@28:44 Perfection! Love your videos and yes, the music does add quite a bit - been learning a lot from your editing - you both should be so proud of all the work you've accomplished in the last 4-5 years, it's pretty amazing🤗
As always wouldn’t have missed the chance to see Katie handling 3/4 inch sheets of plywood better than I did haha 😂. Great job and positive it will look great 👍 glad you’re healing well Greg. Thanks for your great Chanel can’t wait for the next episode. 👍👍❤❤❤❤
Well placed and level deck floor. Have to do the jig on floor to see if it will stand up. The dogs now have a place to crash and wait 'till the goats find out what a nice new hide out.The farm animals will love you for such a nice deck out of the hot sun.
to make the peeling of the sauna tubes easier, next time, wipe or spray, some vegi oil on the inside, just before pouring the concrete. Also, a knotted wire brush helps to take the paper off that does stick. The addition is gonna be awesome!
Greg the best thing for safely working with rotary tools is watch for loose clothing and hanging strings or ties. Just always work and prep for safety. 🙏🏼. Great you’re healing fast.
It's amazing to look at your building projects and know that 2 young people have accomplished it. Your skill set has grown from build to build. As usual I can't wait to see it done. I want to see the finished home. I'm very spoiled from watching cable TV where the complete finish is done in an hour. 😅 Not real life. Be safe heal up carefully. 🥹
Hello Karie and Greg. He says he's not over doing it, but I would disagree, but it's not my injury. Your weeks seem like my days. Using screws for the shirting will make it easier to remove when the plywood needs to be replaced. Have good days!
I think y'all have been doing a great job. Life is all about living and learning. I am 68 and I will disappear when a shovel comes out of the tool room myself. Lol Stay safe and have a blessed life.
Glad to see you are healing well. It could have taken much longer and been more painful. Building is getting easier isn't it? Good progress and nice shade. I'm sure that when you ordered the new grinder you went for the M18 Fuel. Any of their rotating tools are best ordered in the Fuel line. There is a huge difference in the circular saw in the speed it runs at. Waiting for the next installment. Take care, have fun, jack
I can remember the pictures of your very first post o pillars like this, and now you have some more! Except now you have a “one-armed-bandit” on staff! I guess operation machines is one small possibility (with hopefully amazing results! Keep on building: never give up!
Hi both, Greg I’m glad you’re healing well. Katie you are marvellous there’s not too many ladies that would get stuck into building the sub floor and floor as you did you well done I bet you’ll be doing some stud walls next and standing them up before you get on with doing the roof. You are one in a million Greg is a very lucky man don’t let him forget that.😂😂😂😂😂😂 till the mid week video bye. ❤xx
If you don't want to use a grinder anymore , maybe you could try out a handheld " Bandsaw " . It probably doesn't do some jobs a Grinder does but it can cut through Rebar pretty slick . Don't overdo the arm because even though you don't feel any pain , it could still be doing other damage ! Happy Trails from Eastern Canada to Western Canada . ✌ out .L8R
Wasn't sure how big that addition would be by the looks of the cement pillars but as the video progressed it started to really look like something huge. That's where our imagination kicks in. Something from an idea in our brain brought forth into reality. How cool is that!!! So is this an enclosure or a normal roofed porch that you are building??? Only time will tell I guess. It did look very tidy as you were constructing it. Good on you guys!!! Me, southern AZ. (USA)
This extension is going to be brilliant... Looking forward to seeing the back of your cabin .. done! 😁 Sending good vibes from Mount Gambier in South Australia 🇦🇺
I am glad that Greg is improving, no pain in quite amazing! for what appeared to be a severe injury. The only thought I have is that regardless of no pain, lots of rest promotes healing~~💚 The addition will be nice!
If you coat the inside of the form with old motor oil with a soaked rag, removing forms is much easier. Oil will reject the water and gives a nice finish to the concrete at the form/concrete interface.
Hey Greg, take it easy and recover. I know that's hard as you and sweet Katie are go getters but heal first!!! Katie, darlin, you are a real force in the team. I am so proud of all you have done together!!! This old Texan salutes you!!!
