth to Halo to Oni to Music of the Spheres. One of one as a game composer.
awesome upload, thanks. the explanation in the narrator's epilogue is so appropriate, capturing the mixed despair and hope - but mostly despair - of the story and ideas in the game
Thank you so much for this soundtrack, everything about this game is so amazing, the sense of despair Myth is unrivaled. Wish they made more grimdark games like that =/
Played it till my fingers bled! The original story is on par with original world of warcraft, lots of depth and interesting characters. they should make an MMORPG out of it. Ill never forget those Myth days.
Visit mega.nz/#!BjpHSBwD to download Myth II: Soulblighter (Portable, 1.8.1.) with some standard plugins. The file is 2.34 GB, so make sure your hard drive can handle that before you download. Simply unzip the folder into your favored location and run "Myth II". To make a multiplayer account, you must visit metaserver.gateofstorms.net:8082/account/. This is an insecure link so it should tell you to use Steam to make an account. Once you receive your login credentials, simply input your information in "Multiplayer Game", as shown in the picture attached. There may be a lite version of this download or a heavy version released in the future. This package comes with Fear, Loathing, and the camera speed kit all found in the pinned section of this channel. You may invite your friends to download, and to this channel using the pinned link found in the bottom of the pinned section of this channel. Thank you.
One of the best RTS from the golden age of gaming.
How I miss those days.

i guess I am quite randomly asking but do anyone know a good website to watch new movies online ?
@Erik Blaine I would suggest FlixZone. Just search on google for it =)
@Ramon Jack Yup, been watching on Flixzone for since april myself :D
We feel so old :D
Casualty.
Casualties *band of 6 dwarves, dwarves accidently throw at same time and hit each other*
CASUALTIES!

The aesthetic created by Myth through the soundtrack, art design, and story is really unique. I've never played another game like it.
The Atavist same here
Thief 2

Even as far forward as we are now theres many elements of D2 lightfalls ost that call back to this soundtrack its insane
The White Falls soundtrack especially formed the basis for the Flood Theme, which given it's the theme of the Myrkredia in the game, makes sense.
i only had the demo, my parents never approved of this sort of stuff when i was a kid but holy shit did i play that demo hundreds of times.
crows bridge and badrada fur immer
I had a similar experience, now i'm a game developer 😂
As much as I would love to see a continuation of this franchise, I think a remaster would be even better.
TFL will always be my favorite game ever created.
Not a remaster, but a full blown remake with more details, better physics, more accurate destruction and more.... casualties.
My favorite game series of all time. It changed the field of gaming FOREVER! From gameplay, to graphics, to music. Bring it back, Bungie!!!
I only wish they could, if even just for the setting/world that they built. I don't even know who owns the rights anymore it's been so long. I think Take 2 did in the early 2000's after Bungie were bought by Microsoft
04:36 = Gun Pointed at the Head of the Universe (haloCE)
Hell yea
Man its so good
Hope to see Myth IV ... still waiting for it ...
Search the Web For "Nordic Warriors" not Myth4 but a game inspired by Myth
It better be rpg
Don’t you tease me like this
And still waiting....
Years ago, I was at a party celebrating the release of Halo 2 with the devs, when i couldnt help myself to ask the Bungie CEO about Myth..
One of most atmospheric game of my youth :) True classic and wish they made games like this. Learn from the best
20:21. That snare drum beat was used in Halo 2 Mosoleum Suite. So cool
jesus I love this game. The dark atmosphere, music, graphics, etc. i will remain a fan of the series to the end of my life.
4:00 ohh thats some Halo baby
The hopeful madrigal reprise is at 15:00.
44:32 reminds me of the halo theme
Greatest game ever
my first rts game before i was 10, just cant forget everything .....
Leon Tang It's definitely a classic. :)
Leon Tang Best game ever made, countless days spent on it and Myth:The Fallen Lords
There is still a small hardcore community of people who play this. There are some community patches and a server you can play on.
People still play? Time to reinstall. The multiplayer experience of Myth is unrivaled to this day.
Yeah, so hardcore that they are actually really unfriendly to new players. (or very old returning ones) No motivation to play online again unfortunately.
That's a shame to hear! :-/
Visual Vel - Lets Player That is also untrue. Renwood and I have been playing since 1998, I doubt he would be opposed to new players. I recently returned after 6 years in absence due to life and wife.
Halo before Halo! Loved all of Myth's music. Great percussion.
One of the greatest RTS's of its Genre. Real epic music created. Probably one of my most favorite PC games.
i love the story of the game, specially myth 2.
Game was way ahead of its time. There still isn't really anything like it on the market.
15:15 Nuff 'said
isn't that a song from halo?
AresBane From Myth 1, actually. It's just heartwearming to hear it at sequel as well
Лирка Тренд yeah kind knew that cause myth was made before halo
Well, you did know, but I didn't.
As far as I remember this song is hidden in each game of the halo series, but not sure if it was in Halo 2
Лирка Тренд not in halo 2
Myth: The Fallen Lords, Myth II: Soulblighter, Fallout and Fallout 2: best computer game music ever.
19:57...time to get fit...jog/run...like I did when I was young
trueeee! and what a track. jesus crist
Such a good soundtrack. I replayed this game recently an everything still holds up well. The music, the narrator driven story, the graphics, and the playablity.
Thx for uploading all this!
they should make the Myth movie and Mel Gibson should direct it.
You can guarantee that he'd make Soulblighter and Balor English
No dokladnie :)
Bravo!

