The passenger compartment of the C-HR remained stable in the frontal offset test. Dummy readings indicated good protection of the
knees and femurs of the driver and passenger. Toyota showed that a similar level of protection would be provided to occupants of
different sizes and to those sat in different positions. In the full-width frontal impact, protection of the driver and rear passenger small
female dummies was good apart from the chest, protection of which was adequate. In both the side barrier test and the more severe side
pole impact, the C-HR scored maximum points, with good protection of all body regions. Likewise, for whiplash protection in the event of a
rear end collision, tests on the front seat and a geometric assessment of the rear seats indicated good protection. The C-HR has, as
standard equipment, Toyota Safety Sense, which includes the "Pre-Collision System". This autonomous emergency braking system
scored maximum points in tests of its performance at low, city speeds, with collisions being avoided at all test speeds
Comments - CHILD OCCUPANT
In the frontal offset test, dummy readings of neck tension in the 10 year dummy and chest deceleration in the 6 year dummy indicated a
marginal level of protection. Otherwise, protection was rated as adequate or good. In the side barrier test, maximum points were scored,
with good protection of all critical body regions. The front passenger airbag can be disabled to allow a rearward-facing child restraint to be
used in that seating position. Clear information is provided to the driver and the system was rewarded. All of the child restraints for which
the C-HR is designed could be properly installed and accommodated by the car, except in the rear centre seating position.
Comments - PEDESTRIAN PROTECTION
Tests of the protection offered by the bonnet to the head of a struck pedestrian showed good or adequate results in most locations. The
bumper provided good protection to pedestrians' legs at all test locations. Protection of the pelvis area was good in places but poor in
others. The Pre-Collision System includes pedestrian detection and the system, part of Toyota Safety Sense, showed good performance
in Euro NCAP's tests. At low speeds, collision with the pedestrian target was avoided in all test scenarios and, at higher speeds, the
impact was avoided or mitigated in most situations.
Comments - SAFETY ASSIST
Tests of the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (part of Toyota Safety Sense) at highway speeds revealed good performance.
When approaching a slower-moving car, collision was avoided at all test speeds. Approaching a stationary car, or a decelerating car,
collision was avoided in most cases and mitigated in others. The C-HR also has, as standard, a lane assistance system, as is a seatbelt
reminder for the front and rear seating positions. A driver-set speed limiter is standard equipment and its score is included in this rating.
A camera-based speed limitation information function is available as an option as part of Toyota Safety Sense and the additional points
for this functionality are not included here.

My wife was in a horrific accident with her chr. A vehicle hit her on the passenger side while driving 120km. Her car flipped and landed on its side. She has come out unscathed, it's a miracle. This car saved her life!!! She actually wants another chr and I totally agree

@Jan Nowak due to regulations it is not allowed to drive 100mph (180 km/h) here, but I did it once in germany and noise is acceptable to me. Certainly at 60 mph it is fine. Ok my fathers audi q9 does a better job regarding noise, but is is way more expensive as well, also uses more fuel.
I love how safe this car is! I;ve been driving it for a week and I don't doubt how amazing it is!

My 2018 C-HR (XLE) was @ a complete stop on the freeway & was hit by a plumbing van going 45mph 😣 Was pleasantly surprised how little damage there was. Tail lights, bumpers, & ¼ panels had to be replaced.
No frame damage, pups were ok, & i walked away injury free 🙌🏼

The auto stop feature on this car is a life saver, I consider myself a good driver but there are times where I’m looking elsewhere and my car will auto brake if I get too close to another vehicle

The only thing that I dislike about this car is that I can't open the trunk from the inside or by key. The trunk itself is heavy to open, but I still love my C-HR. Super smooth

Had an accident not to long ago with my chr and the quick response of the air bags was surprising. I couldn’t recommended enough. To bad It’s totaled and can’t afford another one
My 2020 C-hr saved me from rear ending someone when they slammed their brakes. We were going 70 and it stopped with plenty of space between me and the other vehicle. Great Car👍

We bought a 2020. It's a good car. Comfortable on long drives. Reasonable on fuel. The smartphone conductivity is great. Small criticism: make the cruise control as smooth as Honda's. Stereo's sound is poor. A Costco shop will barely fit in the car the interior is small. Washing the car with all that edgey plastic and concave surfaces is a pain.

I love this beautiful car and Nissan-Juke.
I'm surprised how well this did. I thought it would do as well as a Honda HRV but its surprisingly durable. Toyota did a great job with structural reinforcement on this. I just wish it came in AWD and a more powerful and engine stock. It looks great lowered and is pretty attractive on the street.

Why does nobody ever mention the "self healing paint" future of the new 2022 C-HR 1.2 T Luxury CVT? Well, to my delightness I just discovered it! Last week I parked my brand new C-HR in the parking lot of a hospital. When I return to my car I made a horror discovery of a door that was slammed into the passenger side of my car! Fortunately, no dent, but a 20cm long scratch, deep enough to see the metal underneath at some areas.... I was devastated, the first installment just went off my bank account, with only 400km on the clock.... I could kill at that moment, but there was no way to know who was the culprit, because the parking on the passenger side was empty.... I was so disappointed, I did not want to look at the scratch for days... and this morning I wanted to show it to my friend, and to my shock there was NO sign of the scratch! NOTHING, not even the slightest hint of a mark! Yes, the 2022 C-HR repaired itself! Apparently the self healing future of the paint is triggered by sun, and it will repair small scratches for about six to eight years, before loosing the ability. I just LOVE my wonder car!

А я на такой катаюсь на гибридной , расход 5.5 литров по городу , система стабилизации на льду - вобще супер ! Развернуть машину в заносе не получится , очень старался,но не получилось.. а круиз с соблюдением дистанции- это чудо какое то , сама тормозит вплоть до остановки..и вобще очень даволен авто!!!

Wife had a seizure behind the wheel of our 18 CHR, 3 vehicles involved. She walked away with bruises from the seatbelt & airbags. Car was totaled, crushed to the firewall.
