We saw two different personality in this ep that prove that you can't blame Kara's behavior on being a teenager or being young but here you have Janora who listens to reason.... is attentive that she's already having spiritual connections just like her grandfather ... I used to joke and say that the spirits were looking for a better candidate for the avatar because Kora socks lolllll
It doesn't help that at the end of the first episode he looks directly into the camera and says "I have great plans for you" in a super ominous voice. It was so heavy handed he may as well have said "I am an evil character." If they had been more nuanced about him all of the developments further in the season would have hit so much harder.
Her dad being in the south of probably one of the reasons she grew up in that compound where she was mostly alone and not with ppl her own age , which affects how she is
@ yes I know but if she was in the Northern tribe she probably would not be in the compound, what I’m saying is due to the events that her father did affected her her later as he moved somewhere else
@@millieboon again wrong 💀 they would just build one in the north or are you saying this cause of the attack that was mostly possible due to unalaq which they briefly talk about? Even then aang was the reason she had to be in a compound in the first place
EVERYONE MAY HATE UNALAAQ, BUT it doesnt excuse the most basic fact.. HE TAUGHT KORRA MORE ABOUT HER SPIRITUAL SIDE THAN EVEN TENZIN!!.. Everyone always seems to forget that EVERY past Avatar went Around the World to learn from DIFFERENT TEACHERS, of EACH NATION. Yet for some reason, KORRA has been kept isolated and “contained”.. So i am absolutely on Korras side; Even Before Knowing THE TRUTH ❤❤
You might be there already, but once you hit a two parter, the rest is a great season! Season 3 really is the best though, but I love season 4 too!! Can’t wait for the journey!
FIRST TIME I saw this, at this point I was suspecting Unilok a lot - I was wondering if the spirits were unhappy or if he was using his abilities to control them and make them attack. Kind of like the person who sets a fire so they can rusk in and save people so they seem to be the hero. I won't say if I was right or wrong, but that was my thoughts at this point. Still much to come!
9:27 See S2 defenders try and excuse everything Korra says based on her being isolated by the White Lotus, but nothing anybody says can excuse this fixation with "sides" that she has.
One problem i really have with this season is how obvious they made the bad guy when they had set a strong possibility to make it not so obvious. Just like Ange said, after the lights he believed him to be good. And like the end of this ep its the same thing for following eps, where the ominous music and villanous camera shots thats saying "hey here is the bad guy!". Like come on 😒
I REALLY liked Unalaq in the first two episodes of this series. They lost a big opportunity on making him a misguided villain and putting him and his brother as two sides of the same coin, going for a more ying yang theme for the season. Season 2 is the worst because of this wasted opportunity.
Cuz shes tired of her father? The father that she sees lying to her and keeping her excluded for the rest of the world? Ooh my a teenage girl tired of the men in her life talking over her head and taking decisions for her! Shes so unreasonable
@Stretercto If she would've asked, she would realize it was because of Zahir and the Red Lotus (which she struggled with as the Avatar later in life and could only beat with help), which was more than enough reason for her safety (indiferent of admiting it or not)..., but S*mp/White Knights Will always defend Korra 🤷🏻♂️
@@JaimeAGB-pt4xl but are we talking about why she was seperated? No… We talk about how she reacts to the information she knows! She just feels overprotected and secluded from the world. @@Stretercto Right cause its so smart to disregard your FATHER who has your best interests at heart and side with your shady uncle who your father dislikes, probably for good reason. so reasonable. What makes you say that? I haven't even gotten a whiff of this having been watched already. Also it'd be weird if they watched LoK alreaedy but not ATLA.
@@Uh_0h_zilla yup 100%.. break it down to me if you have any other most complex characters that developed after had been through so much throughout each season, and learned so much after so many down moments in their path other than Korra and Zuko... I said best in terms of their character arcs.. not based on how cool/badass/funny their character is in viewers' pov.
Well the avatar has to tend to both humans and spirits which Aang did a few times even after the 100 year war. I mean we know how much avatar kuruk suffered when trying to fix spirit related issues because yangchen was too busy fixing human realm problems and ignored the spirits. Spirits themselves don't like getting involved with humans and most hate humans as we have seen LOK and Wan's backstory.
Because this is a retcon/plothole. If you want to enjoy Lok, i suggest not thinking too deep about anything. The more you think about it, the worse it gets.
@@Gopal__S He didn't. He got angry and upset but he wasn't a "dark spirit". He was just an angry regular spirit. Dark spirits in this series seem completely empty in terms of emotions. They're just dark purple angry faceless fodder for the hero's to fight. Hei ba had reasons to be angry and expressed it in visible ways other than "me angry, me destroy because me angry". Hei ba didn't brainlessly kill everything like these dark spirits. There was no random unexplained waterbending magic (Whatever Unalaq does to these dark spirits) to "fix" Hei ba. At first he left Aang alone and the way his anger was subsidized wasn't by random unexplained waterbending magic, but by Aang giving him hope that his forest can be regrown. Spirits in LoK got massively downgraded.
