    Some have mentioned my mistake regarding barrel types. This DB-15 uses a 4150 CrMov barrel, which is milspec. 4140 barrels are typically decent civilian barrels, but don’t hold up to heat as well as 4150 barrels. Due to this, the 4150 barrels typically last longer. Apologies for the mistake. Thanks to those who caught it!

    I bought mine a couple of years ago….the black gold series. It was priced right and looked like a solid rifle. Those reasons and the seller at the gun shop = rifle going home with me. I love it. Such a great firearm. I have since upgraded things like the BCG, trigger, and such to make it mine and I simply will never get rid of it. It’s a solid shooter, never one malfunction, and accurate to boot. I am out of the Marine Corps now, but I would definitely have taken it into combat with me.

      It is a solid gun! I think I’ll take a page out of your book and swap out the bcg and trigger too!

      FYI…..hard chrome BCG’s from Wilson Combat right now for half price due to blemished items. Extreme value on these……..the best there is.

    Very nice rifles! I purchased one recently in near new condition with a vortex red dot optic mounted. Very accurate at 50 yards and has a great stock trigger. This thing is near the top of 'bang per buck' category from what I've seen and will satisfy 90% of us out there just wanting good all around rifle.

      @sonofaboomer  Рік тому +2

      I agree! This is an awesome bang for you buck gun! There’s better rifles out there but at it’s price point I really think you get more gun for your dollar than most other brands.

    I'm picking up my DB-15 on the 15th, it will be the second diamondback I have ever owned, the first one being chambered in .300 BLK. I know that a few years ago they had some pretty frequent QC issues. In the last year or so, they've pretty much revamped their entire process. I actually visited the factory since I live in NE FL and it was a relatively short trip to see them. They walked me through the whole process and for ~$600-$1000, their entry level rifles are about the best bang for the buck in terms of "budget" AR-15 platforms. I have a $1,500 BCM build also, and as someone who is just preparing for a SHTF or Boogaloo situation, both rifles are pretty much interchangeable in terms of accuracy and performance. Bought 2 cases of 62gr BTHP match ammo and ran 1,000 rounds through both. Aside from needing some minor adjustments on the gas block for the older DB-15, they both ran perfectly. Not a single malfunction, ftf, or anything. And TBH, the gas block situation was probably because I originally tuned it for 55gr .223. Great review, I'd love to see Diamondback get more love, since they've definitely becoming a true quality company over the last couple of years.

    This is my first AR15 and I love it! The longer it breaks in the better it shoots, tighter the groups it’s really coming together nice. Currently running a gifted Bushnell hunting scope but looking into other options when money becomes available and can find red dot to work with my astigmatism. Great video man! Keep up the good work ✊✊

    For being able to get a Rifle that the Ukrainians consider a Battle Rifle for nearly 600$ I’ll rock that shit forever , put a good red dot , angled Foregrip , and some backup Irons and you have a solid duty rifle that can put rounds on target plus being able to build it up for cheaper than some Gucci rifles you see nowadays

    Good rifle, I got one used and unfired for next to nothing. Threw a wilson lower parts kit to bullet proof it and a bcm trigger. Runs like a champ.

    In my opinion the Diamondback DB15 is underrated. Diamondback problem isn't their rifles. They had issues with their earlier Diamondback DB9 and like the earlier Beretta NANO, forgot to mentioned they weren't plus P rated.

    People have issues with right out of the box reliability. I highly recommend field stripping and thoroughly cleaning any firearm before sending bullets downrange. I have found all kinds of debris in brand new ones from dirt to metal filings. Somebody in quality control missed them.

      I bought a DB-15 and I like the features for the price - but it’s true - I was surprised at how much metal shavings and such I found in the rifle from the factory. A mess. Bought 2 M&P 15 rifles and they were both absolutely free of metal shavings right out of the box. Make sure to carefully clean out your new Diamondback rifle before using it the first time.

    Used to have a db ar pistol. Shot really good out of the box. Had no issues. I think they are a good entry gun for the price/quality. At the time i feel like they werent given enough credit as a company. I'd assume they have gained more popularity over the past few years cause i see thwir stuff at gun shows all the time and a lot of positive reviews on youtube.

    • @sonofaboomer
      @sonofaboomer  Рік тому

      Yeah they’re a solid entry gun. I’ve put a couple thousand rounds through mine at this point with no issues. Runs brass and steel cased stuff fine. I was a bit nervous when I got mine because I didn’t seem to find a ton of reviews. Now they’re a lot more prevalent.

      When I bought it, they started around $550. From what I’m seeing online, a lot of places are starting around the $650 mark now at most places but they occasionally go on sale for less. This particular model has an MSRP of $775 now.

    • @sonofaboomer
      @sonofaboomer  8 місяців тому

      When possible, the 223 wylde is a superior barrel! Good find! Other barrels will do good enough for most things, but for better precision with both types of ammo, you’re right to get the wylde
