“Reverse the polarity” such an iconic line
Exactly
Love it
I use that line a lot at work.. when a 3 phase motor needs reversing!
"Chap with wings, there. Five rounds rapid." perhaps even more so...
they need to reverse the polarity of the timeless child.
Jo: "I'm a fully qualified agent, you know!"
*Immediately cuts to shot of Jo rolling her ankle*
@EK H Liz, Sarah, and especially the Brigadier are better though
She didn't say she was invulnerable .
"Do you realise how long I've been confined to one planet? Before the BBC's massive budget cuts I would spend all my time seeking the wonders of the universe..."
Of all of the Doctors, the Third Doctor was closer to the Gentleman Adventurers of that
period, (John Steed, the Saint, the Baron, John Drake).
Jon Pertwee was a class act. He was also the best dressed.
Gone, never to be forgotten.
One of the best Doctor and Companion duo’s
"An old acquaintance has arrived on this planet."
Excited for The Master's first season to come to Blu Ray!
And for sasha to see roger’s master in action on the special features
@@bananasaregood8655 Oh yes I'm looking forward to that!
"It is Dimensionally Transcendental. What does that mean? It means it is bigger on the inside then out." One of my favourite TARDIS introduction qoute's. 😇👍
But not this wall behind me, that’s 2D. ;)
it was such a good quote, adric and nyssa reenacted it 10 years later
Reverse the polarity of the neutron flow.
"It's smaller on the outside"--Clara.
I can see where Peter capaldi got his inspiration from Jon pertwees doctor 😎
I thought the same thing
His line delivery is so good. He really emulates Pertwee very well
He was a fan
@@Maniac536 He is a fan.
“Reverse the neutron flow of the polarity”....unforgettable line!
Hahaha
polarity of the neutron flow. What polarity do neutrons have?
@@Nikioko Everyone knows the answer to that - it’s taught in school, don’tcha know?
In fact you forgot it...
@@sabrinatirabassi3529 Me?! No, never!
Love how the kept the "Bond feel" that they had in the first trailer for this set!
While Troughton and McCoy are my favorite ClassicWho Doctors, I always love seeing Pertwee's era. Something about it is so funny and out there. You just gotta love how ready 3 is to throw hands.
Same here, Troughton's my favourite, theres something so fulfilling and entertaining about Pertwees era. It's the doctor who equivalent of comfort food.
Queensbury rules?
Roger Delgado was so freaking awesome...
I always enjoyed THE DEAMONS, that was Roger Dalgado's Master at his best!
That temporary fault bit at the end actually spooked me.
YANA
I thought “haha, they didn’t mention BBC3” … but then, NOPE!
'I am usually referred to as the Master. Universally!'
"The excitement is intense, the stage is set" 😆🌟💕👏
Loved the trailer revolving around the devils end broadcast, tense & funny moment through out!!!
The original Master. The greatest Master. RIP Roger Delgardo.
I liked Anthony Ainley too, but Delgardo was indeed awesome.
The memory doesn't 'cheat'. These ancient old seasons are still light years ahead of the current era of Dr Who.
"My dear Mister Chinn, if I could leave, I would, if only to get away from people like you." - love that part.
Those TARDIS scenes in Claws of Axos and COlony in Space look so crisp!!! Plus Terror of the Autons looks like a huge step up, as does the colour restoration on Dæmons!!!! I cant wait, huge congrats, season 8 has got to be your best restoration work yet!!
Can’t wait, Jon pertwee is the best
*Jon Pertwee
Difference of opinion here, but Tom Baker I feel was the best, as he had the longest run of any (7 seasons), but Pertwee is a close second, of classic Who, and Tennant was best of Nu Who.
Best Doctor ever.
It always kills me that he was at a local convention by me as a kid, and would come out apparently in full costume. Sadly, this was the late 80s, and I didn't know what Doctor Who was. If I'd somehow been watching it then like I was Star Trek, getting to meet him would have been a BLAST. I think in the Classic Doctors, I liked him just a bit more than Tom Baker.