For DIYers, you are doing a great job. You're encouraging me to build my own home here in a few years. It's getting more expensive to have it built by home builders. The problem is that I don't have a Katie to help. Keep it up guys.
So glad to see Greg healing so fast and with such a positive attitude! Things are looking great and seems to be coming together for you guys! I love your channel and what you are able to accomplish!!! You both are amazing!!!!
Love your channel. Happy to hear Greg is healing quickly. Getting started on the last side of your house before winter sets in must feel so satisfying. And I am a cat person, so I am wondering what your cat's name is.
Not only will it bugger up the glass but them sparks are dropping on top of your gas tank. But who are we to judge. We have all done some sketchy shit. You guy keep up the good work. You an inspiration to us all.
If you have some angst about using an angle grinder based on wheel explosions and possible injury, try using the metal diamond impregnated blades for metal cutting. They are a little slower but won't explode. They also last 50 times longer.
Great video today. Its been a while since you loaded a video working on completing your house.. i started watching your channel when you first started living in your house.. Thanks for sharing...
Your arm appears to be healing nicely Greg. Pleased you didn’t overextend yourself. The deck came out strong, sturdy, level, and beautiful. Great effort Katie,& Greg. Now kick back,& relax. See ya next time.💯👍🏾😀🫶🏾💜✝️🙏🏾🇺🇸
Greg you & Katie have done such a great job with building & looking after your homestead animals all happy 👍Work safe take care ❤ Keep up the great work !
After seeing the thumbnail with Greg showing off his bandages & watching that episode, I've subscribed & started over from the 1st episode. Glad to hear Greg's healing as Katie continues to stoke his fire...
Great work folks on your addition it will come in handy come winter and bonus room for your home. Nice to see Greg and you working on the various projects around the off grid home before winter hits. Nice to hear your doing well Greg with your injuries. All the best moving forward .
Greg, don't give up on angle grinders they are one of the most versatile machines you can have. Go get a new one, but leave the guard and handle on it and you'll be fine. A suggestion as to what happened might be that as mentioned below, loose clothing wass a problem, but also look after the wheels, particularly the fine cutting discs, don't just drop the grinder on the ground when you're finished cutting, let it run down to a stop and place it carefully. Dropping the grinder on it's disc can crack it and when you go to use it, it can explode (I think that's what happened, no?) or when cutting try keep the disc cutting in a straight line, don't twist it, that can make the disc shatter too. Good luck buddy, glad to hear you're on the mend and take care .. we want to see many more episodes from you guys, you're my favorite off-gridders. Cheers TJ
Great Work Katie and Greg, so pleased Greg your injuries are healing ❤️🩹 oh I now watch the Ads for the full 30 seconds as it helps you both. I love following your progress with all the projects. Seems your Dogs are the Supervisors always watching what you are doing. Hope you had a relaxing evening. Love ❤️ to you both from a very Wet Huddersfield England xxxxxx ❤️💙🔨🪚🛠️
Hi Katie and Greg. It's good to see that Greg is healing very quickly and having no problems. As long as he continues to not overdo it, he should be 100% in a few weeks. You guys made good progress getting it framed up and the subfloor attached. I smiled when I saw you at the 16:30 mark. I am also left handed and learned to do everything right handed first - as a result I'm also ambidextrous like you 😉 It's a joy watching you when you switch hands to drive a nail etc because it reminds me of how I frustrated my father when I would do it and make things easier, while he had to strugle with only being able to do things with one hand 🤪. Have a productive week, be safe, and I'll see you both on the next one. Larry, Central Valley, Ca.
I have used cut off wheels on a 4" grinder extensively as a tradesman and one day I had a grinder kick back on me and it cut an artery in my left wrist, shit happens as they say. Rebar is tempered and hard to cut with a sawzall.
@ 23:00 gotta love a girl who checks the crown of her floor joists ! Kudos

