You should be able to donate those windows to a habitat for humanity store they usually take building material. That is where we donated a lot of old stuff from our house renovation.
You crack me up Zach. I appreciate your dry sense of humor and bringing me a few good laughs in most of your videos especially because I suffer from major depressive disorder, situational and social anxiety, insomnia, ocd, and many other health issues. So it is truly a battle for anyone to be able to truly make me laugh but you sir accomplish that every upload. Your local habitat for humanity might be a place to take the windows. Suggestion- attach the shelving to the wall, near the top, with good strong lags. You might think about making a bridge between the two rack section at the top. It would give you another 8’ or so of storage. Stay warm. Oh that’s right you’re going to CA!

Those pallet racks 😅 yeah. Eventually, I came up with a system... Lean end against the wall, but a beam real low to connect to other end. Now come back and do one at 5'. If you do the back side first, less ducking. What's real fun is putting them up with a fork lift. Get em started on low beam. Platform, rails (on an angle), platform+ rail. Bring forks between the ends, climb up on the forks, hook up the back rail then front rail. Now the platform. Rails on an angle so they can fit between your end stands...
Respect for dealing with those shelves by yourself. Me and three other people took down a ton of them and it took forever and was a pain. I know how hard it is to deal with those.

I would get another set of horizontals and string them at the top between the racks, that way you get floor storage under the window and more space at the top.
You know the funny thing about shops and organizing. No matter how big it is or how much shelve you have. There never enough room. Always need a couple more bays!!
I can second this. I used to work at a factory with some that were even larger. I once saw a forklift driver misjudge putting a pallett up. He had three shelves come down on the lift along with about 7,000 lbs of parts onto the lift. (the cage saved him but not his pants 😁) Thankfully the legs of the rack and the top layer stayed put because of the legs were bolted to the floor. That steel will twist if you aren't careful.
Hey Zack. Since you are going to be in Tulare (pronounced "to Larry") you might want to stop at Hilmar Cheese in Hilmar CA. Paid for 4 years of college doing that! 30+ years later now and retired! Good memories. . .
