Honestly, those "games" really just remind me of cryptojacking programs. I mean: -They usually run in the background, taking a lot from your computer's performance -They generate some sort of income for their creators -They literally have nothing to offer in exchange for you (apart from those shitty auras) etc. The only real difference here is that people are allowing those programs to run in the background, while with cryptojacking you have no idea of such program being on your device. It does makes me wonder, if someone was to make a cryptojackng malware, which upon being installed on a device would steal a lot of resources from it in exchange for showing a bunch of worthless lights on your monitor, would people genuetly download it?
Dont give them any ideas. I personally think it would work. Add a leaderboard, some minigames to do or ads to watch while waiting to minimally increase luck, then watch as people compete over a title that is literally pointless while you swim in all your free money.

As a developer myself, just having 0.1% of sol’s rng’s player count would’ve been the biggest motivation to continue working and having a chance of making your dream come true. I mean it, even having just 150 players playing a game YOU made would be absolutly mindblowing and is a dream i hope to achieve

Just wanted to leave this here for future people to see, and a message for eclipse, I was once, a person who plays games like these, including dusty trip and other simulator games, Young and not aware. But in that time when people play that stuff, they see roblox as another type of gaming platform, a platform that they think wouldn't need complex things and just simple structured games, like sol's rng, all you do is just roll... That's it, Not much creativity so that they can pull in players, but later on, After i saw Eclipse's video, I became aware, These people are using us like tools to make their money, not caring for much about the players, That is not good behaviour. Eclipse, I would wanna thank you for helping me for this, I realized i was just... wasting my time, We SHOULDN'T let people make fools of us, These people are making tons of money, with making ideas that are not creative and flat out just sometimes cash grabs, If you don't put in the effort in a project or love for the players, I don't think you deserve that money, So we shouldn't give it. When you see a criticism from eclipse, Try to be nice and actually try to understand him, He is a FULL grown adult that knows something, These games are wasting our time, and their devs don't deserve the robux they're getting, even thought they're bad, We shouldn't hate or disrespect them, We must be better. Last year in October, I decided to create a game called “Shouting Simulator RNG” (a remake of Shouting Simulator by Paragon comibned with old RNG game mechanics, such as RNG difficulty chart obby, which just included the randomness aspect). I’ve made quite a few Shouting Simulator remakes before so I thought of something new and decided to make it my new game. The development took quite a long time (because of big breaks) and the game officially released in early February. A few days later I found out that there’s a new trend with a different view of the RNG aspect (getting auras), started by Sol’s RNG. It was a clear coincidence and at first I was glad because the game was doing better than it wouldn’t do if the trend didn’t exist. Sadly I started noticing the game suddenly recieving insane amounts of dislikes, which made me quite confused and I quickly reminded myself of my friend who made “RNG Legends” (which was a game in-dev since November) had a similar problem, related to Sol’s RNG players mass disliking all other games with just “RNG” in it’s name before even playing it. Since my game was one of the first games made in 2024 which had “RNG” their name, it also have been targeted, when it was clearly different and wasn’t inspired by Sol’s RNG at all (like I said before it was a remake of Shouting Simulator, just including the luck based aspect which would decide if you get extra points after doing a shout). My other friend who were in sol’s rng discord confirmed that my game’s link was sent on sol’s rng discord just to mass dislike it. I’m really upset because firstly Sol didn’t even invent the “RNG” term (it existed on Roblox way before in a different form), secondly the game was in-dev since December (my game was in-dev earlier, just released later with 0 inspiration from sol’s rng) and thirdly it made my game go from 88% like ratio to 59%. This is the main reason why I hate Sol’s RNG more than any other game on Roblox and never actually gave it a try. Seeing my friends playing that dogshit 24/7 just makes me upset…
@@COP3NHAG3N well as I said I started development in October and sol’s did in December and back then no games with the RNG aspect had auras (maybe expect for REx which I’ve never tried before) and my inspiration was more just the luck itself (RNG difficulty chart obby is a good example which was made years ago).
I believe one of the scummiest parts of these games, besides their relentless attempts to copy each other to see who develops the next money-cow, is the fact that the alleged "rarities" for these auras are most certainly not even accurate. A prime example being just about any aura that has a rarity in the billions, which I'm sure I don't need to explain why that rarity-label is inaccurate considering that people don't seem to have much trouble getting them; I recall trying out sol's rng with a few friends for the sake of it and all of us almost consecutively getting a 1/10.000 aura within our first 20 rolls or so, which is statistically an improbability so high that we'd probably be more likely to go outside and die from having a piano fall on our heads. Granted there's nothing in the ToS saying that these games have to be completely honest about the rarities of things (even though they already break the gambling ToS), they just add these fake rarities to keep people in-game.
I think that those auras ARE indeed rare. However, If I recall correctly, there is a "luck" factor involved which so happens to be boosted for your first rolls to get engagment.
it's literally what gambling sites do, they mark up the odds of jackpots and such on your starter money, but once you run out / go over a limit they crank the odds back down. This is unironically a tactic used to get people hooked onto gambling.

