I have watched many Homeworthy videos and this is by far, in my humble opinion, the very best. No fluff here just down to earth and the hostess did not bore the viewers with every little thing in a room. She hit the high spots and I wanted the video to continue on when it was over. I will be watching again and again to take it all in. I know the entire home was not filmed but would have loved to see the rest. Her color and mix is wonderful...her style is her. Thank you Homeworthy ~
One of the best of Homeworthy! So special to see a host/hostess actually pat and show affection to their pet(s) while giving a tour of their wonderful home. She was incredibly interesting and sweet!
The hostess seems genuine and sweet, and I appreciate that she opened her lovely home for us. She explained the history of the house and her family’s history with this house very well. Thank you.
Georgian colonials are some of my favorite types of homes, and this home did not disappoint. What I particularly love is how cozy the rooms feel despite the large size of the overall house. You never feel like you are in the home of someone whose kids are grown. No wonder her children would rather stay at home for Christmas instead of travel. I would too😊
Her gentle petting the adorable doggo 🐕 just told volumes about her sweet and kind nature…and her home reflects her acceptance of various cultures and her adaptable and caring attitude towards life 🏡💝
This home was lovely and so was the hostess. Her warmth was so evident in her continued interaction with the family dog but also in the way she spoke of including all her parents and grandparents collections. Her appreciation of incorporating the cultures of her travels in paintings, fabrics and more personal collections was all evident in the furnishings and wallpapers which added layers of warmth. Loved it, loved the hostess, loved the dog!
You are so fortunate to have a good life. Merry Christmas and all of God's Blessings carrying on in the light of Christ and the blessings of Christmas. Christ is the reason for Christmas! 🎄
This made me feel at home, having grown up nearby and having lived in Newton Center and Brookline as a young adult. I love that Elizabeth incorporated so many elements of her family's world travels in her decor. Too many homes today have a cookie cutter sameness devoid of personal touches. This was the perfect mix of sophistication, homeyness, and unique art.
I totally agree with all the awesome comments on how enjoyable it was to listen to such a genuine, honest, humble & thankful woman share her thoughts on what her home & its contents mean to her & her family!! What a fascinating background she has, plus her appreciation of all her world travels has definitely resulted in a beautifully woven story of her family’s history!! Absolutely great episode👍🏻🤗🙌🏻👏🏻!!
I love the traditional older homes like this, solid and beautiful. She is very relatable and provides a warm welcoming home to family and friends. Moldings TDF! 🎄❤️
I'm a Boston-area native (Medford) and remember that when I was 13 my dentist lived in Chestnut Hill. I wondered whether Elizabeth Benedict was a designer from the start considering how well done the house is. It's not easy to put a lot of color and pattern together and make it look attractive and not too busy. I can't do it. I love the kitchen and the sunroom most of all. I'd have my coffee in the sunroom every morning if I lived there. Merry Christmas!
I love the way Elizabeth incorporates so many family elements into her home. There are things everywhere and it all comes together so well. This was such an inspiration to me because I have so many things that I love, and have always thought it made my home seem cluttered if I displayed everything all at the same time. I will be changing that! What a warm and wonderful home. Thank you for the revelation!!
It doesn’t get better than this !! I remember seeing the host’s decoupage lamp in a home decor shop in the 1980s and trying to decide where it would fit in my house . I adore all her passed down collections. Every thing was interesting and one of a kind . Her decor brings one home at Christmas, no trends , no themes , just lovely memories.
I enjoy listening to the owners of these fabulous homes! It feels so cozy and they feel very down to earth no matter how extraordinary the home is! Thank you Homeworthy ❤
I actually really enjoy the homeowner stories about their homes...both about the home itself and it’s history and the items they choose to display in the home.
🎄~Absolutely gorgeous home! ~You just can't beat a Georgian Colonial!! ~ So impressive & stately & loads of curb appeal! ~Interior is just beautiful.... well-layered with color & comfort, yet elegance! ~ Well done Elizabeth! I love it!😉 🎄💫🎄
I just love her and all the COLOR…..gorgeous home and she is so sweet…Thankyou for sharing. Hugs carolyn from Columbus GA….I love the story about her grandfathers silvers……she has beautiful pieces…..I do LOVE Mac n cheese!!!!!….I had an amaryllis dipped in wax….it was beautiful and huge….I took the wax off after it was thru and planted it in our yard…it’s 4 feet tall and bloomed again in the yard. Enjoy
The home is gorgeous, outside and inside. I especially like how the kitchen and dining room were opened to each other and how the enlarged space still looks cozy. I like Elizabeth's style for her home. Love Woody, the cute doggie.
Homeworthy Thank you! A lovely house and loving home. Knew this would be special when Ms. Benedict included her beloved Woody in the introduction. So much to see and hear about but not in an overwhelming way and made one hope for an invitation to return. 🌹🌹🌹
Its so touching to hear how much love this lovely lady for her family, present and those who are no longer present❤ i really appreciate knowing that she likes the asian flare of colours and momentos😊 .... also glad to know she had travelled even to Malaysia, my home. Thanks for sharing!
What a fabulous home and interesting person. I, too, bring back art, xmas decorations (and bracelets!) from my trips abroad. I really enjoyed hearing about her home. One learns so much from the diversity of your interviewees and their life experiences. Thank you, Homeworthy ❤️
