This is full tour of Blackpool seafront starting at Blackpool Pleasure Beach and ending at Blackpool Tower, taking in all the sights of the famous Blackpool Golden Mile.

Along the way we take a look at the pleasure beach, hotels, B&B's, The three Blackpool Piers, the bars, restaurants, shops and amusement arcades and of course the fortune tellers and buskers.
Blackpool is a seaside resort on the Irish Sea coast of England. It's known for Blackpool Pleasure Beach, an old-school amusement park with vintage wooden roller coasters. Built in 1894, the landmark Blackpool Tower houses a circus, a glass viewing platform and the Tower Ballroom, where dancers twirl to the music of a Wurlitzer organ. The Illuminations is an annual light show along the Promenade.
Blackpool's major attractions and landmarks include Blackpool Tower, The Illuminations, the Pleasure Beach, Blackpool Zoo, Sandcastle Water Park, the Winter Gardens, and the UK's only surviving first-generation tramway.

I have lived in Blackpool from 1980-1985, seasonal worker at Pontins Blackpool. I am now back in Australia. The Blackpool Illuminations back then were spectacular compared to these days it seems poor and sorry boring in comparison. They had Billboards all lit up with themes, little story sections, the Trams were done up and the street poles varied much more and much more elaborate lighting . The traffic was one way all lanes down to Bispham. I would visit Blackpool because i love Blackpool, but not because of the Illuminations if this was all blackpool had I would not bother. I have my photos and have compared them wow blackpool get your finger out and make them Grand again. Video was great, clear and a joy to watch. Thank you for a enjoyable hour.

Went last year with Mrs around this time the Vegas Diner has an incredible chocolate milkshake it's like heaven me n my Mrs both agreed it's the best thing youl ever taste! Love blackpool

Ah Blackpool ...my childhood memories are flooded with holidays to this iconic seaside resort...
My Auntie had a boarding house at Saint Anne's, so I guess we always had cheep digs🤣🤣...As a kid in the 60s I would always want to go on the Rocket tram ....we'd walk up to starr gate station and wait until that particular tram would turn up ....great video btw!....Still visit Blackpool with my grandson ...to see the excitement in his little face brings back those precious memories of my childhood...

It's been such a long time since I went to Blackpool - must be late 80's I was there last when the Dr Who exhibition was on the Golden Mile. My mum and I enjoyed doing the bingo games in some of the arcades on the seafront and seeing some of the top comedy acts of the day on the piers. Great memories of coming here as a child every year. All I remember of the last time I was there was listening to some people doing karaoke in a bar during the day I think in Winter Gardens and they were so bad I started to laugh uncontrollably and got told off by my parents!!!

@@GimbalWalkTV Yes it does!! I'm certain some of the folks that sang were a little bit drunk at the time. I'm sure I've made a mistake about the location of where this karaoke session took place. It wasn't at Winter Gardens as I distinctly remember the bar had a view of the promenade so I'm sure it must have been the old Tower Lounge bar which is now occupied by Harry Ramsdens.

I was stationed at Lytham in the army back in the early 60's and of course, our nights out would mainly be at Blackpool. I remember Yates' was a wine lodge and had a side of beef cooking on a spit inside, you'd buy a bread roll from the bar and take it to the chef who would carve slices of beef off and put it in your roll.
Now that sounds right up my street Peter - bet that was fantastic!

One hell of a walk that well done enjoyed every step,the place looked clean ,I first went there in 1954 as a lad of 16 my first ever holiday on my own ,I stayed down Alexandra road also been there on a works day out to see the lights then later in life when married for holidays things have changed a lot since then ,Saw some great shows on the pier's in those days

blackpool is amazing last time i went was in the early 90s the weekend i was up was when the pepsi max roller coaster first opened and i also love all the side streets which were full of bed & breakfasts the one i stayed at was £9 a night and included breakfast and love your tour guides

I went two years ago on a coach trip it was torrential rain and hurricane winds all day me and my wife got soaked to the skin. We found shelter in a Fish & Chip shop and then an indoor market. My wifes candy floss flew away at about 50 MPH. We could not even see the illuminations as the busses windows all steamed up and the wind and rain just never stopped so not a great time for us. I saw more of Blackpool with your video so thanks for that.

Great video as always. Yes my girlfriend and I went to Blackpool about 30 years ago..... Massively remember able... We walked alongside buildings on the front in the cold, and was passed by a young lady jogging in a black top and black French knickers..... Nuts. But yes did enjoy it.

in August 2020 with the kids
for 3 nights then we proceed to southport for 1 night
the weather was 24 degrees
and full sun and hardly any wind
The only second time out of 12 visits it didn't rain
That's the risk with English weather - you have to be lucky sometimes
I usually wait until the sunshine is confirmed before racing to a place to film it - that's why there's always lovely blue skies in them - I couldn't risk booking ahead for all the reasons you just said!

I tend to film with whichever camera I have to hand. The recent ones were done with a GoPro Hero 8 and a Zhiyun Crane stabiliser/gimbal. I love the quality but am getting ready to shell out on the new GoPro 9 coming soon!

which you can see just before the clip ends further up the street. The prom is the only nice thing about this town

Blackpool does sit in a deprived area, quite a lot of poverty there I believe. But the seafront doesnt look too bad. I dont know anywhere else that has three piers and they do have a zoo, gardens and Pleasure beach. The council have done their best to improve Blackpool seafront. It lacks the colour and sophistication of some of the other resorts, but it still remains famous and I like your photography. Thanks.

You're right about the area being not the most well off and the seafront is where all the busy parts are. It's still hard not to love a visit to Blackpool though!
Videos are great including the quality. 10-10.One thing maybe when your passing a hotel no need to put the name up , as we can see it on the 10ft billboard. Much more interesting to put some interesting facts on the screen. Like previous videos . Cheers keep up the good work .

Although some people like to know which hotel is which as they have either stayed there or have booked to go You can of course add facts too ! Just FYI the general thought is that all caps are more difficult to read than mixture of upper and lower case
Like these videos well presented, only thing that bugs me is the music it would be nice to hear the street noice and the sound of the sea ect, other than that great walks.
I do both Sonia as I know music isn’t for everyone
The main issue for me has been wind noise which has totally ruined the sound so I use music over the top 👍👍❤️

I was surprised how quiet, particularly Fleetwood, is at this time of year - apart from the beautiful sky it looks more like an early Spring day. The trams also seem very infrequent compared to my memories of a selection of different trams every 2 or 3 minutes. Is this all part of the Covid hysteria ?
I'm not sure - possibly!
I think the trams were every 20 minutes or so from memory
The video didn't go to Fleetwood. Trams at the time were every 15 minutes but most of the shooting was away from the tram side of the promenade.
