Beat Newcastle and Man U and were unlucky against Bournemouth with a sending off that was one of the worst VAR decisions yet. Enough there to suggest 13th or 14th. It really depends on the points deduction but I think if it's no more than 6 points, can definitely finish above the likes of Palace and Everton, maybe Brentford too once all our injured and AFCON players are back.
As a Chelsea fan I think getting into the conference will help the players grow coz we got such a young and big squad I think another competition with not that much pressure will help us identify who are the true gems and cultivate other players but that's my take
Same with Liverpool this season being in the Europa League, which has been beneficial for them. It's given new players minutes to get used to playing for Liverpool and what Klopp wants and the ability for Klopp to rotate his players.

Rory is pretty on what most Chelsea fans are thinking. Next year though, conference league will cost league spots you'd think but if we can get some of the new boys solidified and couple of older heads in, we should be set for a CL spot next year.

As a Chelsea fan if we quailfy for the conference league this season it might help the squad and new players get used to playing midweek. But then if we win the conference league next season it will definetly boost the squad morale. We all saw from the 1st quarter of the season (before their injury crisis) that Spurs have the best “starting eleven” in the Prem, and anyone who watched one of the most one-sided games in the league so far this year (Villa vs Spurs Reserves minus their shooting boots) would recognise that Villa are some way off the best 4 sides i.e. will ultimately be competing in that “second tier” (Utd, Newcastle, Brighton, West Ham) that goes from 5th place to 9th.
With the size of the squad and amount of youth players, Conference League would be amazing for Chelsea next season. It wouldn't have to affect their league form too much.
Conference league would be great for us. Not only does it allow us to build confidence. But it also allows up to build experience as a team considering they are all so young. Also gives us more games to put training into practice
Conference league football is the dream as a Chelsea fan. Provided it doesn't happen this year, we would have the opportunity to become the first ever club to win all European trophies if we win it. A chance to make history is worth far more than CL qualification for me

Chelsea fan. If we somehow beat Liverpool in the league cup or finish 7th, playing in the Conference League is still helpful because we really need to get our second XI of guys like Angelo, Paez, Moreira, Casadei, potentially DD Fofana some minutes. It would allow the club to get our injured players fit in games that aren't always a must win or where giving them minutes isn't detrimental, since an away fixture at Bodo Glimt isn't the same as an away fixture at Fulham (no offense to either club). Need to be able to develop the young talent we have without sending them out on loan until one of our loan clubs (or preferably several) are operating from a football standpoint the way the City Group is (like with Girona).
Tell Buvey that Szoboszlai has been injured for a month, Mac Allister was out for all of December, Robertson injured since October, Trent out now, Salah injured, no left backs at all for the last month, and still 5 points clear.

As a Chelsea fan I think UECL would be good for us next season as it gives more opportunities for young talent to be rotated in. It also gives quite a lot of early season matches that are fairly easy and should boost squad morale and give the strikers some confidence. I think if we somehow reached UEL though it may be detrimental as I dont think the players are ready for it. UECL should be a nice easing into europe for a lot of young players who havent experienced it whilst in a first team or even starting 11
As a Man City fan, would it be possible to get different representation for our club?? Steven McInerney (AKA Esteemed Kompany), CityXtra (the Football Content Award winner 3 years running), or even MCFC Lads (an up and coming fan channel) would all offer a more realistic and rational representation of who City fans are and what we feel, as well as insider insight from their club contacts and extensive research. FWIW I kinda like Buvey, he's entertaining for sure and probably the most famous City fan on YT to those outside of our fan base (which I totally get is what you're going for in this particular video), but he's often too hyperbolic and outspoken therefore doesn't offer rational and truly honest opinions that other City fans would.