I agree she is a lovely hostess but please Home worthy keep on having the variety of homes and home owners as there is gold in the details. I love the background stories. I am intrigued and informed - it makes Home worthy unique😊
Your home is wonderful, Elizabeth. Thank you so much for letting us peek inside. I want to know where you got your dress! It's fabulous and I want one!! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of the viewer's!! 🎄🕯🎁💝
I found Elizabeth a couple years ago when her neighbor Sarah Winchester mentioned her in her home tour on Instagram. Have viewed Elizabeth's store on line but finally now got to see her home. Looks like Sarah's tour with Homeworthy is coming up soon. So excited....her home is gorgeous too.
What a lovely and comfortable home. I love the beautiful, bold colors, patterns and all their different collections from their travels around the world. I especially loved the gifts passed down from her mom and her sweet dog insisting she pet it while giving the house tour.😊
I love your style and all the colors in your home. It was so nice to see how you appreciate the things you have received from your family, and that you use the good stuff
Such a lovely, interesting home! She is definitely beloved by her dog😉🙂 I thought it was funny when she shared how her children didn’t want to travel on Christmas and preferred to be at home. We offered our children a trip for Christmas years ago. We were going to update passports and it would be a surprise destination....the response was shocking....a resounding “no way”......one of our sons said “ no way you’d probably just take us to museums anyway!😂
I love how warm and inviting her home is. She is a so gracious and I enjoy the story she tells of her travels and collections from her family. Wonderful home tour!
This was a warm and inviting home and Elizabeth presented it in such an enjoyable way. I love that she uses her families collections and the Christmas decor was amazing and something other people can accomplish with what they own.
At last! A home I can identify with. Lovely inviting decor. We are traditional Central Lakes Region New Hampshire. This charming hostess did a wonderful job over the years to bring the bones of this house together. The rooms invite you to sit and enjoy the space. It looks like a home, well loved and lived in.
Love this episode. The home is truly loved and lived in. Very lovely and inviting. This episode was truly authentic and that was nice to see. Glad I chose to curl up with my evening time to this non-salesy, down to earth nature of this comforting episode. Thank you, Homeworthy. I'd watch Homeworthy home tours like this instead of streaming any evening!
Just a lovely home in every way and reflects a life well lived and well travelled! Just to mention: a center hall table does not have to be round. It can be a table that is long, oval but proportional to the hall itself. Just a thought ! I, too, have preserved boxwood and it always looks fabulous --- really low maintenance! Enjoy the holidays and thanks, Elizabeth! 🎄✨🎄✨🎄✨🎄✨
I love her! So unpretentious and "Mom-ish". Totally prepppie I LOVE how you show lots of preppies, they are like a mug of cocoa next to a log fire- soothing and delectable- she is totally channeling Julia Child. I am in heaven!🙂🙂🙂🙂❤️❤️💯
This home is beautifully decorated for the holidays! You can feel the love throughout this home. The pups of the house are adorable too! Happy holidays! ❤ 🎄 🎅
Wow this is wonderful…this is a home that is worthy ! She is just a beautiful soul who loves her home and it is truly a reflection of herself and family. I love a home filled with things from the past and things that are treasured throughout a life well lived. These are my favorite homes when they are filled with these little touches that all have a story. I love a maximal decor where everything is not “new” it’s collected and there are treasures everywhere with unique stories. Thank you for sharing your home I bet your kids love being there and your family just loves getting cozy with you and every room is used when your kiddos are there. Such a blessing its what I am working towards as well :)Merry Christmas
I just love this home, it a favorite. Elizabeth is fabulous. She is making me want to get a decorative Arts Degree, like she said, I could put all this math to use, lol. I've saved this and will rewatch again and again for more ideas.
I enjoyed many aspects of this lovely home, especially the prints chosen for upholstery, the kitchen, the sunroom and the dining room chandelier. It’s all very joyful!
We had the stained concrete floor ground and polished, and half the house painted. 14’6” cathedral ceiling for an open room for 5 living areas. I must have been having a nutty day. I chose Maxfield Parish for inspiration and chose a blue ceiling and pink walls. I am a maximalist and it is exhausting to move everything for painting or the floor! Everything is in the bins we bought and I am slowly curating what I want. I am releasing hats and wreaths from the house.
Finally! Someone who uses good old fashioned Christmas stockings, in, dare I say it…Red! All the grey, stone, ice blue and white-only Christmas decor becomes tirelessly trendy.
Love all her paintings and beautifully painted walls..SO MUCH COLOR…..FINALLY NO GRAY OR ALL WHITE….so pretty. After your amaryllis bloom out…plant them in your yard…..mines e been blooming for years.
I enjoyed touring this beautiful home and our hostess was so charming! The walls in the living room were such an interesting color and the gold frames just popped!! I loved the "Hodgepodge" Christmas treen. Beautiful memories!! Thank you for sharing!
This is such a beautiful homeworthy tour. Certainly the coziest and a wonderful inspiration to add more to my home. One of my favorite tours by far. Thank you.
Love, love, love the home filled with story and sentiment. Bravo for the use of colour and pattern. I can feel the comfort and hospitality all the way from Australia!