Old saying, Fail to Plan, Plan to Fail!
Plastic on the ground with a little sand to hold it down keeps moisture down and stops potential rot and warms the floor.

A grinder w/all attachments especially a variety of discs is very useful. Get another one. Use it wisely and carry on.

Katie showing off her ambidextrous hammering skills again! Great job you two! Looking great!👍🏻 Cheers from northern Minnesota!
I’m so happy you’re ok Greg, that was very scary and could’ve ended so badly. Very good to see you back at it.
I loved the ending with you two hanging out on the new "deck" in the shade with some ice cream. A well deserved rest!!
Katie and Gregg, I've watched y'all from the start and have enjoyed every episode. Thanks from Texas

That's right Kate, I don't blame you...screw shoveling dirt!!....lol😂 funny hearing Gregg fussing being all alone! Be safe ❤ love yall from Austin Tx!
This extension is going to be brilliant... Looking forward to seeing the back of your cabin .. done! 😁 Sending good vibes from Mount Gambier in South Australia 🇦🇺
Lubricate inside forms, cylinders, wood facing concrete. Maybe cheap cooking spray?
👋Katie & Greg! The extension is going to be wonderful! So excited for you to have more space!🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
Thank you 😊
Good time to clean all the construction garbage under the house.
Glad Greg is doing well, you really work away!!! You got a lot accomplished working well as a team!!
A very productive day for you pair of hard worker looking fabulous only the stairs and railings to go.
Huge fan of the Simpson Strong Tie post brackets as well. Keep up the good work, it's impressive.
I am glad that Greg is improving, no pain in quite amazing! for what appeared to be a severe injury. The only thought I have is that regardless of no pain, lots of rest promotes healing~~💚 The addition will be nice!
Smart Lady. I would find something else to do when the shovel came out.
Love your teamwork! I’ve done lots of building in my lifetime but usually alone.
Wow... when you move you MOVE... this was SO fast. Well Done !
Hello Greg & Katie,
I hope I have your names right. Anyway, I love watching you two work together. Thank You.
Don’t push to hard Greg. You don’t want to end up with a hernia if that injury doesn’t heal properly. Slow and steady.
Greg I am glad you are healing well enjoy you and Katie’s projects looking forward to next video.
Happy to hear your feeling good Greg ! Love your videos
Nice job as usual. Great you are recovering well - but don't push it 🤕
If you coat the inside of the form with old motor oil with a soaked rag, removing forms is much easier. Oil will reject the water and gives a nice finish to the concrete at the form/concrete interface.
The other thing you can do if you are burying the post that deep is leave the sonotube on.
Hey Greg, take it easy and recover. I know that's hard as you and sweet Katie are go getters but heal first!!! Katie, darlin, you are a real force in the team. I am so proud of all you have done together!!! This old Texan salutes you!!!

Lookin good yall. Just watch and be careful of old tools. That decking went well. Very much enjoy visiting with yall. Greetings from Texas.
Greg, you're healing really quickly. Great progress on the addition. Thanks for the episode.
God bless good job i'am happy you are ok gracias from puerto rico
Not only will it bugger up the glass but them sparks are dropping on top of your gas tank. But who are we to judge. We have all done some sketchy shit.
You guy keep up the good work. You an inspiration to us all.
Looks good just an fyi always leave it graded away from foundation for water drainage
If you have some angst about using an angle grinder based on wheel explosions and possible injury, try using the metal diamond impregnated blades for metal cutting. They are a little slower but won't explode. They also last 50 times longer.
He doesn't have anything against a grinder he said he threw his away because it didn't have a guard on it therefore he didn't have the right tool
Katie I never saw anyone hammer using left and right hand 🎉🎉🎉.
Greg you are so good with that tractor.
This is a huge compliment! Thank you!
Next time you use sonatubes for concrete spray the inside with furniture polish like pledge and the concrete wont stick to it on peel off.
Good idea, thanks
Katie works like a man and I've never heard her complain..... She has housework and laundry and cooking she does more than her share ......
Glad to see greg doing better and able to do more work on your house.
Wow!!! Congratulations you two rock 🎉🎉🎉

Love the ambidextrous hammering Katie!❤
If you spray the inside of those tubes with cooking spray they will come off easier
Alternatively, take a rag, some vegetable cooking oil, & wipe down the surface inside the Sono tube.
Looks good, nice job.
The floor looks great !!! You have accomplished so much !!!
You always kick butt on projects, amazing to watch
After seeing the thumbnail with Greg showing off his bandages & watching that episode, I've subscribed & started over from the 1st episode. Glad to hear Greg's healing as Katie continues to stoke his fire...

Thanks for sharing. Try the Milwaukee "torch" prevaricating saw blades for metal. They are amazing.
When two people work off of their skill set this happens. Great job guys. Peace.