Liverpool fan here - head says we win the title. Heart says we finish second. Which sounds weird, I know, but I'm also scarred from two title races where we did nothing wrong... and sadly Man City didn't either. I look at the team, and I struggle to find objective reasons why we'll drop off. We have the strongest squad in the league (as seen by just how much rotation we've done, whilst only losing one asterisked match); have the best defence in the league, and the best keeper. Our midfield is still learning to play with each other, yes - but on the other hand, they know how to play with each other better now than at any other time of the season. Up front, we have players that are very hard to keep quiet - and in Salah, Nunez, and Jota, we have players who are involved in more than one goal per game on average. We even have a strong spine of players and support staff who have won the biggest prizes club football have to offer, so we have the experience there to see us through. And of those who don't have that experience, many still have the experience of 2 years ago, when they provided the exact sort of winning run you need to end the season with. We also have Jürgen Klopp, whose ability to change a game with substitutions, tactical tweaks, and half-time team talks is second to none - in this era or any other. Yes, Pep's Man City are the best side the Premier League has ever seen, and I could give you 115 or more reasons why, but this Man City aren't as good as the ones we went toe to toe with but just came up short. They aren't better than the one we demolished when we won the league (it's just that we were so far ahead midway through that they knew they couldn't come back and win it, and performances suffered as a result). For me, they have the best starting XI in the league... but there are more holes than there have ever been before in the rest of the squad. But on the flip side... I've seen Liverpool clock up record points tallies when battling them... record tallies for finishing second. My heart is battered into submission, even when my head sees reason for optimism.
Rory has his head screwed on (apart from thinking Chelsea will beat Liverpool in the cup final) and is under no illusions of what the priority is. That's how a fan should be. People rarely remember league finishes unless you are champions but trophies stay in the mind. They add up. I don't like Chelsea but they know how to challenge for trophies no matter how big or small. Goldbridge has become more pragmatic in his old age and his prediction makes sense. Buvey is Buvey. He can't exactly say that City will not be champions because they are the only team who have the proof to back that up. Still, I think this season, even though Liverpool are in transition, the passion of seeing out Klopp's final season may be a big, big factor in pushing them over the line this time.
Bit of optimism verging into delusion from myself…😅 Hard to explain my reasoning without a lecture! I believe rhe goals are there just not structured properly in the first phase, if the rumoured CB & LB signings can arrive + the potential points deductions then it isn’t over.

Chelsea fan- yes it will help the growth as younger players can play conference games. Up to them quarters/semis it will be very average opposition so players like Maatsen casadei moreira etc get some more mins + it’s a European trophy + we can batter some bad teams for morale + it can help the team to gel. As a Chelsea fan if we quailfy for the conference league this season it might help the squad and new players get used to playing midweek. But then if we win the conference league next season it will definetly boost the squad morale. And if we win the carbao cup it wiĺl boost the squad morale and next season we might get back to the normal postition like 3rd,4th and 5th

We all saw from the 1st quarter of the season (before their injury crisis) that Spurs have the best “starting eleven” in the Prem, and anyone who watched one of the most one-sided games in the league so far this year (Villa vs Spurs Reserves minus their shooting boots) would recognise that Villa are some way off the best 4 sides i.e. will ultimately be competing in that “second tier” (Utd, Newcastle, Brighton, West Ham) that goes from 5th place to 9th.

With the size of the squad and amount of youth players, Conference League would be amazing for Chelsea next season. It wouldn't have to affect their league form too much.

Conference league would be great for us. Not only does it allow us to build confidence. But it also allows up to build experience as a team considering they are all so young. Also gives us more games to put training into practice

As a chelsea fan I think the conference league is good for the development of our squad and will give european experience to our young players. If our big squad can stay more fit , then we will certainly be able to handle multiple competitions next season. And the conference is a new trophy, I’d love to win it !!!

Chelsea fan. If we somehow beat Liverpool in the league cup or finish 7th, playing in the Conference League is still helpful because we really need to get our second XI of guys like Angelo, Paez, Moreira, Casadei, potentially DD Fofana some minutes. It would allow the club to get our injured players fit in games that aren't always a must win or where giving them minutes isn't detrimental, since an away fixture at Bodo Glimt isn't the same as an away fixture at Fulham (no offense to either club). Need to be able to develop the young talent we have without sending them out on loan until one of our loan clubs (or preferably several) are operating from a football standpoint the way the City Group is (like with Girona).
Tell Buvey that Szoboszlai has been injured for a month, Mac Allister was out for all of December, Robertson injured since October, Trent out now, Salah injured, no left backs at all for the last month, and still 5 points clear.

@@tdyerwestfield Every team has to deal with injuries. Plenty of teams have had more injuries than you. Its inevitable with the amount of games these days and the physical and mental stress put on players. You juts have to manage it. Liverpool's situation isn't any different to that of other teams.

