Happy New Year people ! 2018 was amazing, I'd like to finish this year off with this video. I will see you next year with new amazing stuff!
I missed many things from S11 of this show, especially the TARDIS as a character and not just a machine that does stuff, it has been established in the show that this machine is a sentient being as one might say she has been the oldest companion of them all, always there for The Doctor. I hope they will change things next Series and completely change their minds on a lot of stuff because the TARDIS is not a set, it is home to all of us.

The Ninth Doctor's era was a roller coster.
The Tenth Doctor's era was an adventure.
The Eleventh Doctor's era was a magic quest.
The Twelfth Doctor's era was a fairytale.
All of them beautifully haunting, mysterious and precious to our minds.
This is what I miss from the new Doctor. The melancholy, the rage, the desire to do good, the need to punish your enemies. Now the Doctor just travels with her friends. She’s so much less engrossing. Which is a shame because she’s a great actor with a mediocre script
Although i do agree with you on that,the doctor has always had melancholy,rage etc but this new season is kinda like the classic era.The Doctor travelling with friends,just a traveller and at least her scripts are not like some of the scripts capaldi got like Hell Bent which in my opinion was and always will be the worst episode of doctor who in its entirety.These are just my opinions,i have never hated a doctor and never will,too me they are all my doctor and i have enjoyed every episode apart from Hell Bent because that took away everything the doctor was too me.I have enjoyed Series 11 as much as i have enjoyed everything else but again these are my opinions,i respect yours.
@@RassilonProductions I agree with you but the fact that serie 11 looks like classic Doctor Who is bad. Classic Doctor Who are cool but New Doctor Who are nearly perfect. Improvement are cool but decline is not.
And I like Hell bent, Capaldi had really deep line while talking with Clara in the dinner and the episode is really well made with the fact that we learn at the end that the Doctor in the dinner forgot about Clara
Retro Gaming Central I would love you to evaluate why you hate Hell Bent and consider it the worst episode. Even below Love and Monsters, Idiots Lantern and so on
@@TheGaroStudios I don't hate an episode of doctor who personally i think Hell Bent is eh for me because of certain moments,The Doctor killing someone for one and the excuse given is terrible.Both the tenth and twelve doctors have described regeneration to be like death so for the doctor to inflict that on someone who was helping him although not agreeing on saving clara with a valid reason.The Doctor didn't kill the man who killed his daughter so the fact that the doctor would kill someone who killed clara is moffat dictating people in the direction that Clara is the most important character in who history.Initially i thought it was a good story but then i understood it the more i watched it,it succeeded in what it wanted to do but what it wanted to do was stupid.It completely undermines and ruins the death of clara and heaven sent.You had a built up tragic death then grief and then broke what he built by bringing her back.The fact that the doctor shot someone,he has made the comparison of regeneration to death.I don't care that he loves clara and will do anything for her you don't do that!Clara had an amazing exit but the lengths the doctor goes to bringing her back are unnecessary and terrible.The Doctor has never crossed these lines for ANY companion,not Adric,not Amy nor Rory.The whole point of Hell Bent was the return of Gallifrey which was thrown to the side for what we got which was Clara,Clara,CLARA.I do like the scenes between the doctor and clara in the episode although i do not like the fact the diner was a tardis.Clara is egotistical,Gallifrey looks beautiful,Timothy Dalton is the best Rassilon,the camera work is amazing,the barn is used again,the time lords interaction with the doctor is wrong because there are some scenes in which they tell the doctor to drop any weapons,how are the sisters of karn there? Rassilon is not imposing whatsoever and honestly Gallifrey and the fight between Rassilon should've been the focus point of this episode,not Clara.How did the doctor use his technology on Gallifrey,he has no power there like what the hell there are so many moments just there for the hell of it.Again these are just my opinions and of course i respect yours,the reason i think its slightly worse than love and monsters or The Idiots Lantern is because the doctor is still the doctor,i like the waters of mars because the episodes written better and his reasoning was better because he was trying to be good.I don't "hate" any episode in doctor who,i can still watch and appreciate Hell Bent but the hybrid led knowhere,Clara was the main theme again etc i just dislike it more than most episodes.
I would also like to mention that your videos are truly amazing and just amazing beautiful pieces of "modern art" @TheGaroStudios never stop making them and just keep on doing what your doing because again its amazing!

