Honestly I think it’s time we got a proper Die Hard game. With the new Gen graphics and variety of platforms to play it on I think it be good. Plus I’m sure the original actors would love to voice their characters again, minus the few who are unfortunately no longer with us.
I remember being excited for this after trying a demo. Boy was I disappointed, almost at Aliens Colonial Marines levels of disappointment. Die Hard deserves a better FPS game. Maybe Monolith Productions could've done one back then. I know, give the license to the devs who made Terminator Resistance.
I really enjoy the way you review the games. You’ve got this almost professional method of explaining the games, the mechanics, and it certainly makes you stand out as compared to the crap IGN and the rest puts out. It’s short, it’s clear, it’s straight to the point. There’s no outside factors that change your opinions of the games. Nowadays, consoles and games get scathing reviews because of political ideology and its extremely jarring in many cases. Keep up the great work! I’ll always watch everything you put out!
Hi there, great review! I was questioning myself how did you get die hard nakatomi plaza running at 1080 p widescreen, I tried everything and it just opens in 4:3 resolutions
You really decided to go all in with the Die Hard videogames franchise, I salute you! Fully expecting a review of Die Hard Trilogy 2 on PS1 now and the one on Gamecube! I won't accept any other outcome. Regarding the vanilla version of this game that I decided to finish one day of summer '05 when i was bored to death, I can confirm, bullet accuracy and hitpoints are atrocious. Glad you had the mod installed.
Reading the ModDB page, it just seems to me like the author got tired of firing in bursts and having to shoot everyone in the head. I don't see how the gunplay becomes more challenging or realistic. Really, the shooting could've been improved a lot just by replacing that godawful sound effect on the MP5.
this review was fun :D I hope you'll do the second PS1 Die Hard game cause thats a big improvement over the original and it has some oddly charming extra hidden levels
it's really telling that this game started off life as a N64 title that got canceled and repurposed which would explain some of the unfinished aspects of it
I really love this game and honestly can't understand all the hate towards the game. This game brings so much memories, it has really great tension atmosphere and soundtrack (no matter it constantly repeats, it's still great). This game was very challenging to survive fights with the bad guys which was big adventage. Also very liked the healht and stamina system in this game. The sound if weapons are very unique and always reminds of this game because no other game has such weapon gun shots sound. Maybe it sounds bad for someone but it makes memories with this game. Die Hard is one of my FAV movies and this game brings me movie memories very nicely, seriously I love it and for me it's one of the most underrated games ever.
For some reason I always loved that they actually made you Left-handed in this otherwise shite game. For some reason the main thing I remember about it is the motorola product placement, which says it all
@@emulation2369 Hard disagree, there is always a reason to play a game as it was originally designed by the artists. Not only that but those types of balance mods can make some sweeping changes and as a player you have no way of knowing if those are actually improvements unless you play the original
Judging by this footage playing this in widescreen doesn't actually use the correct aspect ratio. It looks like 4:3 or 5:4 stretched to fill the screen. To that all I have to say is 'ugh...' Though I guess this is the least of this game's problems.
@@ChaseMC215 Well it's not about dressing it up, it's making it at least play abit better, and polishing and rebalance what ever seems to be broken in the game still. Heck if there's a way to hack and mod Superman 64 to even be slightly better then the final product, then that's a thing i like to see. Fans and modders fixing games made by high budget companies, that failed making their games, for being cheap or in a rush, for selling a unfinish final product.
I mean, credit where credit's due. At least they remembered that Bruce Willis is left-handed
Huh, I didn't know that.
Lefties represent!
Pretty common in my family, so I notice these things
It's the only Die Hard game to get that right.

Interestingly enough, the game runs on the LithTech 2.0 engine which was developed by Monolith.
But the devs who made Terminator Resistance would probably turn Die Hard into a shitty on rails game like Rambo The Video Game.
Check out Die Hard: Vendetta. Genuinely fantastic licensed game + better than any of the film's sequels.

instaBlaster...
A cult classic game you might enjoy is Chronicles of Riddick Escape from Butcher Bay.
Had no idea this game even existed, let alone the mod, really fun to see. Great video!
I remember Bruce Willis saying that Die Hard is not a Christmas movie, if you can believe that.
It's a shame when people go senile.
If people say Die Hard is a christmas film, then it's a fucking christmas film, don't listen to people who say it isn't a christmas film.
@@ChaseMC215 i aggree with peoble who say it isent a christmas movie

I couldn't wait for this when I was younger.

die hard trilogy, "happy trails" always pops into my head thinking of die hard games : P
This is Aliens colonial marines before that game came to be.
it's really telling that this game started off life as a N64 title that got canceled and repurposed which would explain some of the unfinished aspects of it
It's about time we got a full fledged die hard game based on the movie
Die Hard: Vendetta needs to be next!
Love the mod reviews 🎄
can you do Die Hard: Vendetta on PlayStation 2, GameCube, Xbox? :)

The Steyr AUG A1 (in standard configuration) and the M-60 are unfriendly to southpaws.
Oh please let this be everything I hope it is...
Next stop: Die Hard Arcade / Dynamite Deka 😂
How can u play it without the glitch .even with laptop it stretches the characters in a real weird way

no
Now we need a Robocop (2003) Improve mod
If you ever review Far Cry 2, I'd be honored if you shared your thoughts on the Redux mod.
No point in playing the game without it or any other mod like this

Die hard trilogy was a better experience
Sadly, it is the best Die Hard game made so far. Most other games are just okay to bad.
