    Great video. Very basic for those of us who have never even seen a weld symbol before. Every question that popped into my head was answered within the next 30 seconds of watching. Thank you!

    Very clear and precise - thanks! Though I can't imagine a more complex way of describing pitch! Measuring from the start of the weld to the start of the next weld is EXACTLY the same as measuring from middle to middle but requires no math.

    Measuring from the centers of intermittent welds always seemed over-complicated to me... Is there a reason that it can't be measured from start of weld to start of weld? It would be the same dimension...(?)

    • @BuenomusPrime
      @BuenomusPrime  6 місяців тому +1

      This is a great question. Another viewer made a comment about this as well. In theory, you can measure from the start of your weld, but there's gray area in that. I've always been taught to specifically measure from center to center. The gray area that I mentioned is in regard to crater size. I've been told, but have not seen it in writing yet, that some inspectors do/do not take crater size into consideration for weld length; but like I said it's something I've been told, I haven't experienced this myself so I can't say for sure. So, I just continue to keep it to center-to-center.
