Best sounding BOV isn't even the BOV making the sound, it's turbo flutter.
I had a Boomba in my WRX never made that noise at all maybe a few faint stututus but I’m running stock intake.
Sound so good I definitely need to order one. I need to get an ap to get an ots tune to vent to atmosphere because I’m currently on a bpv full recirc. Just wondering what rpm are you shifting at? Sounds like you’re wot and taking forever for the rpm’s to rise.

Hey man! Amazing vid! One question! The link to the bov is for the plumb back turbosmart but you have the dual port, so which is the right one to make those noises?.
I just put plate in between the BPV and intercooler. Flutter and never have to worry about a leaking BPV again.

If you take off the blow off and put a blank over the hole where it is installed you will get the stuustuu turbo flutter.
Stttuuuu at the end means spring is too strong and not blowing off the air, its being trapped and sent back into the turbo impella

I think its a combo of the valve and the turbo i have. I have the vf29 ball bearing turbo and i tightned the valve all the way do it only vents to atmosphere 😂😂
why run a bov? its not working anyways. thats why you get tghe flutter. it sends pressure back to the turbo

I've installed a turbosmart 5050, I've taken off the trumpet from the side of the valve and placed the cap over it, I'm getting that flutter sound, but I think it's because I've added a injen intake to it. my question is, with placing a cap we're the trumpet would go, does it mean it recirculate?
It wont recirculate unless you mount the factory elbow to it

Can anyone help please i brought a 2000 wrx bugeye and it came with a gfb dual port non adjustable full atmosphere venting blow off. The idle has always been sitting low at 500rpm and dosnt stumble or cut out just stays right on 500. Ive tryed everything to try bring the idle up new spark plugs new air filter cleaned the throttle body cleaned the mass sensor no vac leaks that i can find. And did a re set to the computer. And still stays at 500rpms dosnt move up or down drives fine and haven't noticed any problems just have to get the revs up when im on a hill so i dont stall. Could it be my blow off valve?
It very well could, stock WRXs come with a bypass valve which puts excess air back into the engine where as a BOV vents it out which is where that nice noise comes from and since the engine is expecting extra air it’s not getting, it will end up running rich and can result in low/poor idle but can also wear down your spark plugs and cats, so I recommend either putting the stock bypass valve back or getting it tuned for a blow off valve

Wrong on both accounts…. Blocking off the blow off/ reserc will push that air back into the turbo and give you the stuutttuuuu turbo flutter.
