Of all the recipe sites here on the tube, her recipes are exactly what you see, and are so so good, fresh and simple!. I’ve been family cooking for 50 years. My favorite site, hands down.

      Zatar is better made from your own ingredients instead of buying from a bottle.

    With the za'tar it's like Sicily meets Siria. That said I would use two parts parsley and one part cilantro because of the za'tar. Sicily, because of it's location in the Mediterranean Sea had heavy influence from both North Africa and the Middle East. I have done this with arugula which I like even better. Add penchetta and a nice Pinot noir and crusty bread and you have got dinner

    This looks amazingly easy to make. Cant wait to try it. I need to order the Zatar seasoning from your website though with the olive oil. Until then, is there another season to use that will just as delicious? You make recipoes look so easy to make. My girlfriend is from Pakastan & I love to impress her with Mediterian food.

    Looks delicious my dear…. One question what is zaatar?? and what are the herbs in there???

    • @TheMediterraneanDish
      @TheMediterraneanDish  2 роки тому

      Za’atar is a middle eastern blend of herbs and spices: wild thyme, sumac, oregano, and toasted sesame. It is mostly used as a finishing seasoning but is also used in some cooking and dipping with olive oil. We sell the slice blend on our online shop

    How could you use zucchini and/or carrot noodles instead?

  • @JacquelineRPrice

    I made this but it came out extremely salty! If I make it again, I'll skip the salt each time I add more spinach to wilt. I found that when I added the cheese it tended to clump with the spinach so I ended up with spinach and cheese clumps throughout my pasta. I was a bit disappointed in this recipe. Normally, I love Suzy's stuff but this one, not so much.

      Did you add salt each time you added spinach? It sounds like that's what you did. That would definitely make it be very salt heavy. She just adds salt the first time.

    My dear countrywoman .....why don't you speak plain English without fooling around with the language ,In Arabic it is called DALAA it takes a lot away from your nice and beautiful presentations .Concentrate on your recipes and using the phrase YOU GUYS does not make you an American .This is not a criticism but a praise of your true Egyptian and other GREAT recipes.
