Videos old but thank you for being the only video to show the slide release spring location. Took mine apart, find out this is not the easiest gun to strip, next to glock and sig” and couldn’t remember where it went.
Where did you purchase the parts, as we don't sell a slide lock spring. Generally, when the slide doesn't lock back, the thumb is on top of the release. The slide release is activated by the magazine follower hitting the nub that is on the lever and pushing it up.

We do have some newer video in our trigger job assembly that show things in much better quality. Thank you.
The auto takedown parts are added to the XDM.
OK, which spring goes on which side and how do they sit in there?
It adds a spring that adds more trigger pull weight and more parts that aren't really needed for the firing function. Sometimes more is not better.

The front rails in the locking block are steel and take most of the forces. The rear rails are polymer.
Thanks
Is there a way u can take out the ejector with out messing around with everything else?..
Are the guide rails metal. I heard the rear is all plastic.
Yes, the locking block is a solid block of metal. The rails in the rear do little at all.
@@SpringerPrecision ok cool thank you for the response
that really wasn't a full detail disassembly and re-assembly. Looks like an ad for your parts.
Mike Anderson it is one part of many. And yes, we show our parts installation also, though this one is pretty old.
I have parts left on my XDm doing it your way..LOL GLOCKS ROCK
Sorry...I think I was going somewhere with that comment I was making, but got interrupted and inadvertently sent it incomplete. Thanks!
Difference between XD and XDM
Please actually show the parts, ND springs. This video is great if you already know everything
We have a much newer video. This one is very old.
@@SpringerPrecision why not post the link?
@@WKelleyLucas_KustomScatterguns because UA-cam has lists of videos and there was no specific part addressed.
If you happen to push the pin for the mag release too far out, This guy did a great video on that part only. ua-cam.com/video/VXPul68h5yc/v-deo.html
Yes, it is much better to not push the pin too far and keep the release captured.
By far, the worst gun to disassemble and reassemble that I've ever owned, and I have a 1980s Ruger MKII.
Really bad camera work.
Do you think we should delete these decade old videos?
No but just remake the videos with more details and fine adjustments that are needed for install.
