12x16 is a great size. You’ll have to let us know what specific one you end up using. Would be a good idea on our end to have more knowledge on the different types of epoxy.
There’s a header above the window on the sidewall because it’s a load bearing wall. the window and door are under the end walls, so the truss is supporting the load. That’s why there isn’t headers above those. Good question.
