Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to watch my video! One year and 13k views is amazing for my little channel :) any questions then please ask! Stu.
I have this vice as well and it's fantastic you have made a fantastic job and video I love the colour thanks for sharing your time and remember stay safe and make 🍺🍺👍👍
Thank you for the kind comments, Brian! Glad you like the colour, it’s Vauxhall Rio Verde for your info :) don’t worry, a few beers were consumed after this!
Hi Stu, Thanks for taking the old lawnmower of Mr Phil Whitley, he has just told me you have relieved him of it and is moving on to the Holbrook lathe, that Ive been giving him some stick about next week. Just subbed, Del.
Hi! You’re welcome! I’m hoping to get it restored for the channel pretty soon, I want to try and cut my grass with it this year. Fingers crossed, I’m sure you’ll see it soon enough on here. Thanks for the sub! Stu.
Thank you! You’ll have to send some pics over when you’ve done it. Find me on Facebook and let me know how it’s going! The green is absolutely stunning, it’s Vauxhall Rio Verde for your information.
Yeah, it’s been absolutely fine. In an ideal world I would have welded it but the person I did it for doesn’t use it for heavy work so the repair I did will be good for years to come.
Thanks for the comments! As always there’s only so far you can go with a restoration before it’s brand new and also budget constraints from the customer too!
Почистил, покрасил, залакировал, отполировал тиски не значит восстановил. Губки изношены, не сходятся, смысл делать воронение и потом ещё несколько раз маслом смазывать тем более ручку. Красиво? - да. Восстановил? - нет.
I guess we all have different versions of what we call restored. My preference is to make them look great, so good paint, no rust but leave the patina otherwise you’re wiping away the history of the product. Thanks for the comments.

Epoxy to hold metal together?

@@stusrestohut858 well, I suppose if it's holding up then 'ell yea. Good work though, and thanks for the vid
Terima kasih semoga sehat selalu.walau sedikit sedih karena alat yang diinginkan tak bisa diberi percuma .🙏
I’m sorry but it already has a home. Keep your eyes peeled though as I will be doing another one soon.
@@stusrestohut858 terima kasih.semua terjadi karena ketidak mampuan saya pribadi.😢
It could have used a little more grinding around the jaws and top to get more of the pitting out. Nice job.

Stu your camera is vibrating I think you should mount it elsewhere than it is now
Thank you for the comments, yes it is, I’ve been looking for another solution, I can’t seem to stop the vibration in some scenes unfortunately.
Hi, unfortunately I can’t give you this tool, it was done for a good friend of mine and it’s hers! Sorry to disappoint
@@stusrestohut858 tidak apa-apa ,saya juga ingin satu alat lagi selain itu. Alat itu adalah pemotong pipa besi ridgid yang 2 inch saja.
File in one direction only.
Thanks for the comment, I have to disagree, I file in different directions so I can see where I’ve been and how much metal I’m taking off.
👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you!
Very good job but welding the broken part would be better ....
Thank you! I would have liked to have welded it but I just don’t have the facility currently to weld cast, hopefully in the future I will be able to.
You spelt "wooden" wrong! 😅🙄
Cracking job mate, nice little vice that.