Here's an experiment to determine if a kid will be a future gambling addict. Have them sample every game for 20 minutes each from the following options (ik they're not all good but I have to consider games for every audience): -Doors -Jailbreak -Arsenal -Big Paintball 2 -Brookhaven -Dress to Impress -Adopt Me -Piggy -The Strongest Battlegrounds -Sell your Sol for RNG Then let them play any games from those options for 5 hours total. If the majority of that time is spent in Sell your Sol for RNG, congratulations! Your child will be hitting the casino slot machines in the future.
Can confirm, if 0.1% of Sol's RNG's players went over to my game it would be a life changing amount. The fact that I have to choose between making something decent and having no attention or making garbage based on trends is just infinitely discouraging.
Sol's RNG actually deserved that name. Sol in french means "ground", and the term "éclaté au sol" means litterally "shattered on the ground" and metaphorically "completely trash". Sol's RNG is trash, and as a french would say, c'est éclaté au sol.

Ive been a QA tester/admin for a small tower defence game, its mostly a solo developer effort, it absolutly shames me to see rng games THIS POPULAR while passion projects with hundreads of thousants of hours put into it, testing it, coding it all worthless, we never broke 1000 players in over 4 years, we have little to no monetisation and here i am watching as souls rng gets popular… just wow ( name is tower defense:gateway btw )

roblox is so bad if you are a humble developer, roblox just underpays developers, priorities so that only games that make them money (example blox fruits and sols rng) appear on the discover menu, gamejolt priorities to support new developers and make them famous easily
The little text at the bottom that says “Roblox will kick you if you don’t move every 20 minutes” shouldn’t exist in ANY game. You’re supposed to INTERACT with games. THATS THE ENTIRE POINT.
People seemingly don't understand that these types of games will effect the industry. Sol's RNG is prosperous on Roblox for the time being, but big studios outside the platform will pick it up because there's a market.

I’ve been trying to make a game on Roblox for almost a year now (Just as a starter fighting game to get the gist of how to actually make an interesting game). Everytime I look at the front page it just makes me wanna give up cause even if my game isn’t perfect (which I know it isn’t) it’s barely gonna stretch the surface of 100 players. Depressing stuff.
i as a small dev who used to think that a good game could take on the frontpage (but it just lacked marketing or smth), i wish attention span was a thing nowdays. wanted to make games with good stories and codes and investigations for people to explore them but why'd i bother when i can make rng and get quadruple the recognition and money off of it. maybe if i end up making a good game and it somehow goes well on the frontpage i will make another eclipse happy though i probably will end up in a list of developers who will serve a proof for others that heart isn't the way to success anymore...

Hey eclipse, I personally play sol's rng from time to time and I agree that is braindead. The thing is, someone like me who has played videogames a lot, get distracted by videogames at a stage of my life (highschool) where i really need to focus. So a lot of the time I just join this game and let it run because it helps me concentrate on other things better. But I do agree that the 8 year olds who play this just for fun might grow up to be um.... interesting.
I also REALLY and I mean really agree that these games do not need this much players. games like phighting are so amazingly made and really deserve players in the thousands.... its really sad