Sweet and decent THE ESSENCE OF MOM AND WHAT MAKES A HOME THANK YOU HAPPY HOLIDAYS
One of the best of Homeworthy!

The hostess seems genuine and sweet, and I appreciate that she opened her lovely home for us. She explained the history of the house and her family’s history with this house very well. Thank you.
The designer who owns this house is the most interesting host Homeworthy has had. I love her home and I love how she described everything.
Georgian colonials are some of my favorite types of homes, and this home did not disappoint. What I particularly love is how cozy the rooms feel despite the large size of the overall house. Beautiful! I love that this home obviously belongs to a designer but totally tells the story of the family and what matters to them.
You are so fortunate to have a good life. Merry Christmas and all of God's Blessings carrying on in the light of Christ and the blessings of Christmas. Christ is the reason for Christmas! 🎄
This is what I call a home. Warm, lived-in, welcoming. If I could I would hire her in a heart beat. Congratulations.
Totally love her maximalist home! She definitely loves her family, is down to earth and seems like a great conversationalist!😊
What a welcoming, comfortable home, and what a gracious lady.
The most authentically beautiful home i've seen! it feels 100% collected and perfectly curated! love love love

I drive by her shop almost every day, and it's a beautiful asset to Newton! Her house doesn't disappoint either.
The home is gorgeous, outside and inside. I especially like how the kitchen and dining room were opened to each other and how the enlarged space still looks cozy. I like Elizabeth's style for her home. Love Woody, the cute doggie.
What a beautifully curated culturally vibrant home❤
Homeworthy Thank you! A lovely house and loving home. Knew this would be special when Ms. Benedict included her beloved Woody in the introduction. So much to see and hear about but not in an overwhelming way and made one hope for an invitation to return. 🌹🌹🌹
Me too. When I saw Woody and how close they were I knew this was a special home.

Decorating one's own house is indeed paralyzing! Thank you for validating that; I'm comforted now knowing that it isn't just me.
Your home is wonderful, Elizabeth. Thank you so much for letting us peek inside. I want to know where you got your dress! It's fabulous and I want one!! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of the viewer's!! 🎄🕯🎁💝
I got my dress in Morocco at a little shop in Marrakeh called Kaftans by Mo

I absolutely love how welcoming, homely & beautifully layered this house is… My kind of home for sure! ❤❤❤
hands down one of the best home tours yet. the richness, depth, and love in the space is breathtaking.
Love the kitchen. It’s efficient and not cavernous! Such a homey home. Noticed The Federalist wine label on the second bar cart ❤️👍

yet another episode I watched twice. Just love this home
I enjoyed many aspects of this lovely home, especially the prints chosen for upholstery, the kitchen, the sunroom and the dining room chandelier. It’s all very joyful!
I love this house! It’s not another white box! Everything has a story. Her home is cozy, even though big.
like the reds and blues. I own 2 small sofas from the 80"s I love too.
She is so endearing!!! What a beautiful home full of treasures! Those puppers are adorable...goofy!

I too love old school Christmas colours. But there is a corner in my place that does Winter Wonderland Land. That is fun too.
Love all her paintings and beautifully painted walls..SO MUCH COLOR…..FINALLY NO GRAY OR ALL WHITE….so pretty. After your amaryllis bloom out…plant them in your yard…..mines e been blooming for years.
The powder room is the most PRECIOUS …..that sink is to die for and love the wallpaper….so jealous!!!!!

This was practically perfect in every way!
Cozy & fancy. Love it.
Loved this home right from the amazing exterior all the way to the end. Just beautiful!
Wow! That Santa collection is fantastic!
Lovely!
I liked watching the owner/hostess arranging the place settings on the table.
Interesting. That's my least favorite part. 😉
Stunning.