@@harrycgosling thanks I’ll correct it now
Ah, the perfect season. A brilliant doctor, the budget to actually go places, some colour (maybe to much, Lol), a classic assistant, the master, and some ridiculous sci-fi nonsense to enjoy.
My first Doctor, and perhaps still my favorite.
*nice* edit job whoever did that - looks wonderful
Can’t wait for the new restorations for this one. Almost 8 years on from the DVDs and it looks so much better.
I only own most of these episodes on VHS, won’t lie, lmao. But nevertheless I am very excited to pick up the series too.
LOL, no it doesn't you need your eyes checked.
@@ValiantWrestling it looks better on a TV then in these videos, though I would be lying if I said it was a massive improvement, all the extras they include are the main reason to pick up these releases the improved quality is just a bonus honestly
This trailer is so iconic
My favourite season by far
My First Doctor - The Daemons being the first story I watched way back in 1971 and it scared the crap out of 9 year old me & have been hooked ever since!
The picture restoration looks great. Unfortunately almost a 3 month wait here in the USA.
Same. Here in the UK, they go out of stock in a day or two, so you have to buy them from ebst for like 100 quid
*ebay
God the image quality looks like such an improvement over the DVD masters, I can’t wait to see them in their full glory!
Jon pertwee was my favourite Doctor
These trailers as well as the announcement trailers are always excellent. Always a fun surprise to see a new trailer drop!
Two masters at work, Jon and Roger.
Chap with the wings there.
A fabulous memory. Also, Roger Delgado was top top top as The Master.. 👍
For me, Roger Delgado was THE Master.
I'd argue one of the best seasons of the show in it's entire run - even the less good stories are entertaining
Love the BOND-esq trumpet at the begining, a little tease to let you subtlely know what sort of Doctor John was. It wasn't revealed until years after his death, but Pertwee during WW2 was a real life (abeit low-ranking) British agent, doing undercover things. I'm a bit upset that there was no modern day short of Katy Manning fighting off some Nesten shop dummies at her local Sofa DHS Store. Did we use up the budget on the Season 25 trailer?
The announcement video for this collection a few months ago had Katy Manning and some Autons
YESS
BEEN LOOKING FORWARD FOR THIS!!
Oh look. Part of the best tenure in all of Doctor Who
Terror of the Autons, The Mind of Evil, The Claws Of Axos, Colony In Space and The Daemons.
I already put it on pre-order last month because he’s my favourite classic Doctor (sorry Tom).
1:04 got to love the round thing wallpaper.
Pertwee was an awesome Doctor and Delgado my favorite Master.
"Colony In Space" has one of my favorite scenes in just about anything, really. The Doctor's response to the Master's temptation of ruling the Universe with him is probably the most intelligent response to threat and predation that I've ever heard.
The definitive Jon Pertwee season
so glad I pre ordered this!
I can’t wait to see this season 8 is gonna be cool and awesome and John Pertwee he is one of the best actors in United Kingdom
My favorite Classic Era Doctor and arguably the 2nd best Doctor (after Peter Capaldi).
After Patrick Troughton, Tom Baker and Christopher Eccleston.
Anyone ever think of Jon Pertwee as the James bond Dr, he was dapper, had gadgets, had cool cars, one that flew, very q branch like, with unit he was more like a spy than space adventurer, especially in the grounded on earth episodes
That was the point.
BBC copied the early succesful Bond movies.
@@dimitris6258 yes I know but ud be surprised how many people don't read between the lines, as Tom bakers Dr drew parallels with Sherlock Holmes too
This is amazing excellent job making this trailer
Jon Pertwee is pretty much the only doctor that people can say is the best Doctor and I won't thumbs down/dislike their comment because they didn't say Tom Baker, lol.
What about Patrick Troughton?
