Could this be done with a Lincoln tombstone and 5000 watt generator? I have a much smaller project requiring this same weld and material in a some what remote location. Thank if you have the time,it's great watching master craftsman work.
I'm impressed, those welds look great, especially given the complexity of an ever changing angle. Welding two plats on a flat surface is one thing, this is far different. I hope I can lay down welds that look that good when I build my own fence like this. Unfortunately, I don't have "too much money" so I won't be able to pay you to do mine!
You are using 6010 right? I noticed the fast freeze characteristic of the weld puddle making it an excellent choice for the job. Great work by the way, I admire your ability to weld very impressive!
Somehow brother I just found this one. Great video I love the idea for roadside fencing. Stay safe out there, I hear that the work is coming back here soon.
thats really not a bad idea,I thought of doing the same thing. i got a miller ac/dc 225 thunderbolt with a very long cable135ft (8-3) and about 40ft ground and 50 ft stinger, both 2-0 cable, all i need is a good generator
i got a truck all i need is a portable welder, but the portable welders are sooooo freaking expensive. ive thought about maybe buying a generator and hooking up a stick welder but it might look a bit tacky :/
im not sure, i guess it would depend on the size welding machine and the type welding, im thinking for my machine i would want at least a 3000 to 4000 watt 10 or 12 hp that way i have 220v and 110 both for a grinder or a 110v wire welder. 5000 watt would be tops.
All rods can be "dragged" including 6010/11 it really depends on your ability, heat, speed etc just like any weld, but 6010/11 is usually done with "whip", 7018 usually movement but no "whipping" out of the puddle....
Hello, I enjoyed your video.. I am new to welding and I noticed you constantly touch the electrode, the workpiece , etc. Where do you have your ground clamp? I was always careful not to touch the workpiece or electrode, but watching your video is all the contrary.. can you comment on this? Should I clamp the table that I am welding on ? is it safer than clamping the work piece? I am not too clear on this subject.. thanks
People are still commenting on this lol. It's not as strong as a solid piece of stainless steel forged into the shape of a fence panel either... yet here we are. It's strong enough for a fence, more cost effective/labor effective. I'm in the business of making money efficiently.. forgive me in trying share my experience, with newer people so they don't waste their time.
My old fence welding video just broke 100,000 views today! Thank you to everyone who helped make that possible!
Love your videos. In this case it's useful to me to see how a welder of your high skill level works on more ordinary stuff. Thanks for posting.

I love the smell of 6010 in the morning!
I struggle with welding than I do up hill. Good job and great video
Hey what size pipe are the vertical post?
You can almost hear and feel them D/C sets,. very smooth welds,. sorted the ARC blow out, top welder!

i would love to do this type of work. do you have any suggestions on how to get on jobs like these?
what size pipe are you using? verticals and horizontals?
ive been looking at the lincoln ranger 8.....what do you think about it?
thats one hell of a fence
No job too big or small, we'll weld them all! :D
what do u think if i where to use the outback 145 engine driven welder from lincoln?
what would be a decent generator to weld on?
did u build this fence? if so how did u drive in the posts?
There is nothing as good as welding outside. is that you welding azazel?
For how long you been a welder? great skills
r.i.p. eyes of people driving by watching him weld
Actually it will be more of a nuisance than any harm
Passing drivers are okay, just distracted, perhaps. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inverse-square_law
Their own fault. Their concentration should be what's on and near the road.
😆😆😆😆
nice how much do you charge
dude your welder as a fucking beast welding downhill. i want you to tell him i said that too lol
tell me why you are welding from top to bottom?
ur pretty good, wish i can weld like this that wont stick to the pipe using e7018
What rods are you using? And what rods do you use on the pipeline?
I'm starting a job on a ranch doing this any tips
Was this up in Fort St. John?
what rod are you using?

Good way to work between pipeline jobs.
Whatcha fencing in?..... Elephants
What rod you using
Love welding
Lol it would be funny if the guy came and said "but wait theres more!"

I guess that fence is made to keep the vehicles from crashing into his property?

I bet and would love to see that. : )
My only grip is no heatshield for the drivers is I believe is standard in welding.
You need to fabricate an Acetylene cannon. A piece of pipe, a tennis ball and some Acetylene and the ball goes out of sight bro. : )
You are damn lucky that you are from Kansas. Otherwise I'd be super pissed.
sest un bonne entrainement pour garder la d exteriter
Sorry, what is happening at 1:20?
Were you about to burn through?
Too late. I'm already RAGING.
whats the thickness of the pipe? gauge?
Did you just drag the rod?
love watching
why are you welding pipe downhill instead of up? looks windy..
I THINK I GOT A FLASH BURN WATCHING THAT'. SHIT. IS THAT MIG WELDING?
Dan DiRocco no this is stick welding
good training :)
Looks like Lincoln 6010 5p +++++
How the hell is he holding the rod doesn't he feel the heat
cool
Thanks
I would of used innershield in a mig for that job, would of been a piece of cake.. All that stick welding would of been tideous.
+Joe Andaya This man is a big time rig welder wth would he touch a mig machine lol
mig for the girls, arc for the men.
mig isn't as strong of a weld.

Why don't you move to Kansas, and be our welder out at the ranch. We can pay you roughly 5% of your current wages.
If that's the case, we will only pay you in MREs.
Saw the whole thing now im blind
good jb
Fortunately for you, I can blame that on Gonorrhea.
If said person truly had "too much money" I would have just watched a video of a skilled tradesman welding titanium tubing with a TIG. FAIL.
One less than three.
Аs!
what rod are you using?
+Tage Okeson you use a 6010 for the first pass and cap with a 7018 for pipe fences. and it looks like an 1/8" rod
+Nathan Berman cool thanks im getting a job building a coral for my dads friend this summer and i was wondering.
6010 or 6011 would be my choice 1/8 “
what rods are you using
Cliff Le
7018