I was really sad that the TARDIS got so little play in S11 especially since they seemed to immediately establish that bond between the doctor and the TARDIS in the ghost monument.
Ikr. That scene was so good only to then ignore the TARDIS for the rest of the season 😢

Yeah it can be, but doesn't seem like it can be with Whitaker and Chibnall. All the political correctness, sexism and racism and character & plot development that's really bland. Not to mention how divided the fanbase has become to the point where DW fans are attacking other DW fans. Someone like Graeme Harper or Neil Gaimen might be able to do a really great job as showrunner if they're ever asked. Maybe even Neil Cross, creator of Luther, who wrote Hide and Rings Of Akhaten.

I don’t rate Jodie’s acting in doctor who though she was brilliant in broadchurch
She mixes aspects of 11s whimsy/10s frantic energy/12s dry humour and I find it irritating, make it your own and be more subtle when parts of old regenerations come through
The scripts are poor, all but episode 3 are forgettable
I miss murray golds wonderful music
I miss good companions, god just compare Rose Amy Rory River Clara to flipping Ryan and Yasmin ugh
Yeah I must admit the Last season was... Meh... I really liked the New doctor and the New tardis but... the plot was... Kind of boring, with less emotion...
We need wayyyy more TARDIS scenes for this Doc. I love her, but before, the TARDIS used to be where conversations were held, discussions, like it felt like a home. But there hasn't been much of that this series. Hope that improves. And I definitely think we need more episodes like The Doctor's Wife or Journey to the centre of the TARDIS, where the focus is on the TARDIS. They need to bring back the "sentient" side of her. Not simply a machine aha. Also more time vortex in these episodes. Considering the lack of it in the opening theme. They should make up for that in the episodes lol. Really love this video though. Splendid.
Her story's and companions are terrible so far. She is okay/good but it can't save singlehandedly.
Finally I understand what’s missing from the last season. I hope the soul and the spark makes an appearance again at some point, otherwise the show will definitely turn into regular friendly sci-fi. Beautiful video as always

Nah, I feel ya - I feel like he's the biggest problem because the scripts have been lacking where Jodie has not! I adore Thirteen but she hasn't been allowed enough range!

I knew I wasn't crazy, from the beginning I felt there was something off with the new TARDIS, as beautiful as the new design might be. They haven't given it a proper character (because it IS a character) development. It needs to be a place where they feel safe, where they can banter, laugh, plan their next adventure and so on. I hope they realize how important the TARDIS is to all of us. (Also give Jodie a wider emotional range, please). Btw brilliant video, you always make me cry!

I think there are a few problems with the TARDIS, lack of character development is certainly one thing, some problems are the design though, as good as the design is, I think it's too detailed on the wrong areas at point and not detailed enough in others, like the walls, it's the same constant pattern on the walls which is kind of boring to me, and in the centre there's just a huge crystal thing, but that's a big change from the usual centre, usually the centre has some uppy downy stuff and is transparent with something inside of it, but it's just this thing in the middle with nothing inside, there should've been something inside it to give something else to focus on, something to properly associate with the TARDIS, the centre piece and the controls are what give the TARDIS most of it's character, but the entre is pretty dull to be like that

I must admit, while I love the trills and vworping of Segun Akinola’s music, Murray Gold’s was undeniably Doctor Who. Great video as always!

This works so well...I miss Murray Gold. I do enjoy the new composer, but Gold's score was sooo...epic and full of emotion.

I went to BBC studios in 65 to see the making of Dr.Who, coffee percolator and all. Loved the show all my life. Its like comfort food for old Englishmen. I'm 70 now. What has happened to the show breaks my heart. I learned a lot of right from wrong through the doctor, as have my kids. But I feel that has now been lost to my grandchildren. Perhaps its failure is a reflection of Britain in general.
Murray Gold is deeply missed. The new score sounds like my yoga class when we go into corpse pose.

Even though you cant show new clips because its all terrible now. You still make these videos absolutely fantastic.
i miss this doctor who. god i miss it so much. the rage, the passion, the fun, the humour, the love, the sorrow. i wish the new one could go one second without droning on about hope. like we heard you the first time. when the other doctors did that, it brought butterflies to my stomach and made me feel like they were actually speaking truth. now it just makes me cringe.
I'm really glad that even though you don't like series 11 you still didn't give up on the show like other editors have. I really do hope the BBC will listen to criticism and do something about it in S12, because this last season was horrible. Jodie really does have potential and hopefully the scripts aren't shit in 2020.
Something tells me the BBC are too stubborn to listen to the fans and will just drive the show into the ground.

Doctor who was my favourite show when I was young..stopped watching it when Matt smith finished as the 12th doctor. Watching these videos always reminds me of my past and what I loved so much about these shows.

