I had to create my own tennis court. At the moment, there are no default grass courts. It plays more like clay in terms of ball bounce. The tennis balls look small, old and worn out.
Is it better than topspin? I just got topspin and ita getting me Into tennis a little… I just wish you could swing with the right stick. Seems more like a swing to me than pressing a button
8:54 I kind of disagree if you lower the difficulty. My best serve there, especially on clay, is a flat serve aiming as close to the centre as possible. When you return, move closer to the middle of the court. I got done by one by someone who doesn't have high serving stats.
Which difficulty does that serve work well for you? I think I had a couple of aces like how you described on "medium", but on "hard" and "expert" CPU returns them very consistently.
Thank yoy for your guide! Can you please tell me when we should use the RB trigger modifier? Is if am not wrong, you are not talking about it Thank you!
That's an old guide made back in (I think) Early Access 5/6. Nowadays best way to serve is turning off the "serve timing indicator" cuz its more disruptive than helpful (terribly designed imo). Just turn it off and pay attention to ball toss. When the ball is at its apex and about to fall down, that's when you want to usually release shot button. Hope it helps!
If holding both triggers in better animation and results...there's a MASSIVE PROBLEM with the game play. One shouldn't have to cramp and hold two triggers for hours to have decent realistic animations and movements.
@@machetegaming i noticed. And then i noticed how ridiculously difficult the trainings are. I tried the precision training and hit 0/20 shots, so i lost a week.... 🙃
I haven't played AO2 in a while, but from what I remember, no, they feel quite different. Plenty of mechanics like shot timing, serving, and aiming work differently in TB.
Machete Gaming can you do a video about the PC vs Console ,i have received my Xbox copy of this game and i am finding the controls difficult. The game is very good one the best Tennis games i have every played and not just because of the game mechanics but the presentation and the whole package.
There is two more updates before official release and probably more after release,i am sure the serve is being looked at now to improve as on Steam forums it is the major complaint not having enough power to achieve aces with flat serve with present build.
100% serve accuracy is problematic. However I like that unlike topspin2k25 players don't get ridiculous advantages. However if someone has a serve at 100/100 they should get some advantages lol..
I don't think we have any specific info about contents of any future patches (just generic info like "gameplay improvements"). There will be at least two patches before the official launch, so hopefully in one of those.
What am I not getting with the mechanics? I can’t even hit the ball it’s extremely frustrating 🤦🏾♂️ So you can’t hit the ball without hitting L2 or R2 first? And when exactly are you supposed to tap L2 before you push X or O? In order to hit the ball and when are you supposed to aim so it can go in your desired direction? The controls are extremely frustrating and difficult for no reason! Why would they make a tennis game that you have to hop skip and jump just to HIT a ball? This is insane! 🤯 Had I known the gameplay would be this bad I would have saved my money! They don’t give you an option to turn the L2 R2 functions off and just play regular? The movement and ground strokes are so bad! It’s so flawed! Why sale such a bull 💩 game? Someone please break this down for me if I’m missing something but if not I’m about to seriously see about getting a refund! Worst game I ever played in my life 💯💯💯💯💯

Easiest, Easy and Medium
My most successful serves have been flat serves down the T
@@siucheongSame. I get beaten with the same serve at times.
Why My flatshots 80% left in the net????
Can you swing/shoot with the right stick?
I wish topspin let you do this instead of buttons. The serve feels much more natural
How to serve and volley or how to do approach shot?

When I serve the circle doesn’t go around the ball so I can’t serve except for under arm

maybe they want to mimmick us holding a racquet with both hands:P
Go options and turn on auto speed
Great guide
I'm in the semi-finals of a tournament...have 2 skill points available, i can't assign them... Do i have to wait until the tournament is over?
You will have to schedule "training" in weekly planner and complete trainings. So yes, you need to wait until the tourney is over

Would you consider TB game mechanics similar to AO2? I’ve recently started playing it being tired of TP2k25 and was wondering if they are similar

Bro how is current status of game?
I have recently dropped a video discussing precisely that so check it out.

I don't have an Xbox so can't do.
What are the problems you're having? Maybe I can help through comments at least?
How big is the game in the storage space?
It's 32GB for me.
@@machetegaming thanks 👍

Serve must be a tricky area to balance for devs in Tennis games. Topspin is indeed the opposite of Tiebreak in this sense 😅
I’m pretty decent at serving in topsin… I just wish you could swing with the right stick as well
When they add ballboys and linesmen?
I don't think we have any specific info about contents of any future patches (just generic info like "gameplay improvements").

Won’t add linesman because all courts are going electronic in 2025.
Soooo why is the indian wells court blue? They gonna ajust it i hope. I'm kind of exited for this game!
The running looks weird

Players look like ballerines playing tennis. Another failure
This looks so bad. What a waste of licensing. Should of gave it to 2K. The running is bad.
