    I hope it helps you in your painting journey. I have been sharing the Joy of Painting since I became certified in 2002.
    I teach classes at our farm and online. I travel teach for the Bob Ross Company a few times a year, including the Bob Ross Experience at Minnetrista, in Muncie Indiana, where Bob filmed many of his PBS shows.
    I teach an online painting course each month, called Dreams on Canvas. In this course, I break a painting of Bob’s down into 3 small paintings in preparation for the larger painting in lesson 5, so you are fully prepared to paint the big one! We do that for two weeks, for two beautiful paintings and with each lesson you receive a personal video critique to help you to excel in Bob’s Wet on Wet painting technique.
    While you are there, sign up for my newsletter and if you are not an instructor, and have never received a free critique from me, please send me a photo of one of your paintings and I’ll send you a free critique as soon as possible

    I hope you’re not breathing in particulates of thinner as you’re beating your brush.

      Hi there, no worries! I’ve been using paint thinner for 24 years now, painting very often. I’ve never experienced any kind of breathing problems. As long as a person is careful, and do not have any underlying health conditions, I believe they will be fine. 😀

      Go ahead and beat the devil out of it in your living room. I’d love to see that 😁

      Considering beating the devil out of it on the easel is what probably caused Bob to get cancer in the first place, maybe the brush beater rack is a better alternative. Not to mention Bob has recommeneded to use the beater rack before.

    what is the freezer bag for? is it because the paint thinner evaporates faster without it since the bucket is made of plastic and i dont think it seals it as tight as an aluminum paint can

      I like using the freezer bag for a number of reasons. One, when I wash my brushes, I can use it to squeeze the brush from the outside. Also, the pigment setting to the bottom of the bag is easier to dispose of than if it settles to the bottom of the bucket. I seal my bag and the lid of the plastic bucket (which seals so well that it's difficult for me to remove) and both together do a really good job.

    Can you reuse the paint thinner ?

    • @paintwithfaye
      @paintwithfaye  3 роки тому +1

      Yes, you certainly can!
      The pigment of the paint will settle to the bottom of the can, and the paint thinner will become almost clear again. I just continue to add more paint thinner as times go by. 😊

    Whats the chain linked thing that you drag the brush on with the paint thinner called?

    • @paintwithfaye
      @paintwithfaye  2 роки тому

      Hey! It’s a plastic coated screen that Bob designed. It fits inside the BR thinner. bucket. 😀