Honestly Sols rng is a really bad game if you think about it , but there is only one thing keeping people playing this is the drive to get better auras than what you see on youtube or shits like that ,the fact that its so rare makes people who actually get these rares aura feels special and those who dont get them feel the need to also be like these people with cool auras , but the idea of sols rng is not all that bad in the end , at LEAST they dont try to take all ur money like 99% of roblox games , its just free gambling , trade ur time for good aura and compared to other games like pet simulator that just " trade your money for the need to spend more money " at least they dont try to scam you , the game dont try to hide the gameplay its just play it if you want that it . I find it funny how in the opening, in the middle of all those trashy RNGs there is Phighting, sitting there, standing out like a sore thumb. You should definetly play it btw, it's not like the other stuff you're used to making videos about but even for personal experience, you should 100% play it.
I’m not a Roblox player but I play a lot of Gacha games (WuWa, Star rail) and, while they are the same genre of game by pulling for rare items, at least these items are useful! Getting a stronger character in these games to boost your score on the challenging game modes or for emotional appeal is way better than getting a (cool) looking aura that does nothing 😭😭
Also i'm pretty sure they've got some "beginner luck" to make you addicted to it faster. For example i tried out sol's rng and got a 1/125k thing and two 1/50k things in like 20 rolls lmao
Hey eclipse, have you heard of this game called block tales? Its this really fun super mario rpg inspired game made by some dude. Its really fun and you can tell it has a lot of passion behind it. Its demo is out right now but idk if its gonna be up for long or not. But still, its a very nice change of pace compared to all the slop being released right now.
I wish there was a platform like Roblox that would have a more mature audience and rating. That would likely solve the issue of simulators, tycoons, rngs, and robux scam games.
I was actually plagued with a Sol's RNG addiction for almost a full month. Its easier for an older person to break free, but damn near impossible for a younger audience. It genuienly took me losing all my crappy rare auras to an accident with a macro to leave the game for good. I feel absolutely terrible seeing other people playing this knowing that they're also caught in such an addiction loop. I can only hope they break free from this BS soon. (small addition here - if you're looking for a fun Roblox game to play, Block Tales is actually quite entertaining as a paper mario / earthbound inspired game. I recommend.)

The meaning of life is leaving your autoclicker on overnight in "whatever the hell RNG" so that once you wake up, theres more flashy colors and bigger numbers on your screen! Yet.. There are a few itsy-bitsy drawbacks to this: Such as your parents slapping these cheeks after seeing the electricity and WiFi bills.. Life is so unfair.
These ripoffs are like bowls, the similarity starts when the bowl breaks by lack of care for it, the bowl at one point devolves from a bowl and becomes something undescribable, then it has basically no purpose but still alot of people have such bowls due to the fact that every bowl can turn into this.
It pains me to see games like Sol's RNG have thousands of players, while games like PHIGHTING, RUNNING FROM THE INTERNET, neonKnights, and HOURS struggle to pull just a few hundred players, despite having much more effort put into them (although even the Roblox Studio tutorial places have more effort put into them than RNG games lol). These are some of the few games that give me hope for Roblox, but seeing Sol's RNG and its many knock-offs plastered all over the front page make quick work of the already small amount of hope I have left for the platform.

There are actually some damn good rng games on roblox like Item Asylum as all weapons are free to get on the admin panel menu ( except the perfect run items like painted sword and grand volley) but in base game they arent and you have to wait to get them via rng, but thats what makes it engaging, what sets it apart from other rng games is you can actually use the thing you get with rng and actually benifit from it rather than having it as some stupid label or aura or some shit like that, especially the lobotomy corporation weapons those weapons mad powerful (specifically Smile and Twilight bird up, and Mimicry) and also the game (Item Asylum) gives you a reason to make a private server as there are items that are private server exclusive (like dragon deagle) Its an underrated masterpiece and I feel you could make a video about it soon,

Just wanted to leave this here for future people to see, and a message for eclipse, I was once, a person who plays games like these, including dusty trip and other simulator games, Young and not aware.
But in that time when people play that stuff, they see roblox as another type of gaming platform, a platform that they think wouldn't need complex things and just simple structured games, like sol's rng, all you do is just roll... That's it, Not much creativity so that they can pull in players, but later on, After i saw Eclipse's video, I became aware, These people are using us like tools to make their money, not caring for much about the players, That is not good behaviour.
Eclipse, I would wanna thank you for helping me for this, I realized i was just... wasting my time, We SHOULDN'T let people make fools of us, These people are making tons of money, with making ideas that are not creative and flat out just sometimes cash grabs, If you don't put in the effort in a project or love for the players, I don't think you deserve that money, So we shouldn't give it.

