WTH this is so good i've been looking for some good vhs effect for so long some video editor doesn't have it since you have to pay for it thanks for this, but can we really use it? does it have virus or anything with it? XD
It would definitely help if you would make a video/link to the various plugins and files you are using here as Audacity by default doesn't come with those VHS filter curve presets ( The hi and lo fi vhs preset. )
2:19 Asiana Flight 214 if it was in 1990s instead of 2010s Also do you know what settings I should pick if I want my black screen to behave like an actual VHS?
There is a newer program called ntsc-rs that not only emulates VHS and analog TV artifacts, but is much faster at rendering. Not only that, but it's being updated frequently. Just thought I'd let you know.
I don't normally do that but you could probably add a greenscreen before doing the ntscQT part of it, you can also edit the video settings while ntscQT is rendering which is what I normally do.
Something about "Users/User/ntscqt" does not exist with like 5 other errors that might as well be runic code. The install instructions are very vague in that sense.
@@Superluck77Lol thank you so much bro i was looking for some vhs tutorials on youtube and i tried using virtualdub as well, i still think that yours is better tho
Also thank you. This is the best vhs tutorial I’ve seen.
DUDE THE FLUTTER ONE IS WHAT I'VE BEEN FINDING IN A LONG TIME I CAN'T FIND ANY TUTORIAL ON HOW TO DO THE AUDIO FLUTTERING THANK YOU SO MUCH
School projects be like

I remember when you were interested in planes, it was when I first met you!
I like how this is put together, good work 👍
Yeah, this is part of a class project meaning I'm gonna have to present this. Wish me luck!

I've used it for like a year or so and nothing has happened so I'm going to assume it's safe
can you put a link to the lo-fi and hi-fi filter curve presets in the description? that would be great!
Have you found the filter curve or are you still looking for it?
@@Tibu17 i didnt found it
Thanks :)

If you could export those user presets and link them in the description that would be great.
i need them too :(
I visually matched it, I can give you the preset if you want.
@@JeepCreep343 Or you could just create it yourself. I did it in about 5 minutes.
@@SolidSableye please post?
A way to get the most REALISTIC VHS effect is by using real equipment
Yes ik, I use real equipment most of the time. This is for the videos I don't use them in.
Cool
2:19 Asiana Flight 214 if it was in 1990s instead of 2010s
Also do you know what settings I should pick if I want my black screen to behave like an actual VHS?
it'd be better if in your editor you lowered the contrast, so that black is more like grey.
@@Superluck77Lol oh alr, thanks. Will report after I got into my PC.
how do you get lo-fi and hi-fi filter urve things?
How did you get the baseband artifact into AVISynth?
it came with it, I don't use AVISynth since I never figured out how to use it, but I do use the audio file from it.
@@Superluck77Lol sad that mine doesn't have it 😢

Ik, I plan on making a updated video using it and some other effects I've discovered
Cool beans. I'll be looking forward to it.
Looking forward 2

What if i want deterioration/damage effect?
I don't normally do that but you could probably add a greenscreen before doing the ntscQT part of it, you can also edit the video settings while ntscQT is rendering which is what I normally do.
Why does your microphone randomly peak
I was tired and didn't care about the recording quality
how did you constract the audio from the video to import the audio into audacity? mine doesnt work
you need ffmpeg installed, you can go into your audacity settings and it should have a link for the download.
I need a link to that sound used at 3:23
love the tutorial but geez lay off the caffeine lmao I was having a bit of a time keeping up with you
I completely understand lol, this was done as a school project at like 2 AM. I plan on remaking it anyways.
How do you get the filter curev?
How did you did the finish result? Can you please tell me what you did?
I just export the video and audio then combine them in avidemux.
Can't seem to figure out how to install ntscqt. Keep getting errors in terminal. Any ideas on how to fix?
Something about "Users/User/ntscqt" does not exist with like 5 other errors that might as well be runic code. The install instructions are very vague in that sense.
Nvm, I figured it out lol
what is the vhs preset for the first clip in the video
when your in NTSCQT, click "master nama" at the bottom and it should give the preset :)
where did you get the low pass efect
it should already be in Audacity
@@Superluck77Lol i dont have it
odd, you can mess with an equalizer to get a similar effect
@@Superluck77Lol so dow you have a link for the effect beacuse i want to do the same as you so my vhs tapes look goood and stuff
@@Superluck77Lol btw how do you put the udio in the video
the hell is the ending??
try using AVISynth
I have, I'm not really a big fan of it
where do i get the sound effect???
why did you put the fnaf dog in
wanted to see what my teacher's reaction would have been. she ended it at the black screen so she didn't get to see
i cant put the video into audacity
you need ffmpeg installed for audacity.
Is there one for mobile?
not that I know of sadly
what version of audacity is that
Version 2.4.1.0 (at least that is what Windows tells me)

I just copy it to an actual tape.
I usually do also but when I'm lazy I usually do this.

I don't know if you can on ntscQT, you can with ntscRS though: ua-cam.com/video/3j5ZuMS26dw/v-deo.html