I really miss the old doctor's
Got mine on per order since day 1
One of my favorite series, I just have to pick it honestly. Pertwee, Manning, Delgado, and Courtney are such brilliant actors that play off of each other so well.
I loved Jo Grant has a companion. Her leaving was so bittersweet... And sad.
Masterful series, quite literally! Every story this season had the Master and Roger Delgado carried it super charismatically. I think it's the only season of the entire show where this happens. It's also very appropriate for the same reason that this specific season gets promoted in the year that marks the 50th anniversary of the Master on TV. So, whoever picked the date, kudos to you.
Fantastic! Looking forward to this so much!
Gail Platt @ 1:21 lmao
If Pat was in it as well
I can’t wait for this!
One of the best doctors of all time I have to admit
Oh shoot. My fave classic who doctor. Gonna have to pick this one up.
Good luck....
@@jensablefur155 I'll probably need it.
Such a good trailer. I never got much into the 3rd Doctor. This makes me want to go and watch his episodes.
Can’t wait!!!
Probably my Favourite all time season. My first exposure to Doctor Who and still holds up really well. Plus how can you not love Jo. She had such an awesome story arch and character development.
Cannot wait! Best doctor, one of the best seasons! And of course the master!
3rd Doctor : The man of action.
One of the best doctors ngl
Devils End Temporary Fault - gives me an idea for a 70's style BBC EAS video....
Bring it on
Great clips. Loved Pertwee and Jo. Just the right amount of severity and humor.
This is one of those videos that I go to like and realize I've already liked it.
i was in time to see this video
1:02 epic.
My mum never much cared for her, but I've always felt Jo was incredibly underrated
Fantastic absolutely fantastic
One of my favorite Pertwee seasons
I can't wait to purchase the collection😍
SO excited!!! Glad that it is available to preorder now on US Amazon!!! :D
John Pertwee he is the best and coolest actor in the world in Hollywood and he became famous to become the Third Doctor who in the tv show of Doctor Who
DW isnt hollywood
@@beacon5076 Ikr its Wales
@@Dimension5Productions New Who is Wales, Classic Who is London.
Pertwee was in many films.....more Pinewood than Hollywood but I know what you mean Diego, he had what his Doctor Who producer Barry Letts described as ‘star quality’ in that he seemed more famous than he actually was. Tom Baker described Pertwee as a ‘walking lightbulb!’
VERY well edited here 😎
I can't wait to get this . Its already sold out on Amazon
2:43 I like the old BBC 3 logo.
The best Doctor. Just saying.
I loved the 3rd doctor unit stories, great casting to.
this is where I came in.
0:51 they can't have picked a better scene for that line...
I can't wait.
Great season that introduced the Master so good!!
So this is what Alfred got up to before working for The Waynes.
Claws of Axos looks like it could be from 20 years later!
I love this show I have been watching since 2006
I loved this season even though nothing can top Season 7 imo (that's probably because I like Liz more than Jo, who is also amazing)
I think they should do season 7 after 24 and 20
@@Dimension5Productions if they do a lot of restoration work would need to be done personally I think they should do season 7 during the 60th
Tremendous trailer
Wow! Very exciting:)
I think this is one of the few seasons where all the stories are impeccable for me, yes even Colony and Axos.
Best doctor who watching his episodes are the time I'm most happy 😊
Hell yea
Perfection!
Great season
Appropriate this has a spy film trailer feel to it
Wow I’m so early and that trailer was so pertwee
I haven't got this Season 8 boxset as I already brought all the Classic Who DVDs (as well as "Spearhead from Space" Blu-ray) and don't have much space left. On "The Mind of Evil" DVD, blemishes appear throughout Eps 2-6, most likely due to the chroma dot colour recovery process. It's mostly location scenes, like the shootout scene in Ep 5 where there's bits of pink against the sky. Do these blemishes also appear in the Blu-ray version or did they manage to fix this?