Last year in October, I decided to create a game called “Shouting Simulator RNG” (a remake of Shouting Simulator by Paragon comibned with old RNG game mechanics, such as RNG difficulty chart obby, which just included the randomness aspect). I’ve made quite a few Shouting Simulator remakes before so I thought of something new and decided to make it my new game. The development took quite a long time (because of big breaks) and the game officially released in early February. A few days later I found out that there’s a new trend with a different view of the RNG aspect (getting auras), started by Sol’s RNG. It was a clear coincidence and at first I was glad because the game was doing better than it wouldn’t do if the trend didn’t exist. Sadly I started noticing the game suddenly recieving insane amounts of dislikes, which made me quite confused and I quickly reminded myself of my friend who made “RNG Legends” (which was a game in-dev since November) had a similar problem, related to Sol’s RNG players mass disliking all other games with just “RNG” in it’s name before even playing it. Since my game was one of the first games made in 2024 which had “RNG” their name, it also have been targeted, when it was clearly different and wasn’t inspired by Sol’s RNG at all (like I said before it was a remake of Shouting Simulator, just including the luck based aspect which would decide if you get extra points after doing a shout). My other friend who were in sol’s rng discord confirmed that my game’s link was sent on sol’s rng discord just to mass dislike it. I’m really upset because firstly Sol didn’t even invent the “RNG” term (it existed on Roblox way before in a different form), secondly the game was in-dev since December (my game was in-dev earlier, just released later with 0 inspiration from sol’s rng) and thirdly it made my game go from 88% like ratio to 59%. This is the main reason why I hate Sol’s RNG more than any other game on Roblox and never actually gave it a try. Seeing my friends playing that dogshit 24/7 just makes me upset…

I believe one of the scummiest parts of these games, besides their relentless attempts to copy each other to see who develops the next money-cow, is the fact that the alleged "rarities" for these auras are most certainly not even accurate. A prime example being just about any aura that has a rarity in the billions, which I'm sure I don't need to explain why that rarity-label is inaccurate considering that people don't seem to have much trouble getting them; I recall trying out sol's rng with a few friends for the sake of it and all of us almost consecutively getting a 1/10.000 aura within our first 20 rolls or so, which is statistically an improbability so high that we'd probably be more likely to go outside and die from having a piano fall on our heads. Granted there's nothing in the ToS saying that these games have to be completely honest about the rarities of things (even though they already break the gambling ToS), they just add these fake rarities to keep people in-game.
I think that those auras ARE indeed rare. However, If I recall correctly, there is a "luck" factor involved which so happens to be boosted for your first rolls to get engagment.

roblox is so bad if you are a humble developer, roblox just underpays developers, priorities so that only games that make them money (example blox fruits and sols rng) appear on the discover menu, gamejolt priorities to support new developers and make them famous easily

I’ve been trying to make a game on Roblox for almost a year now (Just as a starter fighting game to get the gist of how to actually make an interesting game). Everytime I look at the front page it just makes me wanna give up cause even if my game isn’t perfect (which I know it isn’t) it’s barely gonna stretch the surface of 100 players. Depressing stuff.
i as a small dev who used to think that a good game could take on the frontpage (but it just lacked marketing or smth), i wish attention span was a thing nowdays.
wanted to make games with good stories and codes and investigations for people to explore them but why'd i bother when i can make rng and get quadruple the recognition and money off of it.
maybe if i end up making a good game and it somehow goes well on the frontpage i will make another eclipse happy
though i probably will end up in a list of developers who will serve a proof for others that heart isn't the way to success anymore...

Hey eclipse, I personally play sol's rng from time to time and I agree that is braindead. The thing is, someone like me who has played videogames a lot, get distracted by videogames at a stage of my life (highschool) where i really need to focus. So a lot of the time I just join this game and let it run because it helps me concentrate on other things better. But I do agree that the 8 year olds who play this just for fun might grow up to be um.... interesting.

I work on a project called Dystovia. Its an rpg that took about 4 years to get to alpha. The fact that it has less players than all these rng games is ridiculous.

