    Our modification: For produce, it's really important to use to have lots of fresh fruit and veggies so it's more appealing for all of us to eat; so we do a "bulk buy" of everything excluding veggies, fruit and dairy/milks. We do a weekly shop for those things but it's simple and easy because it's not much. Thank you for your tips! Your channel is a gift!

      YES! We actually do the exact same thing with our produce except it's just every 2 weeks. I 100% agree though - fresh fruit and veggies are way more appealing for everyone! I love that little tidbit - thanks for sharing! ❤

    I make meal plans for 14 days but I make big meals that last 3 nights and one night easy meals in between. And breakfast only weekends easy breakfast weekdays. I am a single mom if 3 now. Then I just repeat the last 2 weeks. I sometimes change it up with other 3 night meals.

    Love the idea! But my question is how do I choose 28 dinners (and 28 breakfasts) without my shopping list not being a mile long?😨 (Mimi Nickerson)

    Thank you for this helpful video. I watched your day in a life, and loved it. Could you please share how did you sleep train your children? Thank you again and congratulations, I love the content of your videod

      I'm so glad you've liked some of our life videos! We do plan on making a whole video on how we sleep train our kiddos once we have a number 3 to demonstrate with ;) But the jist is we follow the "Baby Wise" schedules and methods for really, the first year, as absolutely best as we can in combination with some of the methods from "Taking Cara Babies". The two combined have created the best opportunity for sleep for our littles! They've both slept through the night around 2 months and consistently sleep 12 hour nights without wake ups! Good sleepers are a LIFE SAVER!

    I would love to try this but had a question! My husband typically will eat leftovers for breakfast and then have a second dinner…… it’s hard for us to stick to a budget or have leftovers because he is a black hole! Any advice?

    Do you reuse the bags that you put the meat in or do you buy new bags each month?

    • @CarnahanFam
      @CarnahanFam  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Jami! We buy new ones each month for cross contamination purposes! In the future when we can afford the silicone reusable bags we’re really hoping to invest in those! For now, we stick with the Glad Freezer Quart Size Bags ☺️

      @@CarnahanFam I'm always looking for new yummy recipes. Can you share some of your favorites sometime? And what do you do about picky toddlers? I have the hardest time getting my little girl to eat and it's so frustrating!

    • @CarnahanFam
      @CarnahanFam  4 роки тому +3

      Sure thing! I'd be happy to share some of our favorites with you! In regards to picky toddlers - our son goes through phases where he can be really pick too (He's actually in one right now!) We always offer what we are eating for dinner, and I just try to include ONE thing I'm confident he loves and would eat. If he still chooses not to eat that then really, I can only assume he's actually not hungry! We also do a lot of modeling at the table of everyone eating their food. Sometimes we'll use little tricks like doing a "cheers bite" and everyone gets a bite on their fork and we do a cheers and then take the bite (that one almost always works!).
      As for favorite recipes, here are a few we LOVE!