As a Chelsea fan I think UECL would be good for us next season as it gives more opportunities for young talent to be rotated in. It also gives quite a lot of early season matches that are fairly easy and should boost squad morale and give the strikers some confidence. I think if we somehow reached UEL though it may be detrimental as I dont think the players are ready for it. UECL should be a nice easing into europe for a lot of young players who havent experienced it whilst in a first team or even starting 11

As a Man City fan, would it be possible to get different representation for our club?? Steven McInerney (AKA Esteemed Kompany), CityXtra (the Football Content Award winner 3 years running), or even MCFC Lads (an up and coming fan channel) would all offer a more realistic and rational representation of who City fans are and what we feel, as well as insider insight from their club contacts and extensive research.
FWIW I kinda like Buvey, he's entertaining for sure and probably the most famous City fan on YT to those outside of our fan base (which I totally get is what you're going for in this particular video), but he's often too hyperbolic and outspoken therefore doesn't offer rational and truly honest opinions that other City fans would.

Which sounds weird, I know, but I'm also scarred from two title races where we did nothing wrong... and sadly Man City didn't either.
I look at the team, and I struggle to find objective reasons why we'll drop off. We have the strongest squad in the league (as seen by just how much rotation we've done, whilst only losing one asterisked match); have the best defence in the league, and the best keeper. Our midfield is still learning to play with each other, yes - but on the other hand, they know how to play with each other better now than at any other time of the season. Up front, we have players that are very hard to keep quiet - and in Salah, Nunez, and Jota, we have players who are involved in more than one goal per game on average. We even have a strong spine of players and support staff who have won the biggest prizes club football have to offer, so we have the experience there to see us through. And of those who don't have that experience, many still have the experience of 2 years ago, when they provided the exact sort of winning run you need to end the season with. We also have Jürgen Klopp, whose ability to change a game with substitutions, tactical tweaks, and half-time team talks is second to none - in this era or any other.
Yes, Pep's Man City are the best side the Premier League has ever seen, and I could give you 115 or more reasons why, but this Man City aren't as good as the ones we went toe to toe with but just came up short. They aren't better than the one we demolished when we won the league (it's just that we were so far ahead midway through that they knew they couldn't come back and win it, and performances suffered as a result). For me, they have the best starting XI in the league... but there are more holes than there have ever been before in the rest of the squad.
But on the flip side... I've seen Liverpool clock up record points tallies when battling them... record tallies for finishing second. My heart is battered into submission, even when my head sees reason for optimism.

Arsenal and Aston Villa are more likely to not make top 4 than win the league.
Rory has his head screwed on (apart from thinking Chelsea will beat Liverpool in the cup final) and is under no illusions of what the priority is. That's how a fan should be. People rarely remember league finishes unless you are champions but trophies stay in the mind. They add up. I don't like Chelsea but they know how to challenge for trophies no matter how big or small.
Goldbridge has become more pragmatic in his old age and his prediction makes sense. Buvey is Buvey. He can't exactly say that City will not be champions because they are the only team who have the proof to back that up. Still, I think this season, even though Liverpool are in transition, the passion of seeing out Klopp's final season may be a big, big factor in pushing them over the line this time.

as a Newcastle fan, yes champions league still stings, but also have to move on. Have to agree with the predictions for the toon though, although my heart says we'll get 5th on goal difference, head says we'll still be top half but no higher than 8th.
Saddens me that United Stand are considered THE fan channel for us United fans. There's many better ones out there like Stretford Paddock (formerly Full-Time Devils) and United People's TV. Feels like more non-united fans follow United Stand while United fans actually follow other channels.

To answer the question about Newcastle and falling out of Europe, I'll admit it stings when my heart thinks about that bogus penalty against PSG, but my mind says that if we'd managed to stay in Europe whether it was Champions League or Europa League, our injuries would worsen and we'd have an ever more torrid time in the Premier League. Not to mention we probably would have less of a chance at winning or even challenging for the FA Cup. Still, howay the lads!

Chelsea fan- yes it will help the growth as younger players can play conference games. Up to them quarters/semis it will be very average opposition so players like Maatsen casadei moreira etc get some more mins + it’s a European trophy + we can batter some bad teams for morale + it can help the team to gel. So yes I will happily take conference or even happier a europa league spot (unlikely). Anyway UTC and hope we can beat LFC in carabao final but will be very tough.

Liverpool supporter here: I think those predictions were nearly all very realistic and credible. The one outlier for me is the delusional Spurs fan. Already beaten 5 times in the league, off the pace by 8 points, beaten in all cup competitions, and he thinks Spurs will put up a title challenge? Postecoglou seems to be a decent manager and maybe he will build a competitive side eventually. For this Spurs fan to say he is 'one of, if not the best manager in the league' is laughable. Spurs for second, he thinks: dream on .....
