Beautiful! Of course it would be! I am glad I don’t have to dust! I like u went to a smaller home- I as I get older don’t want a bigger house. Are we able to see upstairs? or is that private? Hi Pam, We have a Cabin in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado near Copper Ski Resort- not that I can ski but My husband did when he was younger . Just to let you know we got over 2ft. Of snow - which we needed badly ! Now we have to dig out!! We have n’t had to do that in years. Climate change is for real!!When we were first married we always had more then 4 ft. of snow so this is a change. Thanks for asking ! I talk to much. Happy Holidays!! And better have a great 👍 New Year or at least on the up side!!☃️
@@rhondalampe6676 Sounds like a Piece of Heaven to me right now,😌. We have been looking for house/cabin since My boyfriends retirement in 2015, and finding something is definitely a challenge.. He is still a 38 year Paramedic and said as soon as he finds something out of Ga he is retiring for GOOD 😊..
I'm so excited! I was HOPING Paula would show her house and Christmas decor. What a wonderful way to start my Christmas morning while I wait for my son to wake up and start opening presents, a hot cup of coffee, watching Paula, and being so relaxed. LOL! Paula your house is beautiful! I love antiques as well & have many that were in my family for 2-300 years. Those planters that you have out on your porch were used to hold fragrant flowers for around the dead body for mourning. My uncle was a funeral director & had them in his parlor. I remember as a child asking him what they were cuz they were in a corner empty & they looked different than other urns for flowers. He had them in his family for a long time so you are correct about that. I also love that you collect Byers Choice cuz they are made in my state of Pennsylvania. You can even take a tour of the place. Maybe you could get them to make a Paula Dean doll. Have a Merry Christmas!

Love love love you! When l first met ur fam, it was at the little restaurant in Savanna where the line wrapped around the corner. My husband and l stood in that line for the first time visiting your restaurant. We bought your 1st Lady n sons cookbook and Bobby signed it. It is still one of my memorable cookbook treasures! Thank you for the tour. I lived in Savannah for 18 months. My mother passed and I buried her in Bonadventure. Anyways, you are so gracious and made me miss the area and the people I met while there. I have been wanting to come visit and now the desire is that much greater. Who knows I might just move back! Merry Christmas to you and have a wonderful 2022!
Your exactly correct , the weaved baskets on the porch , were used to hold flowers for the deceased, either in the house normally the living room, their bed , or as my great grandfather in the yard. The funeral home loaned them to the family if they were unable to pay for a container of flowers as nice looking as the flower baskets in the wire holders. Those are the first ones I've seen in years an years, my greatgrand father had them around his casket I was about 8 when he passed ,I'm 74 now ..keep those safe. They're beautiful.

Hi Paula , Your house is Beautiful! I love Byers Choice too. I have the Scrooge set, and a firefighter and lamplighter plus accessories. Years ago I picked out ones that actually looked like my family. A Skier with a mustache like my husband, long straight haired skater like me, teenage boy and girl with ski's and ice-skates, a boy toddler in a little sled and a snowman. Your furniture collection is beautiful too. I admired it when I was out shopping one day. Very comfy and classic. Also I think you're right about those planters. I love unique things like that. Thrifting and second hand stuff is so much fun,

Custom drapes are fabulous. I had made for my home and the interlining they put in had an acoustical property and quieted down the bedroom. Every time I walked into the room I loved it. So worth it.

Loved the tour! Love the lighted garland everywhere, the little collections & the bottle brush trees that go with them. Your pantry is lovely too & I'm not a brick wall kind of gal but yours is so pretty in that all the colors & additional things go perfectly together. I've always loved those antique doors too. I lived there from 1988 - 1995, and I remeber when you started the Lady and Sons restaurant. I know that Savannah has changed alot since I lived there but hearing you talk about some of the places you like to go to tells that some things have stayed the same, which is nice to hear. Your house reminds me of my childhood. I myself have just gotten into baking. I happen to have some free time while waiting on a Heart Transplant. Thank you for sharing these wonderful memories!
I feel for you over the ornaments. I had all of my grandmothers antique ornaments on my tree and my two-year-old son decided to climb my tree that year and my whole tree come crashing down and I thought it was the end of the world, I cried for days there was no saving them because they were all so fragile. Just thinking about it now brings a tear to my eyes they were so sentimental to me. Boys, my daughter would never dreamt of climbing my tree I tell you LOL
That screened in back porch is my dream. I have always wanted one but living in Las Vegas it’s just not a feasible thing and then to have your own named brand furniture out there it’s just perfection. Let me leave you with a funny story. We had a swing on our balcony that my husband and I would sit on every night because we have a perfect view of the strip from our back balcony and we were swinging and just talking you know like you do and all of a sudden we went back and so did the swing LOL that damn thing broke on us backwards, we weren’t hurt whatsoever but it was quite a shock and we laughed and laughed. Our kids came over to see it and said what were you doing mom and I said if I told you you wouldn’t want to know, knowing that we weren’t doing anything but swinging.😉 I found it to be my purpose in life to embarrass my kids.

Paula, I just love watching you ….whatever you are doing! I am 73 and went through some health issues during quarantine, so you were a double gift for me!! As I watch you I find we have so very many things in common it’s uncanny. I have a burning question that I have been wanting to ask you….what was your house doing while you were at River Bend? They are both such lovely, very special places to be! I have a recipe that I have been meaning to send and hope to do that soon. Thank you for all the time you spend doing what you do. So nice of you to help people find the paint they like in your house. Love your home, it is gorgeous. I went by it about 7 yrs ago, I was by your back gate. Wish I could have seen the front of it. By the way, the reason I am writing you is to tell you how much we loved a recipe in your Jan/Feb magazine. Hearty Veg-Beef Stew on page 53. It was delicious. You might want to make this on your show. I will save this one for company. Love all your shows and I love you too!
