If that were mine I'd be too excited to sleep the night before picking it up. It looks and sounds stunning. Bamford Rose have produced something very special and the owner must be delighted.
Beautiful car. I can completely understand why the owner would invest that kind of money in their baby. With that kind of use it’s part of the family 🙂 and cost is a secondary concern. I’d love to see you shoot an interview with the owner and perhaps some video of the car being driven
Superlative work clearly evident here. What a stunning machine! For my money, the V8 Vantage is the best looking car on the roads today- despite it's age. It's the only car I genuinely hanker after and look at on the road. I have two classic cars, which I have tentatively considered selling in order to fund a Vantage. The only reservation I have is based on the adage, "The definition of an optimist, is a man who thinks he can *just* afford to run an Aston Martin!" The cost of a replacement clutch, which I believe equates to £5k causes me a little concern.
Wow what an amazing project! I thought I put the miles on my Aston - this is a new level! The car is an absolute credit to its owner and BR. BRAVO! The only thing I’m surprised at is that he didn’t change the inlet manifold casting to the 4.7 one to reflect its new capacity!
Fantastic restoration pics - I know where I am bringing my V12V for its service!! Will probably pick an upgrade, like the idea of doing one a year. Do you guys offer anything in terms of updating the sat nav / adding compatibility with recent phones? How much would a typical re-spray be?
Hi. Sorry, we are grease monkeys and leave wires and Bluetooth and the like to infotainment folk 🤣 complete respray depends on level of finish desired, meaning is glass left in or taken out and what to do about door / bonnet and boot shuts. The pragmatic job would be £6-£8k, top quality £10
Not sure I would sink nearly £50k into my 4.3 but can understand why people would do it. That car looked truly stunning, love the Toro red and the stock look that was kept. I will continue slowly upgrading mine with some choice additions. I'm already running around 430 hp and now needing to consider suspension and some interior electronic updates.
@@8Ilikeicecream8 I had a twin plate clutch with lightened flywheel fitted... Best upgrade of them all really, very nice pedal feel and engine spins up a little better. Also had at the same time, 200 cell cats, GT4 air filters, remap. This wasn't done by BR but had I been closer it would have been however, I have a very good independent only a few miles from my house who writes their own maps etc. Very worth while doing, taken it to around 420/430 but mid range and throttle response much improved. Slightly noisier due to the cats and filters but you only really notice this when going for it otherwise remains civilised. Next will be suspension as I have some very small leaks on two shocks but I'm not sure which way to go on this yet. If I need the timing chest seal doing at some point in the future I will most likely get the manifolds changed for the uprated ones as I'm told these really make a difference with the other mods I've mentioned.
The interior the owner was happy to keep as is. The condition was ok, seat bolster a little worn. We painted piano black the door sills and door handles. I guess the current owner had worn the interior, and just like that old armchair which is moulded to your shape, he liked the interior left that same way
I’m not 100% if it was the original gearbox Pete, but it felt fine, no whining, the 6spd might be agricultural but it certainly is durable, especially in road cars 👍
Cylinder head inlet port, combustion chamber and exhaust port tuning, exhaust manifolds and high flow cats and ECU remap. Our Gt4 build dyno between 500-525

Car looked epic, Money well spent to pass car on to Children ❤
Bloody crazy, but mad respect to the owner.
Incredible transformation! I've always been a Porsche enthusiast, but since I started watching your videos, a V8 Vantage clouds my 911 skies😁
Owner’s wife : oh finally did you get car wash ? I told you it will be still nice like a new car.
I am speechless. What a transformation and a display of the high caliber and detailed work that the BR team deliver.
Well humble pie comes to mind, what a top quality restoration, credit where credits due🙂
Quality absolute quality, well done to all the team at Bamford Rose

What a truly STUNNING transformation!!! I almost wish I had the money!

Would love if you could interview the owner to share his story with the car! Talk about dedicated - car looks fantastic!
Love this. My aim is to do the same for a high miler that needs TLC!!!

Thanks Paul.
It did get a GT4 engine badge!
Really enjoyed this video and the transformation montage at the end. What a great car at the end of the process. And a real color too!
Thanks Steve! Almost as nice a colour as Merlot
I love this. Interested in the cost of the respray?
Exceptional.
stunning work, if I had the money......
A labour of love.
I would of loved to do a full leather interior restoration re-trim on this vantage.

Can't wait to get mine done
Beautiful, far better than the current Reichman disaster. I'd have this over his Vantage any day of the week.
Looking forward to this.

J, what upgrades have you done/ recommend, that work in real world .

at the end of the day its just money, its obviously sentimental, maybe planning on leaving to his son one day.
Respect this man
You did not mention what you did to the interior and at what cost?
Yeah I was waiting for the interior part too as an interior trimmer, I find Aston interior most pleasing.
The interior the owner was happy to keep as is. The condition was ok, seat bolster a little worn. We painted piano black the door sills and door handles. Err, “rebirthing” is the Aussie term for ringing a car 😉
🤣
I believe they also call flip flops "Thongs" .
After 185K miles did the gearbox need any work Mike?
I’m not 100% if it was the original gearbox Pete, but it felt fine, no whining, the 6spd might be agricultural but it certainly is durable, especially in road cars 👍
How much did he spend?
What happened to the engine
so how do you get 525hp out of a 4.7 stock
Cylinder head inlet port, combustion chamber and exhaust port tuning, exhaust manifolds and high flow cats and ECU remap. Our Gt4 build dyno between 500-525
🧐 superb
Thank you 🙏
Thats a savage job ! Well done chaps ! I’d love to know what that Cost. I’m guessing £35k
And some, awesome drivers car created for the spend though
