  • There have been multiple iterations of the Star Trek USS Enterprise, each of which has had its own distinctive appearance and set of specs; yet, no matter what, it has always been the flagship of the Federation. The Enterprise has a long and illustrious history within the Star Trek series, spanning back to its debut in Star Trek: The Original Series. Throughout its existence, the Enterprise has consistently remained at the forefront of space exploration operations. In the Star Trek universe, the Enterprise has been a symbol of diplomacy, heroism, and exploration throughout its history. Each version of the Enterprise has played a key role in the missions and adventures of its different captains, thereby establishing the ship's legacy as a symbol of these qualities.

    Nice job on the visual side… But let down by being spiced with lots of factual errors and a semi-lame AI voiceover.

    There was a serious mistake about the Ambassador Class U.S.S. Enterprise NCC.-1701-C she was infact a far superior ship to the Romulan ships that attacked Nerendra 3 she was faster and more manuverable and she was more powerful weapons wise the only problem she had was her computer systems as her component systems were built based on the outdated duotronic computer systems and her computer systems were then redesigned based on duotronics and the newly developed Isolinear computer systems which hadn't even gone past the prototype stages yet and the Ambassador Class was rushed into full production before these design flaws were worked out and their computer systems were built as a hybridazation of both duotronics and Isolinear technologies and it was after the Enterprise C's destruction that the Starfleet council found about it after a thorough investigation led by the newly promoted Admiral John Harriman.

      How did an attack by Romulons destroying the flagship not start a war? And how did Romulons attacking a Clingon outpost cause a 22 year long war between the Clingons and Federation???

    think small mistake on the Enterprise-D & E graphic..it does not have a top speed of Warp12 (due to that series starting the Warp 10 threshold (and the Enterprise-F also doesn't get to Warp 10)

      I initially assumed they typed it out in the the old warp scale, but then the speeds got slower again... so I think the author just messed up the max speeds.

    This is a nice video, but i think you need to go do some more research on it. You have all the max warp speeds wrong starting from the Original Enterprise. I believe the original Enterprise had a max speed of warp 7. Also the warp speed scale doesnt go beyond Warp 9.99975, if you go to warp 10 you will be traveling at infinite velocity. This is a nice video though, good work.

    Wrong Enterprise C, it should be the Andrew Probert one. The Sternbach one should be retro labled Diplomat Class, built about 10 years before the Ambassador Class, being the first large capital vessel as the Federation grew.

    USS Enterprise video, second ship shown is the Discovery lol The Enterprise was not the flagship when it was the A or G. Enterprise was never a movie. The only time the NX-01 was seen on the big screen was 8 years after it was canceled in Into Darkness as a model. It also wasn't decommissioned for the reason you gave. None of the Enterprises could reach warp 10 with the exception of the J. This is even allowing for the change in the warp scale from the 23rd to 24th centuries and likely again into the 25th century. All and all, good video and clearly hard work went into it.

      I'm right there with you on pretty much all these points except for one:while Enterprises A and G may not have been the official Canon Federation flagships per se,its well understood that they are the symbolic flagship of the Federation,not necessarily because they were the most advanced and powerful ships in the fleet,but because of what they stood for:an unprecedented experiment in interstellar cooperative democracy, scientific research,exploration, diplomatic and defensive endeavors that constantly challenged the frontiers and pushing deeper into the unknown

    The warp speeds are based on the old scale but the new scale was introduced in Star Trek the motion picture because ships were getting faster. Also the Enterprise E had a slower max warp than D. But that was compensated by the efficiency of the warp engines and redesign of the warp coils in response to the damage warp drive was doing to subspace. It’s all explained in TNG S7E9 Force Of Nature

    • @spark300c
      @spark300c 3 місяці тому +1

    • @charleskroman5006

      You have to look at the text commentary of TMP when Spock gets the warp drive working again. They explain that warp 1 is the speed of light 2 is 8 times the SOL 3 is 27 SOL and so on. It’s all done mathematically. 1 to the 3rd power 2 to the 3rd power 2x2x2=8. 3 to the 3rd power 3x3x3=8 and so on warp 10 is 1000 times the SOL. ST:V continued using that scale. At warp 9.975 maximum would take about 75 years to go 70,000 light years

    • @jtenorj
      @jtenorj 2 місяці тому

      @@charleskroman5006 Maybe you can point me to something more official, but I believe Voyager kept the same scale as TNG. While the Enterprise D could reach speeds as high as Warp 9.6, it could only do so for a limited amount of time. In the Galaxy class design phase, they were originally meant to be able to cruise at up to Warp 6 until fuel exhaustion, but that spec was increased to Warp factor 8(which is just over 1000c in the TNG scale). Voyager could hit a max speed of Warp 9.975, but I believe it was subject to the same limitation as the Galaxy class regarding max cruise speed until fuel is spent:Warp 8 aka 1000c. Since they were 70,000 light years from Earth, it makes sense that at the max cruise velocity of Warp 8 or 1000c it would take at least 70 years to get home(longer in fact when needing to occasionally stop for refuel, resupply and repairs).

    • @charleskroman5006

      @@jtenorjVoyager and Enterprise did use the same scale but as I indicated before the new scale was introduced in The Motion Picture during the warp 7 scene. I found a video called “Star Trek TMP warp 7 text commentary”. I regret my typo about the scale. I said warp 3 was 8 times the speed of light when I meant to say 27 times the speed of light (3x3x3=27). 3 to the third power. Warp 4 is 64 times the speed of light (4x4x4=64). (5x5x5=125). (6x6x6=216). (7x7x7=343) and so on
