- In this video you can enjoy the cab ride - train drivers view from St. Moritz (1,775 m) to Chur (585 m) in Switzerland, along the Albula line to Thusis (697 m) and along the Thusis- Chur line. You can enjoy this video in the resolution 4K/60 frames per second.
The Albula Railway is a single-track metre gauge railway line forming part of the so-called core network of the Rhaetian Railway (RhB), in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. It links Thusis on the Hinterrhein at 697 m and Filisur at 1,080 m with the spa resort of St. Moritz in Engadine at 1,774 m.
Construction of the Albula Railway was begun in September 1898, the opening took place on 1 July 1903, and the extension to St. Moritz commenced operations on 10 July 1904. With its 55 bridges and 39 tunnels, the 61.67-kilometre-long line is one of the most spectacular narrow-gauge railways in the world.
On 7 July 2008, the Albula Railway and the Bernina Railway, which also forms part of the RhB, were jointly recorded in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, under the name Rhaetian Railway in the Albula / Bernina Landscapes.
St. Moritz is a resort town in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. It is the southern terminus of the Albula Railway line from Chur, and a northern terminus for the Bernina Railway line from Tirano in Italy. The St. Moritz railway station came into operation in 1904.
Chur is a capital of the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. The railway station was opened in 1858 and it is the most important railway junction in Graubünden. The station is the terminus of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB CFF FFS) standard-gauge main line from Zürich and is also one of the most important stations on the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) metre-gauge network.

What a great ride that had it all. A gorgeous day, a great train, mountains, beautiful scenery, nice houses. small town where it seemed the train went right through the middle of it, valleys, and much more.
