I can gladly report that I’ve made this formulation and it is delightful... talk about easy to make and makes my skin silky smooth!! Thanks so much Marie 💕
I have all the ingredients except for that new BB scent. Never used Epsom Salt in a scrub before. Looks really lovely 😍. A definite must try. Thanks for sharing.
Marie - perfect timing! I had a shop bought similar product that I had just finished and was about to look at making something similar so thank you so much for this formulation.
I love everything you do!!!💙 I’m taking the skincare for beginners. But I would love to know more about formulations to make my owns, that would be very fun.😃🥺🥰
You are so inspiring and I learn so much from you! I wanted to ask your take on keeping products preserved in miron glass? I saw your video on preservatives and why you think that's best! I've used alitura natruals and I absolutely loved my skin results. Wondering if there was a way I could make something similar, simple and perservative free in miron glass while being safe 😕😬🙃 thoughts ? Your take and knowledge would be super beneficial 🤗
Hi Logan! That would be a gigantic quagmire of "it depends". My understanding of the packaging is that it helps support longer shelf lives, but it isn't going to act as a preservative. One could honestly do an entire degree on this topic and still have plenty to learn. I highly recommend this two part series: www.botanicalformulations.com/blog/preserving-botanical-formulations-naturally-part-1?rq=preserving. Happy making!
I want to recommend you a body scrub product from the brand SABON. Salted body scrub with oil looks similar to this recipe! I hope it will help you in your cosmetic research.👏🏻👏🏻

Hi Marie😊 So it isn't necessary to dry it out before bottling it? Do you only dry it out if you're using bicarbonate of soda? Love and greetings from Pretoria, South Africa 😘
Could walnut oil work? Made a sugar scrub at Christmas and used walnut oil, but still have enough left to make this. Have all other ingredients, handily.

Himalayan salt is almost entirely NaCl, just like table salt (~97%: www.mcgill.ca/oss/article/health-and-nutrition-quackery-you-asked/himalayan-pink-salt). There's no reason Himalayan salt would be inherently harsher than regular sea salt or table salt. Grain size definitely factors in, but that's true across all exfoliants. Happy making!
You'll find the answer to your question in the blog post that's linked in the description box below the video ;) If you're not sure what that means, read this: www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/whats-the-description-box-on-youtube/. Happy making!
Hi, I made a salt scrub using pink Himalayan salt, grapeseed oil, rose clay very little like 1% and neroli essential oil. I made it 1 to 1.5 months back and kept in room, not refridgerator. My place is really hot. Today when I opened to use it, its smelling bad/rancid also the texture has become so so sticky, it's like glue. I don't know what i did wrong. Or is it i received low quality or near expired grapes eed oil? Since you are so knowledgeable please help

I made it too, but I find the polysorbate 80 smells so strong. Do you find that too?
@@emilyv5366 not at all for me, I purchased my Poly 80 from natures garden.

I know this is an off-topic but I have found that adding some, about 1%, of
Isopropyl Myristate to a body scrub has a wonderful feel to your skin.
That's not off-topic at all! Thanks for the tip :)

I know the suggested range of use for Polysorbate 80 but how do you figure out what percentage of polysorbate 80 to use in a given formula? Thank you

Hi Marie😊

Love and greetings from Pretoria, South Africa 😘
This product won't dry out-it's a totally different product than bath salts, which I do leave to dry. Happy making!
@@HumblebeeAndMe got it. Thanks, Marie.
So what happens if we reduce the fractionated coconut oil and replaced it with traditional roasted coconut oil? 🤔
What is your favorite lavender fragrance oil
Can you use brown sugar instead of salt?
