I can't wait to try this! Your videos are a lifesaver for someone just starting DIYing like me. I love how you give substitutions for ingredients that I don't have or don't want to use, makes it really easy to customize. You are so helpful!
Hey Marie is there any way to make this recipe a tad more moisturizing? I love baths but have really dry skin and would love to make something that soothes and nourishes my skin as well as have the fun part of bubbles. This product seems comparable to Aura Cacia Foam Bath powder however their formula contains jojoba oil which I’m assuming is for the conditioning properties. But I don’t just want to add that to the recipe because I don’t know how much or if it would make an oily mess in the tub.
Love the video just a quick question, I love science and I love experimenting can I replace SLSA with citric acid and baking soda I live in a place where they don’t have it :) thank u
Just got to that part of the video where she says it - it is from Yellow Bee. 🐝 There’s a direct link as always in her blog post. Follow the link in the description box below this video to her written recipe (tap the little down arrow to expand the description box) and there’s a direct link provided there to the product page on Yellow Bee’s site :-)
Hey! You'll find the answers you're looking for in the Humblebee & Me Encyclopedia at www.humblebeeandme.com/diy-encyclopedia. Simply look up Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSa) for substitutions and more. I also have an FAQ on surfactant substitutions. Happy making!
Hi Love your videos I have a question please suggest me actually my bath salt color gets faded in some time and i have tried food color and other colors as well So please help me out
Can you leave out the colloidal outmeal? For those of us that have an oat allergy and if so, how would this affect the rest of the ingredients? Thanks!
You never want to just delete something from a formulation as that throws off the % of everything else, but you could replace it with a fine-grain sea salt. Happy making!
Hi! So, there is no SLS in this formulation. I have literally never formulated with SLS.Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSa) is NOT SLS :) Learn more in the Humblebee & Me DIY Encyclopedia (www.humblebeeandme.com/diy-encyclopedia/)!
@@Lucien01316 I too am finding mixed information online about Polysorbate 80... really want to keep a natural, organic type line of ingredients that my customers don't have to worry about, nor I by listing its ingredient. Would also like to know/understand more about this from Marie.
@@dvddks Marie has a veritable dictionary section on her website dedicated to ingredients... it's awesome! :) If it is possible and (she knows about) she would list any kind substitutions you could make with a certain product if it was not an option to use. Polysorbate 80 is necessary ingredient if you want to prevent color/ mica rings in your tub. If going natural is your thing, you might want to take out the polysorbate and the coloring from the recipe altogether.

So many DIY cosmetics are much easier than we often think 😄 I remember being blown away the first time I made lotion-it was SO much easier than I thought it was!

Where did you find the cute jar?

I would love to see you make a lip plumper!
Hello. Is the product safe to inhale after the drying process?
Well... you aren't supposed to inhale it, and I wouldn't recommend it. It is, however, far less floaty when complete so you are unlikely to inhale it.
Do you sell this?
Hi Marie, we don't have SLSA in our country. Can you recommend a good substitute for this? Thank you

Hi
Love your videos
I have a question please suggest me actually my bath salt color gets faded in some time and i have tried food color and other colors as well
So please help me out
Have you tried the sort of colour I use in this formulation? ;)
Hey Marie, I like it. Bath salts with lavrnder make a very soothing after run bath. Did you turn yourself into a purple smurf figuring this out?
I did not, hahaha-I learned the "whoa that dye is potent" lesson with some body washes 😂
This may be a silly question, but does the scent of the lavender essential oil not fade during the 2-3 day drying time?
It will fade a bit, but you really need to let the salts dry so you don't end up with a bath brick.
If we do not use (color) dye, does it still need to sit out to dry?
Yes; the dye is dry ;)

Ohh thanks for the recipe...
Please, can you explain to me the fonction of Natrosorb and polysorbate 80 in the formula?
Please read the blog post & look up Polysorbate 80 in the Humblebee & Me DIY Encyclopedia (www.humblebeeandme.com/diy-encyclopedia/) :) Happy making!
how much of this to add to the bath?
Hya could we change sls for some other ingredients???
