Caroline Cooper wasn’t expecting to stay at Erlanger East when she went in for routine blood work for a maternity check-up. But baby Miller had other plans. Labor had begun early. Caroline’s birthing journey took another turn when she needed to change her plans for vaginal delivery with epidural - to instead deliver Miller via Caesarian Section (C-section).
The unexpected is always stressful, especially with the birth of your first child. But throughout their experience, the Coopers felt at home, safe, and well-informed thanks to the doctors and nurses at Erlanger East Women's Services. Caroline was especially grateful for support in helping her successfully breastfeed Miller after surgery.