14:19 (Halo: Under Cover Of Night) Effect
Best Lofi soundtrack for studying :)
played the hell out of it when i was a kid
I bought all of The Black Company books and play all Myth soundtracks while reading - this game’s score is the best in my opinion ☠️🖤
It's funny you say that, I recently started reading back through The Black Company again, I'm about halfway through, and I think it's an excellent comparison. yea the themes and world building was so effective and tremendous I miss the story telling
This has to be my favorite OST of all time.
Thanks for sharing this, this game fucking slapped. Not enough people remember
I was number 1 comet for 2 months on this game and top 10 for 5 years. Fun game
Thank you so much for this soundtrack, everything about this game is so amazing, the sense of despair Myth is unrivaled. Wish they made more grimdark games like that =/
Can the narrator’s excellent delivery be considered an instrument?
Thanks for watching! ;).
Awesome ambient music.
14:08 GIVES ME CHILLS :(
Like you're about to be jumped by clawed monsters in a city of bloodstained snow, eh?
It reminds me a lot of In Amber Clad from Halo 2
ah, good ol into the breach. Such a great track it even broke out of it's own game.
Oh man, this hits me right in the childhood.
i managef to find the CD of the entire soundtrack such as shown Worth a fortune now as they are so rare
My best favorit game Ever!!!, Ever!!!!!!!!!! I remember in 1999 before the game
half life
this was fun listening to. i had forgotten how similar halo and myth sounded. really looking forward to what destiny will sound like
Wonderful soundtrack, It reminds me good memories
Played it till my fingers bled! The original story is on par with original world of warcraft, lots of depth and interesting characters. they should make an MMORPG out of it. Ill never forget those Myth days.
The story of WoW is pretty mediocre.
This was better than Wow storywise.
Why there is not another game like myth II please why???
I think it’s because it can only be played with keyboard and mouse

Brilliant game. It's so sad that this game is not on Steam.
Epic!
I've always thought that the Myth logo might as well be a metal band logo any given time.
I only got metal band shirts, but would like to print a few Myth shirts for me and friends ;) So quite appropriate!
Thanks for posting.
OMG you are my hero.

Happy Myth Day!

I can't play! What's the encryption key for D/L? 🤔
"A murder of the Crows" sounds very similar to the Halo soundtrack awesome
this game was released 1998 ...
I know
Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori worked on both soundtracks, that's not surprising.
I don't know what write - I've been there, I've seen it...
Casualties!
1:35 will always remind me of the crow
The picture be like: "What the Mykridia doin?"
someone tell bungie to keep this going somehow... y leave this brilliant masterpiece in the dust
i got oryginal box myth:soulblighter if anyone wants. It was my first PC game.I can consider to sell it or exchange

I wonder how much money take2 wants for the myth franchise...bungie should be able to buy it back somehow.
INCOMING! (dwarf throws molotov) :D

Ahh, The Secret Halo Soundtrack
We meet again.
Sounds like it would fit in a Halo game without any problems.
Lo amo. I love so much this music.

Where can I buy this? I need it for some videos ! I'm trying to make one for this year's world cup.
torrent it and check out all the mods ppl have made on sites like thetain.com
Loved this game! Just not the people that played multiplayer on it.
Does anyone know the bpm of the myth music?
Nothing gets past you, huh? Yes, Bungie uses the same composer for their games. Good job.

This soundtrack is good, but not better than Myth Fallen Lords, in fact it is similar, but a recycled version of the first game.
Nope, but it would make more sense if you was 26+. (-:
