Finally Varrick and Zhu li are here. When i first watched LoK they were my absolute favorite characters, no contest. Zhu li was my #1 despite her being a side character to a side character. Absolute goat.
As much as I agree season 2 is the worst season mainly because of what I would say "The Great Character Reset", it has some very good moments. And I connected to Korra the most this season, and to Tenzin's relationship with his siblings. When I was a teen, I was just as moody as Korra and everything people say ticked me off for some reason. And I constantly feel that people are not on my side, that my parents are too controlling, and just that the world is against me for some reason. And my relationship with my siblings then was just as interesting as Tenzin and his siblings. We had alot of unresolved resentments to each other, also mostly due to our perceived parental attention. So even though it was the worst because Korra's character was "reset" to like it was in season 1, i connected to it the most.
Season 2 is ... strange. Some characters feel like they were taken back some of their development, but season 2 is still good imo. Just some small things that felt weord after everything in season 1
Season 2 is probably the worst season, but there are a few great moments, like Uncle Bumi being well... Uncle Bumi, and the stuff with Wan is amazing. Plus Varrick is so crazy it's tough not to at least kinda like the character.
Could someone help me explain what the surprises at 11:04 about? I'm not a native so idk what's the funny situation mean.. I wanna get surprised too, help😂
Surprise? It's the fact the siblings are so monotone and sociopathic. If you mean the pop-up pictures, those were Dragon Ball Z characters, Android 17 and Android 18. They speak very similarly to Eska and Desna.
The problems with this series and this episode is often they write Korra as if she's Aang's age. Her decision to go with her uncle instead of Tenzen just didn't feel believable. It was like "he did this cool thing so I want him to train me". Maybe if she was Aang's age that would make sense but making the character older, they needed more nuance in the writing here, especially after she just got tricked by Tarrlock last season. It's like the events of the last book didn't happen and we're back Book 1 Korra at the start of the show.
I feel it was more than just “he did a cool thing.” Like, the episode and last season tell us that Tenzin is supposed to be the one to teach her about spirit stuff, and to their eyes, he couldn’t help when the spirit attacked, only Unalaq could. To add to that, he has, to her, been the most open about stuff and having confidence in her. Is it the best presented? Idk, but I think there’s multiple layers to it beyond “cool trick.” Yeah she’s older, but she was sheltered for most of her life until book 1, so there’s a lot of stuff in the real world she seemingly wasn’t mentally prepared for, which can make sense with that life.
Korra is a brat (I mean it makes sense, she literally is a brat and she lived cooped up in one place her whole life, and was treated as both immensely powerful and important and an impotent child at the same time, what did anyone raising her expect to happen?), but she has a good sense of what and how she needs to learn. She has almost always been right when it comes to her training (beyond what she says in anger). First season, she is unfair to Tenzin, but she is right about needing to get out of air temple to learn too, once he authorised that, she followed his training and both part paid off. Second season, she is somewhat unfair to Tenzin (although not entirely for reasons we'll discuss much later), and she is right, she needs to learn to commune with the spirits and her uncle is here with tangible and immediate results.
The worst is the 4th season. The best is the 3rd season. IMO, korra season 3 is the best in all of Avatar combined. It's the best. Again mind you IMO. this season is ok, has some pretty good lore episodes
Saying it’s the best of all avatar combined is the biggest overstatement I have heard it is the best in lok but it’s just that much of a different better than season 1 of lok saying it’s even better than the whole of atla is crazy. Avatar is much better than lok no saying that lok is bad.
This season isn’t as bad as people say. It’s definitely the worst one, but it did suffer from the worst production issues. They basically had to redo the entire second half.
Korra didnt beat Amon, She airbent him and then his brother killed him. In fact why do they just assume hes gone? They just forget about him completely
From a certain angle, she did, as her actions led to breaking up his following since he had to reveal himself. In terms of assuming he’s gone, besides not finding Tarrlok later, I imagine they searched and found at least the remains of the boat. We aren’t given much info, and obviously not confirmed, but it works. We ultimately don’t know how far out they got before that happened.
Love Varrick although mostly dislike this season. If you enjoy anime then I guess you would like it? but I do not enjoy anime at all so that’s my preference. S3 and 4 are way better than the first two imo
Ngl, this season is probably the weakest of the entire series. Honestly, I’ve already forgotten most of the plot, which says a lot about its overall impact. While there are a few standout episodes that are genuinely great, they’re not enough to elevate the season as a whole. That said, it’s still watchable, but it doesn’t leave a lasting impression.
I feel like they went too far with Korra's "personality". I can't be the only one here getting annoyed with her constant attitude. Sucks too that i KNOW what they were going for with her personality but it just rubs off the complete wrong way.

cant wait till yall reach 7-8 episode of this season, thats when things are about to go crazy
"When you get to be my age you'll be thankful fot the time you had with your siblings" this line killed me, i miss Sokka so much
I always laughed 😂whenever you guys get to the romances scenes in these series
I love this season. I appreciate what the studio was able to do without knowing their future with the series.
Varrick is the best character, imo, the goat has arrived
Mako as police officer/guardian role is best Mako, I stand by that. Poor guy did his best in those advice moments.
Varrick is one of my favorite characters in Korra.
Keep up the good work guys, love your reaction videos! ❤
This is actually one of my favorite seasons, but I agree that the beginning is a bit rough, push it through! it's totally worth it
4:13 that was just Aang playing with his grandkids 🥹
This season gets a lot of criticism but it give some moments that really elevate the series.
A really bold move by the writers tbh
@@driezzy Let's see how that plays out.
@@masansrwe know? Or what do you mean by that?
@@driezzy (that was a Dodgeball reference)
Love the Korra reacts!
They could never make me hate Varrick the GOAT!😂
epidoes 7 and 8 are so good! Can't wait for that
and ZHU LI is finally on the screen! And Varrick too, whatever.. haha (I love them both sm)
Ep 6-7 are my favorites for no reason
Bumi is the oldest, Kya is 7-8 years younger than Bumi and Tenzin is 4-5 years younger than Kya so their order is Bumi, Kya, Tenzin.
As much as I agree season 2 is the worst season mainly because of what I would say "The Great Character Reset", it has some very good moments.

Everyone says this is the worst season but I enjoyed it! ❤
imo S2 is the weakest, but I don't know if I could call it bad. The other seasons are just really really good.
Season two here we go
Yay this is my favorite season!
Ep 7-8 is the best for S2
Honestly im excited for S3 more than anything. S2 is kind of a drag
Season 2 is probably the worst season, but there are a few great moments, like Uncle Bumi being well... Uncle Bumi, and the stuff with Wan is amazing. Plus Varrick is so crazy it's tough not to at least kinda like the character.
Agreed
Why would you just put blatant spoilers in this comment? Tf
Im here for Aubrey Plaza
I like season 2. Is it the weakest of the 4? Sure, but one of the seasons has to be in 4th place...
this season is pretty bad unfortunately but there are a few redeeming qualities that are very good, curious to see what you guys will think!

@NimVim watch any other anime for that. 4th season shouldn't exist. 3rd was the epitome of the avatar series.
