That's why I never went to a gym. This seems to be a common thing with gym memberships. In a perfect world, I'd love to get one. It would be nice to have access to a variety of equipment like your weights, bars, and treadmills. However, situations like this are why I have not gotten one. It's sad because I have always loved a good workout. Getting a gym membership is just not worth the risk. At this point, you're safer and better off investing in your own gym equipment. Or if you live in an apartment, some have gyms built for residents to access. For me, I am working to get a punching bag one day.
Maybe cancelling at the place in person would have solved the issue. It’s dumb to take someone’s word over the telephone or a reply to email. People truly are lazy… for the last two decades. Gyms are cesspools of germs and obnoxious people, anyway. I avoid them.
I would not cancel my membership over the phone or via email. Get off your lazy butts to go in and cancel and make sure you sign physical papers. People act as though doing something physical is beyond the realm of decency.

gym membership practices are absolutely scammy, not just this Crunch Fitness. there should be some laws against these practices to protect consumers.

Crunch Corporate plays games making impossible to cancel. My advice get kicked out . They cancel membership on the spot.
