How many have skied and boarded the east facing slopes of Mount San Joaquin (11,480')? I June and Mammoth were linked via San Joaquin Ridge, it would create one of the most epic advanced terrain resorts on earth. But it would probably take an act of Congress to carve a large region out of Wilderness status....
Johnny inSeitz i don't think so. I read the article and it said they thought about it but now I don't think they could because it is protected land in between the two resorts. But I could be wrong.

this was already being skied in the late eighties/early nineties...I lived in June in 93-94, and it had already been done by a few locals
