Thinking about going into welding I completed a vocational certificate in high school and I loved it. Would you recommend it as career path? Also where was this video filmed?
    Thanks!

I took welding to get of doing work like this. They may pay more but the stress and possible injuries that can come from this job are too much! I'll just stick to a fab shop.

Hey, awesome video man. love the snow! Im living in New Jersey at the moment and looking to get into the field. Im getting impatient because, there arent to many entry level welding positions available willing to train like I have seen in other states. On the job training is the route i want to take. The few that I found I applied for but never heard anything back, surprise surprise! So, I've been looking into some training courses offered at the local colleges, but they are either full at the moment, or are out of my budget. I recently found out about shipyard apprenticeships for a few companies with several loacations in the US. (Huntington Ingalls Ship Building) (BAE Systems) and (Navy Sea System Command). They supposedly have some very good programs. Long story short, is there any sound advice you can offer me that you have learned along the way? Any good alternatives? What path did you take when you started out? Also, what are some good paths to take after any training I've received? I love the travelling aspect it can provide, and have heard you can make better money if willing to do so.

Great video bud. I love watching field repairs. If you or anyone out there can help I would truly appreciate it. How does a self employed welder get his veers signed off on? I'm a hobby welder who after a few years of practice live to weld and Thoth why not do what I love so I want to start a mobile repair service but can't find any info on getting my veers signed off as a small business owner. If you work for someone I understand they simply sign off for you and your cert goes for an extra 6 months but I can't see spending over a thousand every six months to have my 3G 4g plate and my 6g pipe certs up to date by retesting. Any help with this would be awesome. Thanks Phil
