  • Stone pier fishing for big conger eels and how to tie beach fishing rigs. With some float fishing for Pike also thrown in! In his one-man battle against the lockdown boredom, Graeme piles into another bunch of saved clips for you to pass another hour. This one is well worth a watch all the way through as it is loaded with plenty of Totally Awesome fishing tips that could turn your trip around. First its a session after big shore Conger Eels, then it's a triple instructional with Tony Kirrage from Eastbourne talking about 3 of his top Plaice rigs. Followed by Graeme's tip on a couple of basic fishing knots for beginners, the blood knot and the tucked blood knot. Finally he shows the technique of twitching deadbaits for Pike and Mike gets in on the action with a clonker. Sit back and enjoy, it's almost as good as going fishing yourself...Well almost...

    It was your old conger videos that brought me to your channel (along with sea fishing for beginners etc), it's your genuine passion for all things fishing that's kept me coming back year after year after year!... AND those conger videos equipment me to catch my best ever harbour conger and one or two others since. Much appreciated, keep safe and keep up the great work! 👍

    These videos bring great entertainment into our homes so much better than tv. All beautifully filmed and as always packed with tips. Nice video of Tony he has not changed a lot, possibly the most friendly tackle shop owner in England, always takes his time with customers and terrific knowledge. Nice to see the old pike footage, don't remember seeing this before. Thanks as always for taking the trouble to edit and put videos up for our enjoyment.

      Pleased to be of assistance and the main reason I do the films is to pass on bits and bobs of information that have basically cluttered my brain for the (almost 3 score years and 10) The fact that the films have apparently helped some others through some difficult periods in their lives is a massive bonus which does in fact keep my own mind in some sort of balance....more films to come .......What else would I do ??? There's nothing on telly to interest me except for the weather forecast.

    The pike float rig also works here in Oz for tailor, trevally, mackeral, mulloway and tuna. When using it I tend to run about 6 feet between the float and bait. This rig is easily scaled up or down depending on what you're likely to run into. 6/0 hook and a 10 inch mullet for cobia and such or down to a #2 with 3 inch herring for smaller trevally, bream or mangrove jack. Rigging a squid this way is killer. It's fun seeing tactics used here work for species on the other side of the world.

    • @TAFishing
      @TAFishing  3 роки тому +1

      The boat is anchored so only the tide affects where your bait goes. You lower it down off the stern,the lead hits the seabed and you are fishing. Uptiding is casting away from the side of the boat rather than just dropping straight over the stern. Hope that helps. I'm sure we have a film up on our playlist featuring uptiding. We did one some months ago with Tommo,the skipper of "Lorna Doone" out of Watchet Marina,Somerset. I think we featured it on that film.
