How can we pick if I was in awe every second of it!? The narration was on point and the inspirational quote at the end was important! "convince each other that its worth the ride, and all about the FLOW" :)
As the music has always been creative and inspiring, I find the video being just as beautiful, creative, and as great as the music is and always will be. Thank you for sharing this masterpiece with us all! :)
Bill Walton is a national treasure and should be treated as such, I never miss a chance to hear his broadcasts! In 1975 at the SNACK benefit in SF I did a favor for a guy who changed my life, that guy was Ramrod and I toured with the Dead until they went to Egypt. I lost my entrance visa so Bill could make the trip, as Ramrod said "never trust a prankster". I ended up in the CSNY family for the next decade or so and I am so happy this all happened the way it did. RIP!

I'm not surprised that this turned out so well coming from the mind of a Mammoth local. I'm a snowcat mechanic at Mammoth and remember when they were shooting the night riding. It took a lot of cat support and the cats always break down more during storm cycles. All I knew at the time was that Benchetler was doing something on Hemlocks with lights and Dead music. Glad to be a part of it. All the events and competitions, plus everyday grooming, that depend on snowcats, would eventually come to a standstill without snowcat mechanics. Without snowcat mechanics, every ski area would be littered with broke down snowcats.
I've been in the hospital emergency room for the past 39 hours in excruciating pain due to crohn's disease complications. This film is what I needed! Thank you so much for sharing this with us! I've never seen such beauty, color, nature and inspiration while watching some of my favorite athletes doing what they do best to my favorite band! So amazing! Will help get me through surgery this afternoon with a big bright smile on my face! Thank you 1000x over and again!
Hope your stomach has healed friend. I know the deads sound guy had an all meat diet maybe that could help you. I have digestion issues and go to that when its acting up.
That Barton Hall Fire is just so amazing. I have listened to it SOOOO many times, and it still gives me chills. Superimposed with the skiers and surfers it's even more breathtaking.
The spirit alive and thriving. 250+++ years from now songs and music that The Grateful Dead left us with will still be played. Deadicated people - 'we're everywhere' - and forever will be out there. Bill Walton....just bless your heart man. Beautifully filmed and orchestrated. Well deserving of awards. What a great distraction due to well....you know what....
Just started listening to and loving the GD a couple of yrs ago. Why it took this long, who knows. Better late than never! This blend of outdoor sports, freedom & love of Grateful Dead music & ethos is a recipe to feed the spirit.& soul.
"...it's within nature that we examine our relationship with space and time..." Jerry would be proud! Also that shot where Jeremy slashes that ridge and it explodes on the bottom of his board almost like a tye-dye is so cool! Pow!!!
I saw them at the Lyceum, London '72. Amazing show & sound; we were mid-floor level. My English friends had never heard of them (!) and at first they were totally thumbs down....(they were into Yes and prog rock). BUT.... by about 4th song they were up dancing and they totally never stopped all the way through One More Saturday NIght (which was orgasmic) ....they became total deadheads right in front of me.
Great production! Bill, big red’s voice, the dead, the mammoth mountains, the paintings, machado surfing so much beauty. My son Nick Lozica is out there guiding people rock climbing, ice climbing, back country skiing etc… 23 year old doing what a youngster suppose to be doing. Jacked on life! Every time I watch this I feel his excitement and realize why his heart beat/ticks toward this lifestyle! Go, go, go and feel your youth, I only happens once and does go by. Create memories and experiences. Respect the game of life, it’s is a gift Fire on the Mountain! We got your back
That was one of the most beautiful films Ive ever seen. As a life long deadhead snowboarder and surfer, this made me shed a tear of joy. Forever grateful for the humans and the natural landscape this world has to offer. Much love everybody!!
As an old head--GREAT TO SEE creativity, love and respect for the jams and JERRY--of course you gotta have WALTON The Pied Piper----NOTHING BETTER THAN FRESHIES AND JAMS IN ANY MOUNTAIN TOWN. The feeling you get when you go to a show in a ski town at night and its dumping----the anticipation of the next day is almost too much to bear pure joy!!
My mom always talks about how she followed the Grateful Dead on tour back in the day. Showed her this and she was so stoked and happy! Great job TGR! Would love to surprise her with some of the Grateful Dead gear
This is a pure bliss film! Nicely done! Tips to the viewers: blast this on your 4k hdtv on full on surround sound and chew half a gummy bear! Your Tuesday night will be one to remember!
What the athletes did was, of course, amazing. Watching them I kept thinking, "I could never." lol But I have to say, Tyler Hamlet's cinematography is breathtaking. What a great job all around. Thanks for making it available to watch. Happy Holidays!
My favorite part: the moment the sky goes dark, the colored lights go on, the skiers drop as white glow bugs, and Fire on the Mountain from Cornell 77 kicks in.
the way the glowsuits light up the snow when they make a powder wave under the red and purple lights was just amazing. i love night riding for sure but that was on a whole new level. amazing.

The dead was a big part of my life, over 50 shows in my youth while going on climbing trips to near by climbing destinations that followed the Dead Really loved this. Feels good to see and here everything I live for in one nice short. Bravo, Joey V.
I so missed the boat. I was just getting into them a year or two before Jerry passed. I envey anyone who got to do some tours. I did manage to tour with fish for a couple summers so I partly know what I had been missing. I miss tour so much. But being an adult really gets in the way of the good life sometimes.

Grateful Dead, Bill Walton, and outdoor adventure. Wow, combined together in this wonderfully artistic film is a beautiful thing! I particularly enjoyed the light suits slow motion jumps with blended light and colors.

Beautiful Film. Just got done snowboarding on Saturday and was surfing today (Sunday). Just easing into my Sunday evening when I came across this by chance. Life is not about how many acorns you can collect but how close you can get to that pure connection with nature. The ride is everything. And it doesn’t hurt to have the dead in your ears while riding it.
