👍I've had an, old timer propane tank filler guy, tell me to turn the tank upside down and rock it back and forth several times. He claimed that this would release a stuck valve, sometimes caused by some idiot over filling a tank. 🤔 Hey I'm 68 & was taught to, 'listen' to my elders 😁 I have used the trick several times and it seems to work. For what ever reason that it happened. I have hauled them in the heat for a few hours after getting them filled. 🍀🙋🤷 Thanks for the info!
After watching several videos about "propane lockout" this one is the only one that worked for me. The statement about leaving the hose attached made all the difference. Thanks so much for the clarity & conciseness regarding this issue. Just had my first hot dinner in a week of traveling across the country. My dog appreciates his hot chicken breakfasts & pork chop/rice pilaf hot dinners.
Thanks for this tip! I have dual 20lb tanks that I took on a trip to Santa Fe forest. They are mounted outside on our popup so no protection. They worked great the first half of the trip, but one night the temps dropped to 15 degrees and the propane was just trickling out. Furnace barely worked, and the stovetop barely lit up. I don't know if it was the cold, the 8500' elevation, or both combined? But at least I know how to check the valve for next time.
I did not know this, but I know it will come in handy. I converted an old propane tank I found into a mini-cook stove. I really had to ensure it was empty before I unscrewed the valve, so I didn’t launch when I put the angle grinder to it.
Oh boy kind of important, lauching and propane tank not so goodlol I bet that the stove turned out pretty good. I've never seen one like that. Take care!🐾✌️
My friend, I'm so sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Things have been a little hectic. The next video will explain what's been happening. So are you getting prepared for winter? The last place i was in started getting mighty chilly in the evening and I guess Flagstaff Arizona had some snow over night. Looking forward to your next video, you put out some really informative information as well! Take care my friend and stay safe!🐾✌️
You are very welcome. I thought I'd make a video about it since it seems like so many people are running into this issue this year. Take care and thank you!🐾✌️
I just found your channel. Thanks for the good info. Im a new sub. I just left the ShowLow area. Did I see your rig in the NF? We were camping there. Happy travels. 😊🌻
Hi Kamping Katie! Very nice to meet you. I haven't been over to the showlow area this year but keep looking if your headed to Quartzsite this year I'll be there and possibly a meet up this winter. Thank you for leaving a comment and your support! Take care 🐾✌️
You sure have that right just arrived was up north and it was getting mighty chilly at night I think it would have been better to wait a month. Take care!🐾✌️
Hey brother how ya doing up there. I went up into that area looking for a place I gave up but on the way back into King you speed by on your motorcycle I was going to turn around and see if I could catch up but that wouldn't have happened, lol see you soon! FYI it's to hot here still.🐾✌️
Yep same principle. Just needs to be burped, lol The regulator just needs to be reset. Take care and thank you for leaving a comment and your support! 🐾✌️
Nice to meet you Nomad Firekeeper! That's pretty observant, it's an old propane hose I carry with me to use in situations like this. This year has been especially bad when it comes to propane tanks needing purged. Your absolutely correct . Using a line with hose clamps on it is just asking for the worst things to happen. Take care 🐾✌️

Great fix demonstration. I was afraid to use a bigger tank, ut so helpful to see the built in safety features. Thanks Denis!
Your are very welcome. It seems like almost everyone I was running into this year had this problem. I'm happy you found this useful. Take care!🐾✌️
See you soon.
👋👋
Hey brother, I hope all is going well for ya, are you headed to the desert this year? 🐾✌️
That was just what I needed! I have a tank acting up and I need it now before heading down south. Thank you.

Why do you have hose clamps on your propane hose. That's plum scary (-:

I just use my big tank for refilling the little bottles. Show how to bleed the excessive pressure off of them.