Honestly Sols rng is a really bad game if you think about it , but there is only one thing keeping people playing this is the drive to get better auras than what you see on youtube or shits like that ,the fact that its so rare makes people who actually get these rares aura feels special and those who dont get them feel the need to also be like these people with cool auras , but the idea of sols rng is not all that bad in the end , at LEAST they dont try to take all ur money like 99% of roblox games , its just free gambling , trade ur time for good aura and compared to other games like pet simulator that just " trade your money for the need to spend more money " at least they dont try to scam you , the game dont try to hide the gameplay its just play it if you want that it . I find it funny how in the opening, in the middle of all those trashy RNGs there is Phighting, sitting there, standing out like a sore thumb. You should definetly play it btw, it's not like the other stuff you're used to making videos about but even for personal experience, you should 100% play it.

I’m not a Roblox player but I play a lot of Gacha games (WuWa, Star rail) and, while they are the same genre of game by pulling for rare items, at least these items are useful! Getting a stronger character in these games to boost your score on the challenging game modes or for emotional appeal is way better than getting a (cool) looking aura that does nothing 😭😭
Also i'm pretty sure they've got some "beginner luck" to make you addicted to it faster. For example i tried out sol's rng and got a 1/125k thing and two 1/50k things in like 20 rolls lmao
Hey eclipse, have you heard of this game called block tales? Its this really fun super mario rpg inspired game made by some dude. Its really fun and you can tell it has a lot of passion behind it. Its demo is out right now but idk if its gonna be up for long or not. But still, its a very nice change of pace compared to all the slop being released right now.

I was actually plagued with a Sol's RNG addiction for almost a full month. Its easier for an older person to break free, but damn near impossible for a younger audience. It genuienly took me losing all my crappy rare auras to an accident with a macro to leave the game for good.
I feel absolutely terrible seeing other people playing this knowing that they're also caught in such an addiction loop. I can only hope they break free from this BS soon.
(small addition here - if you're looking for a fun Roblox game to play, Block Tales is actually quite entertaining as a paper mario / earthbound inspired game. I recommend.)

Can’t really blame the devs because they figured out how to get a bunch of players and money with no effort. The issue are all of the brain dead people who play these games.
The meaning of life is leaving your autoclicker on overnight in "whatever the hell RNG" so that once you wake up, theres more flashy colors and bigger numbers on your screen!
Yet.. There are a few itsy-bitsy drawbacks to this: Such as your parents slapping these cheeks after seeing the electricity and WiFi bills.. Life is so unfair.
These ripoffs are like bowls, the similarity starts when the bowl breaks by lack of care for it, the bowl at one point devolves from a bowl and becomes something undescribable, then it has basically no purpose but still alot of people have such bowls due to the fact that every bowl can turn into this.
It pains me to see games like Sol's RNG have thousands of players, while games like PHIGHTING, RUNNING FROM THE INTERNET, neonKnights, and HOURS struggle to pull just a few hundred players, despite having much more effort put into them (although even the Roblox Studio tutorial places have more effort put into them than RNG games lol). These are some of the few games that give me hope for Roblox, but seeing Sol's RNG and its many knock-offs plastered all over the front page make quick work of the already small amount of hope I have left for the platform.

There are actually some damn good rng games on roblox like Item Asylum as all weapons are free to get on the admin panel menu ( except the perfect run items like painted sword and grand volley) but in base game they arent and you have to wait to get them via rng, but thats what makes it engaging, what sets it apart from other rng games is you can actually use the thing you get with rng and actually benifit from it rather than having it as some stupid label or aura or some shit like that, especially the lobotomy corporation weapons those weapons mad powerful (specifically Smile and Twilight bird up, and Mimicry) and also the game (Item Asylum) gives you a reason to make a private server as there are items that are private server exclusive (like dragon deagle)
Its an underrated masterpiece and I feel you could make a video about it soon,

Game like this have been around for a while, notably AFK and Wait 'Til It's Your Magic Number Simulator (AAWTIYMNS) and Da Amazing Bunker Simulator (DABS) but AAWTIYMNS is abandoned and DABS has an actual currency system and a wide variety of ways to gain money that aren't just straight-up AFK.