In an interview last year, Peter Capaldi said that Steven Moffat contributed a lot to the show, perhaps more than we’d then realized, and would be recognized for it in hindsight.
One year later, I’m starting to see precisely what it was he meant.
Y'know, in a way we're all mad men with a box. We're all mostly safe inside of it. And mostly no one can get inside of it. We use that box to get away from our daily problems and things we can't face. But we can use that box to go where we need to go. It's mostly up to us in how we use it, and that box always wants the best for us.
It saddens me that this is the last Garo Studio video for doctor who in what, a year and 3 months. It shows a lot if even Garo can't made anything he hasn't already made with any of the stuff from the new series. I feel like it's just lost its spark. Or maybe I'm just a bit old for it now. I really hope I'm not cause I look forward to watching who even now, even when it's not as fun or interesting or even good. That little hope of "new doctor who this week, let's see how it's gonna rank" and sark perfectly encapsulates that feeling towards Who for me. Please don't stop Haro. You break my heart but make it feel so alive

So much emotion and wonder contained within a short video. Nicely done, GarosStudios. BTW I liked S11. I thought a number of its episodes were solid like Rosa, The Demons of Punjab, and It Takes You Away. But I admit S11 wasn't one of the show's best seasons. However, I believe things will improve next season like it did with Capaldi after his first season as the Doctor. Just be patient.

Here we have a man with a box...but.... there's something special about this box and the man who resides within, both are far, far, FAR out of there own time. The doctor a magical man with an even more magical box who's been to the most empty desolate parts of the universe and the most magical and enchanting parts too, seen things from a giant planet with a diamond surface, to an entire planet with a desert surface, met supposed gods and even an angel itself, to flying ravenous hordes of armour plated sting rays yes you heard me right STING RAYS, He knows things no-one should know he's seen things wondrous and terrifying things and creatures that very few have seen and one day he might visit you. Hush and listen for a whuring and humming sound and the creak of a door, you'll know it's him.

I really miss the TARDIS as a character, and if there's an episode that I would recommend to anyone, it would be "The Doctor's wife." The TARDIS is so much more than just a box ! She is his first companion, the oldest of them all. The one who have been here since the beginning of his journey.
In serie 11... well, "the Ghost Monument" was the only episode were we can see that. It's just so sad ! I miss her :'(

Series 11, man what a mess. It doesn’t have the feel of Doctor Who, the life in it.
I totally agree about the tardis too btw, we haven’t even seen the characters be in it for more then a minute, it always felt like HQ, where all the characters would operate to work out a plan, it was their home, now it’s just a simple machine

Thanks for showing what this show was. This is the first time I'm really not excited to watch the next doctor who episode. Can't compare to the excitement I had for series 10.

A absolutely beautiful video. 💚 I know you don’t like season 11 (I don’t much either), and I agree with everyone on here saying Jodie is a good choice for a doctor, but the writing is lackluster. However, it would fantastic to see you create a video with clips from it anyways. Not because season 11 was good, but because it would be fantastic to see what season 11 COULD have been. Short clips of the few good bits of Jodie mixed in with lots of other new Who content to provide the proper feel? Yes please! It’s a bit of an odd concept and would probably be hard to pull off, but if anyone could do it, I think you could! Just a suggestion tho. I’m sure whatever you create in the new year will be lovely anyways. 😊

I love 13 and agree her stories werent the best but there are some nice moments you could play with :) Im just getting so sad with some youtubers not adding her at all because they didnt enjoy the season but she is still the doctor in the end of the day. Awww this is beautiful! I agree that s11 didn't have half the heart and soul and magic of say eleven's era. However I feel this is more down to the scripts and stories than Jodie Whittaker. I personally love thirteen; the main thing missing for me is the darkness that is inside every Doctor, that rage, the part that makes mistakes and shows they are capable of terrible things as well as wonderful things. For me that part is vital to the show, and it really felt lacking. Every episode I was just wishing she would snap and show us what she was capable of; at this rate I'd even sacrifice a companion or two to make that happen, just because it's so frustrating how limited it is with her always being this lovely, wondering person. That being said, I love the new companions and Rosa (historical episodes have been among this season's greatest strengths) and I don't think it's half as bad as people are saying it is. I'm hoping Chibnall will find his feet next season, or at least not write as many episodes, because I feel he's the main problem; his prior episodes in dw were decent at best and the s11 finale was the first finale in new who that didn't even feel like a Finale. It's very frustrating but hey I still have hope! :)

Ive resorted to watching your videos a ton to experience the character of the Doctor since series 11, as while shes an amazing actor the writing just makes her feel like a cardboard cutout of the 11th doctor without any of the actual character or emotion behind it, a situation i hope New Years and series 12 will fix
