Blackpool Illuminations are on and they are the best EVER! We take a walk on the wild side and head out to see Blackpool at night and have a walk along the promenade and seafront to show you just how great the illuminations are this year!
In this video we head along the promenade from Central Pier to North Pier, walking past Coral Island, the new Spyglass Bar underneath the new five star hotel, and along past all the amusement arcades, shops selling burgers, drinks, rock and fudge and the hotels and guesthouses that are all open and taking bookings for people wanting to see Blackpool Illuminations 2021.
I filmed this walking tour in November and it was dark but relatively warm for the time of year and thought it would be fun to see the Blackpool lights but I honestly was not expecting the absolutely incredible and amazing Blackpool Tower light show. WOW - it's just amazing!!
Blackpool Illuminations are described as the greatest free light show on earth and having seen the lights along the seafront you have to agree - they're incredible
This year, The Blackpool Tower Projections will run between 3 September and 3 January, and will once again transform the iconic Tower building into a sea of light, colour and sound.
From festive-filled stories to sci-fi projections that will catapult you to another world, these free-to-watch, digitally-mapped shows are a mesmerising treat for the eyes.
Look out for the exclusive projection shows during the Lightpool Festival as the charming discovery of Moon Folk unfolds and watch up close as the Tower is brought to life in the magical Tower Light Show.

Astral Dreams is a stunning laser-mapped show, transforming The Blackpool Tower into a sea of light, sound and colour with five high-powered lasers that will beam on to the historic frontage.
The mesmerising projection has been created by Blackpool-born international designer Jack Irving, who is best known for creating wildly theatrical outfits for Lady Gaga. Local producer, George Cornes, has also composed a musical accompaniment to support the impressive laser show.
Take your place on the Comedy Carpet directly opposite and enjoy the free-to-view spectacle.
The world-famous Blackpool Illuminations have been switched on for 2021. ... Blackpool Illuminations usually runs for 66 nights every year, however this year organisers have extended the duration of the illuminations, allowing visitors to enjoy the Illuminations over the Christmas and New Year period

The tower show and your footage and music are amazing, absolutely magical, mesmerising and truly uplifting. Another version with maybe 12.16 - 20.47 could be even more popular, it certainly is my favourite section! How you choreographed the child and parent walking in front of the I♥️BPL sign is just perfect!! 👌

Yes I have to say these are the best I have seen and I stayed in Blackpool for 8 years been away now for 10 years and I definitely love these ones and your video and the music in it it's amazing.

WOW simply WOW! They have really revamped the Illuminations, right? I like the new lights, gives it a more modern look! The show at the tower is pretty spectacular too! I haven't been to Blackpool in probably six or seven years, and sure looks different. More modern shops etc. I remember them working on it in many areas when I was there the last few times. Looks amazing! I gotta say all the way through I was looking for my favourite thing at Blackpool, and it happened at the very end. An old tram! That tram looked way more full than the new ones going up and down. Made me smile to see that! :) Thanks for bringing me back to one of my favourite places to visit in England! :) Ta Ra

Absolutely loved this video! We are just back from a few days in St Annes and we drove through the illuminations. We didnt get out though due to the wind! 😊

OMG, it's not what it used to be at all is it?..... You did well in the presentation, but I'm glad I did not waste money to see that, I remember the 70s in Yarmouth and Skeggy, the only difference is we dint have any money lol, the light shows have all gone down the pan... Thanks for that loved it, so many memories, the quality at the start was superb but something seemed to happen at the 17 min mark and it got very grainy ?
Yeah it most definitely did and I'm still kicking myself for it!
As the tram goes past I switch to an ultrawide lens to squeeze more of the tower in and it worked a treat, but then I manually zoomed with the ultrawide lens which led to it going really rubbish!
I'm still learning as I go with the new gear - very frustrating but at least I learned a valuable lesson to never do that again!
Is this kind of vibe in Blackpool in summers or all throughout the year?
You missed all the tableau displays which are between the north pier and Bispham ☹. Looks like they've cut down on a lot of the lights on the stretch that you've shown

Great video but the music was torture. The natural outdoor sounds are so lovely, and make me feel like I’m there.
I had to put music on as there was music blasting out on the street and if I'd left it on my video UA-cam would have given me a copyright strike

Great tower display but not as good along road ,there used to be loads of things strung up from one end to the other, different themes ,the horses & carriages & trams are great, Blackpool is the place to go with the family, we went went often when kids were little. Good job gimbal
Not the same vibe or as good as during the 90s or 00s. 2010 onwards it's vibe has slowly worn off

Was so annoyed as I knew I’d have to overlay music on the video to drown it out and stop UA-cam hitting me hard with copyright strikes
In my other videos now it’s pure natural sound unless that kind of thing happens or the wind destroys my microphone 🤣
